You honestly might be the best TH-cam barber . I love how you break things down and make it simple. I'm a covid era Barber so your content is complete gold
I have been cutting my own hair for the past 4 years and am amazed how good it's come out. I'm self-taught (from watching my previous barber) but your videos have been very helpful. I do this cut, but have slightly thinner/less hair and leave it a bit longer on top. For the back and sides I usually just do 4 (very little comes off), 3, 2, then 1 as I go down (opening and closing the lever in between to blend). I wish I could stand behind myself to do this scissor over comb correctly! Ha. I like that it's saved me money, but I love that it's saved me time (driving to my barber, etc.)
That's amazing. Since covid I've been cutting my hubby's hair. He's 81 now and insists I'm doing a good job but I'm always a wee bit scared. I've learned a lot watching you today , thank you so much. That was a beautiful hair style you gave that gent. Great video. 🇦🇺❤🙏👏👏👏

I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair, since Covid 2020, your video has helped me to refine my skills. Retired RN, never thought in a million years I would be doing this, could not find a barber or stylist that could make his top thinning hair to lay down better, no comb over for us, your precise technique helped me to master that area, a big Thanks Again for sharing your talent. I very rarely hop into TH-cam comment sections but I'm hoping you'll see this comment! I made the plunge back in September to begin leaving my Decade long Culinary/Chef career and start Barbering and today I finished my Level 2 with majority A's and some B's and I cannot thank you enough for your informative and educational channel along with your Instagram Content. Mate, love watching and learning from your videos. Your videos are very practical. I'm not a barber but have been cutting my own hair for a while. Cheers mate!
Thank you for sharing your skills. I have 3 teenage boys. They are super protective over their hair. I have watched your videos over, and over to be able to cut their hair. They smiled when I was done. The only complaint I have from them is that it takes me an hour.
Really? I got my clippers in today, and i cut my hair in 5 minutes. Theres a video out there where a barber cuts his own hair using just a number 3 guard. Up the sides and back flowing the bone. Then combing hair on top towards front, the. Start at BACK and go to eyes with it. I was literally done in 5 min. Check it out. Have a good one.
i do a similar cut to myself except i only use clippers! not as neat as this but gets the job done. i pick the length i want the top part to be and buzz my whole head to that length, but leaving a little in the bangs. then i use a shorter guard and the sides and back up to the ridges or where a baseball cap would cover. then i pick a couple of in-between guard lengths and blend the top long part into the side short part. nobody has mocked me yet!
Brilliant tutorial! I have been cutting my husband's hair since lock down, and now I can hone my skills with the scissors over comb technique! Fingers crossed 👍 thanks for sharing!
You are a phenomenal teacher sir. I’m not a license barber due to the fact that I’m a police officer in Phila, Pa. So work schedule makes it very difficult or impossible for to do so. But I wanted to touch on something that you mentioned about your clients dark spot in back center of his neck. Now I’m sure you know this but I learned if they just put they’re head down, it doesn’t always make that dent go away BUT if they straighten out their back (shoulders) and then put their head down, it goes 100% of the time. Just wanted to share this for any new barber or hobbyist. Once again sir PLEASE continue these scissor / comb cuts. I swear I think I saw heaven when I came across your vids. I like how you treat the hair above the parietal ridge as the top hair. I absolutely cannot stand when barbers fade into that area. Makes my head look like a #2 pencil with the eraser as my hair.
I appreciate your video. I noticed on another similar video you cut the man's hair on top from back to front first and not from front to back. Just wondering which way is better. Thanks
Well spotted D. There is not a correct answer to that question. The reason I do that is so that I can show variation on the channel. Really you can start anywhere if you have a plan. A lot of learners feel more confident starting at the back because the client can't watch them, but it's entirely personal choice.
@@theoneminutebarber that is good to know. I have been cutting my kids and husband's hair for years and I was just making sure again I was doing it right. It always looks good but was still wanting to know. I guess I'll just keep doing the top like I do. Thanks
Sir, you do an amazing job Scissors over Comb. The difference and I have looked to see if you did use a Razor in your Techniques? You did a very detail job of Describing the Bones of Skull. I was once a Hair Performer in Mexico. Now retired in USA. So what your doing is I most definitely worth for those Barbers or Cosmetologists. All those Bones you have described? Is where I used the Razor Thinner. And would come back and use the Comb over Scissors or Clippers. So the Haircuts you would have finished ? And if I were to come right behind you ? I would be able to get additional hair off your cut without changing the Style you created. In no way am I criticizing your work. You definitely have Mastered it. So if you have in Videos using the Razor ? This Razor can Speed up removing the Excessive Hair Thickness. And when you can finish a Cut in less it creates an opportunity for the Barber to get in more Clients. If you don’t have any Razor Techniques you should research it. Once again you did an amazing Job and to have only 20 years. I have 47 years and was given this training from A Barber and A Cosmetologist their Combine experiences that total a little over 100years. And why I am sharing with you. There’s a demand for this Professionalism. Thanks for sharing this and what the World of Hair needs today ! Regards
This is the best tutorial I've seen... I'm a bit nervous, my boy with autism, when I took him to a hairdresser, he rejected to sit, I've been took him to the same hairdresser since he was little... Now he soon be 14...and I don't know why now he doesn't want to cut his hair cut in💈... Wish me luck... 😐
I do t have anything like that but I will make a note to film it if I get the chance. I also don’t cut hair with a clipper guard any longer than a number 4, I feel like I have more control with the scissors on top as it’s not so uniform
i do like the detail of rocking the clipper back from the hair line.i do the same thing when dusting off,i tend to cut in to the hair length again ? Doh !
I also use that method. It crops up in a few of my videos but I e not specifically spoke about. That said I might make a video that focuses on edge finishes.
I tend to avoid using thinners on the side for blending in as the regrowth can unveil what I call poppers, the thinned hair that isn’t long enough to lay flat. It can also puff up the sides.
Hi, I'm a fan of your work and tutorials I learn more from you than from the course I finish two months ago, thanks to you I understand better, did you can give a haircut to a gentleman half bald, I mean with only hair on the sides, what kind of techniques is more appropriate for this kind of haircut area visually appealing, thanks in advance, lots of blessings for you 😊

Thanks
tank you the best teacher who explains in the easiest way
Thank you
You are perfect teacher, finally I got how to do that! Thanks a lot!!!!
You're welcome! 😁
Amazing technique learning a lot .. so glad I found the channel 👍🏼
Welcome Lesley and thank you
Sir, you do an amazing job Scissors over Comb.
Regards
Very well done! I have learned some new stuff! Thanks sir.
Glad to help
I like how you explain
This is the best tutorial I've seen... I'm a bit nervous, my boy with autism, when I took him to a hairdresser, he rejected to sit, I've been took him to the same hairdresser since he was little... Now he soon be 14...and I don't know why now he doesn't want to cut his hair cut in💈...
Wish me luck... 😐
good luck Nanette. I hope the video helps and makes it easier.
I love this video. It is easy to follow. Could you please share with me what hair clipper brand are you using? Thank you in advance. ❤️
Thank you Audrey the clipper is a Wahl magic clip
From Syria , Big thanks for you dude ❤️🤟
Damn that scissors work is phenomenal
Thank you ☺️
That wide angle lens makes your hands and tools look huge!
That's the real size of my hands 😂
Lol, it was a slight error when I set the go pro up, I accidentally left it on superwide.
Excelente muchas gracias estoy aprendiendo lo haces muy fácil gracias
Muchas gracias ☺️
Awesome video, thank you! I was wondering if you have a video with a #1 on the sides with a medium fade and a #6 or 7 on top?
I know you used a number one at the very bottom but a number one used to do a mid fade.
I do t have anything like that but I will make a note to film it if I get the chance. I also don’t cut hair with a clipper guard any longer than a number 4, I feel like I have more control with the scissors on top as it’s not so uniform
Great video, thanks!
You're welcome!
Thank you for your videos. Very clear and easy to follow. Watching this makes me feel confident that I can execute it correctly. Good luck to my son😂
You can do it.
It there a way to tell in the front when your fingers or comb it are straight with the head or at an angle?
I think I understand the question. I would say keep your lines parallel to the head in the most basic instant.
Looks good he had very straight hair most don't which makes it tough.
i do like the detail of rocking the clipper back from the hair line.i do the same thing when dusting off,i tend to cut in to the hair length again ? Doh !
Amazing video, served its complete purpose.!Thankyou
Спасибо! Очень доходчиво!
I use a Combe and edgers to taper. I think it’s easier. You should do a video on that.
I also use that method. It crops up in a few of my videos but I e not specifically spoke about. That said I might make a video that focuses on edge finishes.
great video, well edited, easy to follow. I feel like I could competently cut my son's hair for his dance.
Let me know how it goes
I'm doing the barbering course and I see your videos.thank you very much,u always have my likes and subscribe
Such a handsome client, with a perfect profile!
You must be the client
Im watching this barber cut for adults can i blend both side with tinning scissors instead of scissors? Thank
I tend to avoid using thinners on the side for blending in as the regrowth can unveil what I call poppers, the thinned hair that isn’t long enough to lay flat. It can also puff up the sides.
Excellent teaching thank you.
You are very welcome thank you 🙏
Hi, I'm a fan of your work and tutorials I learn more from you than from the course I finish two months ago, thanks to you I understand better, did you can give a haircut to a gentleman half bald, I mean with only hair on the sides, what kind of techniques is more appropriate for this kind of haircut area visually appealing, thanks in advance, lots of blessings for you 😊
Thank you JQ. I think just cut it as normal, as it there is hair on top blend the sides like in this video. It will work well
Thanks!
There is few hairs on the top, but I just cut the ends , thanks again for the quick response.😊
Wish I could find a barber like you where I live!! There so difficult to find.
If your ever in Scotland
