I have been a Niagara Resident for most of my life and I grew up in a home with Italian parents and wholesome food. Matty and his team are knocking it out of the park with the food and hospitality at Rizzo’s. It’s so wonderful to enjoy the food like Mama used to make right close to home. I encourage everyone to give them a try.
I gotta say Matty, I’ve always loved to cook and you increased that so much. You’re style of cooking is so fucking fantastic. The love to show ingredients and the way you express a recipe is wonderful and shines through in every episode. You’re a wonderful person and chef, and you inspire so many home cooks to improve and appreciate ingredients.
I haven't enjoyed watching another chef this much since the passing of Anthony bourdain. Matty has truly helped bring some of that joy back into my life. This man is just the best ❤
lol, there was double-dipping all over the place! i know there's health concerns, but it's also very human too, germs and all. probably how we kept herd immunity on some diseases, lol ;) great transporter of both, shared food. loved seeing this side of the personality.
My favorite part of this is, when he describes his idea at the start, he finishes by asking Kevin "Is that okay?" I know it's kind of offhand, but it shows that Matty trusts the head chef of his restaurant, and lets him make the call on something being good or bad for the menu.
25+ yrs cooking in casinos and resorts and I sit here so frustrated with being confined to basic menu and not exploring food more , making people happy.. and just working FOR someone not with someone. I would uproot , and move 100% to work under Matty just to learn and have the experience of everything. I'll keep dreamin but I hope someday I can get a chance to meet or even cook for Matty. This was an awesome video. I enjoyed it.
Next to truffle mortadella, porchetta is no longer available in my Italian market, also not local. The preservative application of the porchetta herbs/fruit/spices base, are flavors to get into the fat layers, best provided using a butterfly butcher cut on these full bellies, easily providing the many flavored layers of beautifully sliced, rolled belly, Italian Porchetta SO fine. So happy to see real food preps.. thanks Matty. ❤

I tried Maker Pizza a little while ago, and was quite disappointed. It looked delicious on first glance, but had wayyyyyyy too much sauce and cheese piled in the middle of the pizza. The thing was almost impossible to eat. I don't think that's indicative of all of Matty's places, but that was a let-down for sure, since it was my first experience trying something he had a hand in.
What a great episode Matty, love your crazy shows, reminds me a lot of our Aussie crazy but really enjoyed watching you just enjoying the experience with your boys❤️
