I saw a tweet today that the gulfstream park turf races were being hand timed and distances of some races were about 5 1/2f for instance. I imagine this would affect the speed figures in some way.
Yes that is affecting the speed figures makes 1-2 points guesswork
What are run-ups? Also, are the EquiBase speed figures located in a track’s racing program. If so, those speed ratings are listed with two numbers, for example, 70-84. What do these numbers represent?
Run ups are where the gate is positioned before clocking starts in a race. For example horses may run 30 feet before the actual timer starts on.a six furlongs race .
Are there any AI sites to run hypothetical races based on horses’ charts ?
Which of the three speed figures do you use in your handicapping?
I use Brisnet the most then equibase
