You must have insurance to go out to the west coast. We did not. So we travelled between Seattle and Port hardy. We also moored in the Fraser river where current is a common thing to contend with. Fun !!

Yes it was definitely a learning experience and a mistake I won't make again. Fortunately we were close to help and avoided a spill.
