Philip, Your knowledge always makes me comment on your videos! I'll say this again and i'm not tired of saying this but, i'm really blessed to have you as my tutor! God bless you :)
I had difficulty in understanding the data in DI question but watching this video not only helped me in solving them but also helped me finding shortcuts and tips and tricks to solve DI questions easily and quickly. You ain't human that is for sure. Thank you for your amazing videos
Wohoo.. you surely analyze the question very well to give us the tricks.. The denominator is after 'than' part...True genius..Thanks man!! Please keep creating more videos.
Thank you so much for your helpful tutorials! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your insight into the quantitive sections of the GRE! I have studied with a variety of materials and even taken a GRE class, but by FAR your videos have increased my knowledge base exponentially. The way you break down the questions and simplify them - take the frustration(s) out of the question(s) and make them doable! Again, thank you!!
Awesome! I have learned so many valuable tricks...so far. I have gone THROUGH most of these topics. My understanding on many of the topics solidified watching Your methods. Most effective revision and shortcuts they are for me. Really. I am so grateful to you for all those methods, the pep talks (!). That calm and composed way of dealing the problems exudes and induces confidence. You are a GREAT TEACHER, Philip.

I'd like to point out that the title of the graph gives you important clues about the relationship of the data, and you can derive the equation from there. For the graph on the left side at 15:13 notice it is [(Gasoline tax revenue)/(total retail sales)]=[70/100] for Germany (70 per cento.) Finding the value of gasoline tax revenue from graph on the left, we just have to plug in and substitute. Great video!

in the last question we need to multiply 35 with 0.7 and not divide. that results in 24.5 which is approx 20 billion which is the right answer and 50 billion.
Thank you!!! Your videos have been so helpful!!! It will be nice to see you show the work on the screen as you explain, it will be easier to follow!! Also, for data interpretation is one question connected to another question, like answering 1 question helps with another one or they are separate? Continue making this videos thank you!!!
Love your videos. Been going through them one by one. One question I had was why you do not just convert percentage greater and less than into an equation? For example, during the video one of the problems seems to convert to .204 = (1-x)*.286, by dividing these percentages, you can much quicker find .2867 as x than doing (A-B)/B x 100 formula. This formula seems slower than the method above. Is there a reason you prefer to use the (A-B/B formula? Does my method fail in some cases?
Hi Philip once again amazing video but I have a question on the percent change concept. In the denominator can we take the smallest value when we want to find percent increase and the largest value in the denominator when we want to find percent decrease.
read the question 2-3 times if u have time i am very good at other topics but i get most of these questions wrong i am confused what was asked , so i tip my self with reading question 2-3 times
how much time roughly should one spend on these type of questions? I find that its difficult to even understand sometimes what they are asking, consequently, i end up spending a lot of time reading and re reading the information. it helped a bit with the tip of recognizing the word "than " as the denominator....any other tips like that?, thanks
Hi In question 19 I took the 70.7 Gasolina tax revenue from the first table at first shot since the heading matched and later realised we have to look at table 2. How to avoid this?
Practice tests help with staying calm and steady for DI questions. I can understand your mistake but being slower and more methodical helps with checking the right chart. :)
I have a question, For the last question can we just do 100-70.7 = 29.3 then 29.3%*170 = 49.81 which we round off to 50 thus answer "E" pls correct me if i am wrong.
Hello Sir,I didn't get in the question 3 after removing the median why did you count 5 countries which are less in percentage and how was 67.6 your answer? Please revert sir, these videos are very helpful
The median of 9 objects is the fifth object. You can count 5th from highest to lowest or from lowest to highest, you get same result. If you do that for the percentages the 5th one is always 67.6%, Italy.
I think he meant to rearrange them to be from the smallest to the largest or the other way around like: 76.8%, 72.7%, 70.7%, 70.0%...24.1%. Then count the fifth one.
Sir I have one question no 19. Question in this question numerical values given in the percentage so we can find this value direct in the percentage like 28.6- 20.4=8.2 why we can multiply 100 ???
20.4% may seem to be 8.2% less than 28.6% but whenever they ask for percent more than/less than they mean the proportions, not just the numerical percentages. 20 is way more than 8% less than 28%.
im sorry this is a dumb question but what is: gasoline tax revenue as a percent total retail gasoline sales? i think a lot of my problems in solving these types of questions is having a hard time understanding what the chart is signifying..
