I miss Elizabeth Obege on the airwaves, her signature tune, The Lion never sleeps was unique,a unique South African hit song of the sixties. Then she would really wind up her listeners with the question, mchakamchaka mtaweza?!! All the best Elizabeth Obege.
I truly miss the old Voice of Kenya. You never fully value what you have until you lose it. Today's radio stations are noisy and childish. I never listen any more.
Alex Bundi did the same thing for me many many years ago, probably before Elizabeth Obege was given a tour of KBC.When I got my tour, it was known as VOK. Good man Alex Bundi. I was just a young lad with ambitions, he had nothing to gain but took his time and took me around the studio and showed me everything. I wanted to be a movie star back then. I would like to know where he is. Please.
Elizabeth Obege, Amina Fakih, Gladys Erude, Khadija Ali, legends never die.
