Thank you for the config option reminder...I had completely forgotten that and was driving myself crazy when the images were missing each time I launched Creo!

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I know how to do it in Wildfire 4.0 when PTC didn't bury the controls. I was missing the eye-dropper so that I could modify the placement of the decal image. Thank you!

Do I need to place the images into creo's directory? My appearences dissapear after I quit and reopen

Sure. You just pick the multiple surfaces when applying the image initially.

Great video / exactly what i was looking to do - my question is, on importing a logo, the background color is great (green) but the foreground logo looks dull, like it's been muted. Any suggestions?

so I have a problem, when I place my textured appearance in regular view and shaded with reflection it looks great, but when I go to render studio it moves on me, the appearance is parameteric and wraps around the surface, any ideas?

Great video and explaination. I just showed a user here how to use it. Being able to edit the decal was the ticket. NOW if I can just fiqure out why it won't publish and show up in CreoView. I have the config file in place so I know that the texture is applied to the part file. Must be a setting in CreoView, messed with the Filters in CreoView and that's not it. Any ideal on what it might be?

There is a recipe file, export_pvs.rcp, that needs to be edited to add the following lines:
      adapter/useProETess=1
      adapter/useTransparency=1
      adapter/useTexture=1
      Adapter/modifyTexturePath=1
Find this file in the install folder for the specific version. For example,
      E:\ptc\Creo5_030\Creo 5.0.3.0\Common Files\text\prodview\export_pvs.rcp

The reason it tiled was because you had the radio button for "Multiple" selected.

Can you stretch the image across multiple surfaces?

A bit late, but to change the option, you go to FILE > OPTIONS > CONFIGURATION EDITOR
There click on FIND... and type in save_texture_in_model
It should come up and just make sure the value is set to "Yes"

Is there anyway not to have to image tile/repeat itself?

    • @mganzer
      @mganzer 10 ปีที่แล้ว

Other than scaling it large enough so it dos not repeat, no. The repetition and scale are directly tied together.
