I believe that your last point mainly applies to more formal outfits. When the occasion is more casual, I think it's fine and it can even look good with the right combination of clothing.
The one thing guys should be really careful about is Plucking your brows be very moderate if you really kneed to do it have it done by a professional I’ve seen great dressed handsome guys and completely wrecked destroyed with eyebrows that looked like a actress from the 1920
