Those were horrible I tried every trick. Put pressure on wedges and drove tractor in circles hitting the brakes. Just ended up having to go midevil with sledge hammer. Had arm cramps for couple days after that lol.
5:58 Take the studs that come from HF and chuck them in the trash. Had a friend that bought one of those. I was using it on some flavor of vintage JD. Damn things would not stick like they should. I have a few decades of autobody experince so I know how the process should work. Buy some quality ones and your experience will greatly improve. Additionally. If you can get to the back side of a panel, you have no busness using a stud welder. The rare exception is when using a stud lever. I'll move on. I can see the color is wrong.
Yeah for sure those studs aren't good. As far as the rest of ur blah blah blah I was just trying it out since it had been on shelf in shop forever. It's far from my 1st rodeo lol
What is the best to use in bare metal epoxy primer or etch primer?? In etch I know that you can use filling primer after the etch but in the epoxy I dont know..
Either one works epoxy would probably be my choice because it fills pretty good .you have to be careful on what fill primer you put over acid etch make sure its compatible
I get it in peru illinois at a place called colors but I belive they have stores around the country. The guys I deal with are awesome at color matching and finding what I need or answering any questions about any of the products they sell it's pretty rare anymore. Thanks for the comment 👍

Let's hope that all the meticulous work you both have been putting into this project gets reflected in the selling price. Great job.

@rgfarmsrepair503 Good to hear I'm only about an hour from there 👍
What would you charge to paint a 4240 in good condition with 4500 hours.
I don't do outside work anymore but it would $10k real fast.
@@rgfarmsrepair503 thanks..if you decide to do outside work any more let me know...thanks
Those hubs are bad as the IH wedge locks.
