  • This video explains how to create and setup a Creo Parametric or Pro/ENGINEER Title Block using tables and automatically populated fields. This way of creating a Title Block makes it easy to apply to any of your drawings. It takes a few minutes to create a title block like this, but the benefits of not messing with line and content placement is well worth the effort.

Thanks for the tutorial it was really helpful. How did you insert the projection symbol into the title block? I have been trying for days and can't seem to work it out. cheers.

This was very helpful up to the point where the company symbol appears. Like most of the commentors, I spent the last few days trying to figure out how to create a symbol and get it into the frm for insertion into the title block. I have the image as a scalable vector file, but no luck. Could you do a tutorial on just that?

Hi Dave, There is no tool to convert from JPEG. You would have to add the image in and use it as a guide for your sketch.

Great video and very help full. I have a question though about the border.
How do you insert the letters and numbers for the zones (i.e. Zone A1) in the borders? In other words how do you get the 'Location Grid' to stay permanently when exporting or printing? Seems you have that in there somehow.

      Ho Jon,
The letters and numbers are part of the drawing format itself. When the format is added to the template that all comes along.

      Mark,
Thanks for the reply. My question then is how are they added to the format? Is this done manually i.e. positioning text boxes or is there an automatic way of doin this?
      Thanks,
      Jon

    • @mganzer
      @mganzer 9 ปีที่แล้ว

It was done manually. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thanks. I am sure there is an ANSI or ASME requirement for the spacing and the number of zones?

    Hi mark !
If possible I would like some help to create drawing and parts templates so that both have adjusted parameters and also attributes that automatically fill the title block fields.
I would also like to learn to keep parameters with scaling styles (text colors and line styles) when these templates are used for modeling or drawing.
    thankful
    Paulo

    Hi Mark!
A small detail is missing so I can insert a symbol into a table as text.
When you doubleclick the table, it opens a dialog box "note properties" and you put the code of the symbol, but with the double clik in the table I can not open this dialog box.
    Any tips?
    Thanks

      Hi Paulo!
If it’s a table cell that has text in it (not part of a repeat region):
You can single click and select the redefine icon in the mini-menu.
Hold your Alt key down if you are not in the table tab in a drawing.
If you double click it brings you to the format ribbon. You can select symbols you want from that ribbon as well.
If the cell is part of a repeat region the symbols will not be able to be added as they will be grayed out.

I ended up discovering that with rmb the menu opens and I can put the code like you did in the tutorial.

Mark: How did you build your logo symbol? Several people in this thread were curious about this.

Hey, huge favor...dont take 10 minutes taking time patting yourself on the back showing how smart you feel for making a table. The fact that this program doesn't already have this built as a table in a template shows me how far Creo needs to come. So where do we find all of the measurements for the table? How is this not an empty template available in Creo?
