  • This Creo Parametric tutorial video shows you how to create a drawing template to automate and speed up the process of creating 2D production drawings for parts and assemblies. It covers such topics as:
Converting a drawing to a template
    Importing a format
    Defining template views
Making tables for Bills of Material (BOMs) that automatically extract component data

Do you know how to change the default font and add a suffix with a fractional format with 16 as the largest denominator? I really waste a lot of time changing this for every drawing.

Thank you for this video. It was really nice and reduce the working time. I need some help with export (PDF,STEP and DXF file).
My requirement is need generate PDF, step file and DXF file from existing model/drawing in windchill.
I heard from my friends circle. Already one of the options is there, it's called 3d export or 3rd export (not sure about the options name and not sure it's any third party application).
if using some export options, We can able get all the files(not only single files same time we can generate from multiple part numbers) from windchill without open the drawing/model.
Can you please guide me how to do that or any other ways are available?

You should be able to do all of that from Creo View without a third party application using Save As.

@@CADPLMGuy yeah, we can't able to multiple parts in one shot. That's why am asking any other options are available or not sir.

In the Piston Example 1 the template options are Solid Part Abs or Solid Part rel which one should I use. The instructional said Solid Part without the absolute or relative accuracy stipulation ?

I made this video before PTC changed the templates. In general, absolute is recommended.

Hello. At min 4.47, when you open your template, some windows appears in order to write some values. How can you do that? Thanks

Those are from parameters that appear in table cells in the format.

I don't believe so. But as a certified Configuration Manager, this seems like a really bad idea.

Why is the template directory in common folders empty or only go to the loadpoint? No template directory configuration setting yet?

I do have a format and template available from my Dropbox so I don't know what you're complaining about. But again, if the training content and materials I make available for FREE aren't good enough for you, please create your own channel and website for the community.
