I’d love to visit this town and maybe even live in it cause it looks beautiful. Though I’d mostly like to visit a town south of Richmond called Bright since it was founded by my 6th great grandfather John C Gibson.
Despite it being a Sunday when he's filming, notice how there are very few patrons. That's because Richmond is a slowly dying little town. What was once a busy "downtown" area is now mostly closed buildings. Businesses and restaurants are closing right and left. There are only two or three decent restaurants in a town of mostly fast food. Richmond used to be a vibrant manufacturing hub, but no more. Yes, there is still manufacturing but not like in the past. This is due to an unfriendly labor climate and lack of a reliable, stable workforce. The largest employer is the hospital system. When a towns' demographic is composed of approx. 50% renters, that tells you something about the population. Fortunately, Richmond is within driving distance of Dayton, Cincinnati and Indianapolis of one wants what a modest size city offers.
This is my hometown born and raised, It was a great place to grow up 😊
