Refuge Cove | Desolation Sound | British Columbia

Refuge Cove is located about 150 kilometers northwest of Vancouver, between Vancouver Island and the mainland. The two ways to arrive directly in Refuge Cove are by boat and by float plane. It is possible to get within thirteen miles of Refuge Cove by car, traveling the rest of the way on a private boat or water taxi.

When visiting, once, i saw some huge birds circling, that looked larger than the regular local eagles. It was explained to me that, some years, a few California Condors migrate for a few weeks of high summer.

I'm sorry to say that I've overlooked stopping in Refuge Cove each time I'm up in Desolation Sound. This video is great! Next time I'm cruising, I'm definitely stopping in.

This would proabably have been a good video if not for that horrible music in the foreground. If they would put it in the backbround you would mayby be able to hear the narrator.

Seems like an interesting little spot. I doubt I'll ever make there, but it certainly is scenic.
