omg where have I been? this is reality tv heaven. Didnt know about this until I stumbled on it on the survivor wikia page. must bookmark to watch later.
A strong start, I can't wait to see how things progress. Fishbach gets a huge advantage if he can hold AUS, as 6 players games don't normally result in full continents being held long enough to gain the bonus. A battle of North Amer. is surprising, as i normally see feuds for SouthAmerica and Africa occur early on. Cochran seems to have a majority of Africa and looks to fight some minor battles to keep it. I can sort of tell that the players all seem to be playing a slow game, not too aggressive
Matt, Eric, and Ian! 3 of the smartest reality players in history!!! I'm a huge big brother fanatic!! Matt Hoffman, the brains and a member of mensa is a huge asset because of his brains!! Ian Terry, the winner of big brother 14, will take the risks when needed to!! and Eric stein, America's Player and, in my opinion, the best player in Big BROTHER 8, is definitely one of the greatest strategists EVER!! he can forsee What's going to happen and he is able to counteract tactics with some genius moves! he is also not afraid of risks! definitely a strong trio!! big Brother fans: imagine an all Stars season with these 3 as an alliance!!!
This is so exciting!! Best 10$ I have ever spent. Thanks Rob for this amazing idea. I am rooting for Stephen even if the woman in me says that I should be rooting for Sophie. They are both amazing players.
Good start, but we really need more shots of the board. I know who's (basically) on what continent, but very little on troop placement or anything else.
This bonus adds to the number of troops the player can add to places they own at the start of their turn. The bonuses work out so the bigger continents give more bonuses, as they are more difficult to keep. Attacking works by an attacker selecting between 1 to 3 troops of their own to attack 1 or if possible 2 of a defending country. For each troops involved in a battle, 1 die is given to the player to roll. The rolling occurs and the highest rolls are looked at.
there is a Risk-like Game of Thrones board game, it's much more complicated than Risk but arguably better. Everyone secretly gives orders to their troops, which are then revealed simultaneously. There's no dice involved which means more strategy and less luck in combat. Also it doesn't ever become a never ending arms buildup due to a limit on both army size and game turns.
The amount of troops starts at 4 and gradually increases to the next value after each card turn in. If a player owns a country of a card they turn in, they place two extra troops on that country. Knocking out a player earns you the cards that player had had. At the end of your turn, you can ferry any amount of troops you have except for one (as you can't have an empty country ever) to an adjacent space once. That about covers the basics.
"Reality Gamemasters" is a web show which consists of former reality stars playing RISK. I don't think their past results in other games has anything to do with what we are watching.
great work! i've never played before so this has just inspired me to purchase the game. man, it'd be great if there was a game of thrones version of it.
OK....... also, is there ANY way Stephen does NOT win? with an opening position like that? I've played RISK twice in my life, but still, it just seems unstoppable.
Defenders win ties. If an attacker, with 3 troops rolled 6 3 and 1 while the defender rolled 5 and a 3, each side loses 1 troop. Attackers made stop attacking whenever they choose. At the end of a turn when a player successfully captured a new country, they receive one card. These cards will have 1 of 3 symbols and one of any country name. At the beginning of your turn, you made exchange any three cards you own that all have the same or different symbol for extra troops.
After the drafting period, as shown in the video, Players use their stockpile of troops, the number of troops they have on a given country minus 1 (since attacking forces can't lose the place they occupy at the time, to attack adjacent countries of opponents. If attackers kill all neighboring forces from that country, they get it and add the troops that attacked it plus any others they want to it. Countries that form entire continents give the owner a bonus.
the last time I played Risk we abdicated australia to one player and it was an immediate bloodbath for the rest of us. I fear the same bleak fate may be on the horizon here for the rest of the players at the hands of Fishback The Conqueror.
Sophie definitely wasn't in control! The only reason she won was because she in an alliance with someone who was so hated in his previous season he had no chance (coach) and someone who was utterly incompetent (Albert) anyone with a mouth could've talked their way to 1 million in the F3! And Cochran was a fairly good player! How he won aside he took out threats and took useless ppl to end!
Haha reality game masters! Not really! Sophie rode Coachs coat tails, Ian did play Boogeyman and Frank like a fiddle but only because Britney and Dan were puppet masters! Stephen made it to the end but was blind if he thought he was gonna beat JT, Matt was in a great alliance! All he had to do was shut up and lay low until F5 but he didn't, Eric would've been had he not been America's player. Cochran is the only person I would consider having played their season strategically and ironically he

"Cochran is going to say 'I don't know what I'm doing.' "
Cochran: *I don't know what I'm doing*
btw, this amazingly film/edited, I kinda giggled when andrea came out as the 'at the scene' correspondent!
Fantastic! Great timing, right during the middle of the boring Survivor-Big Brother break. #TeamIan

This is amazing Rob! Should be a great series to give us some solid entertainment leading up to BB!
Thanks Rob! You've brought me loads of reality TV joy over the years! Would have liked to see you play!
watched these ep when they were first posted. way better than the current big brother.
will you show the board's initial layout with the players' positions before the game officially starts? great start btw!

That was fantastic! I only wish I could watch episode 2 right now!
The infamous "Saved By The Bellcast" really had me fervently against Eric Stein. However, this is hilarious.
I've never played Risk before but now I am genuinely intrigued by it
This is so exciting!! Best 10$ I have ever spent. Thanks Rob for this amazing idea. I am rooting for Stephen even if the woman in me says that I should be rooting for Sophie. They are both amazing players.
Love this so much! I rooted for almost all of these players on their original seasons but I think for this, I'm team FishyFishy :P
Very awesome, you should try to promote it more if possible.
I love all these guys!! Rob, I wish you were playing.
When will backers behind-the-scenes footage and blooper reel be released?
Excellent first episode, I just wish they were longer!
Good start, but we really need more shots of the board. I know who's (basically) on what continent, but very little on troop placement or anything else.
Love it so far! Team Fishy all the way!
Big fan of Cochrane. Surprised he's not a gamer. I'll be cheering for him, and he's also playing MY colour.
Great concept and fun to watch, but Risk just isn't the same without the Roman numeral pieces.
So are you and Dalton the Risk-Know-It-Alls? :-)
Watch out for Cochran & Fishbach, Final 2, calling it right now!
whoaa are they all crazy, giving fishback australia? This is such a big advantage I was expecting everybody to rush for it
This is incredible.
Sophie, good pick with Alberta!!! Province Pride. Have no clue how to play this game so learning + entertainment = REALITY GAMEMASTERS

thanks rob, look forward to the next
So much fun. Can't wait for more.
Amazing, I just wish it was longer :(

“I am America’s player, is there anywhere else to start?” *Places his piece in Mexico…*
Ok I'm in --- Subscribed
Is it up?
What are the players playing for? besides world domination.
Stephen's shirt is awesome

What is the winner's prize?
HAhaha I just saw Stephen's shirt, hilarious!
keep it going!

Also, lulz at you thinking Cochran is the best player out of the group when like half the cast of Caramoan were his friends IRL.
I think I could school them all. Thomas Wayne taught me all of his Risk strategies
Andrea's here, awesome!
Theses episodes are gonna each be short enough just to get me interested, then leave me hanging, aren't they? lol.......
Come on Eric! Redemption!
the last time I played Risk we abdicated australia to one player and it was an immediate bloodbath for the rest of us. I fear the same bleak fate may be on the horizon here for the rest of the players at the hands of Fishback The Conqueror.

matttt!!!
Stephen looks like he got great placement, sophie on the other hand...
Am I the only one who doesn't recognized Sophie?
I hate risk, but I cant help but watch with probably some of the wittiest people alive
Lulz at the guy who thinks Coach was a good player. Sophie was in control the entire time.
For noobs to risk, i posted the basics to the game under a comment ashitamohanan made.
Come on Fishy Fishy!
Wahoo!
Fishbauch for the win. You can't let someone just have Australia at the beginning.
GO ERIC!
That's what she said.
God dammit who leaked the spoilers to this??! Apparently Andrea bulldozed all competition
Sophie has a mustache
How did they let him get Australia! The Winner always starts with Australia! COME ON COCHRAN!
i hope one of sophieor matt win
sophie is fantastic : D
Andrea
i am America's Player so the obvious place to start is...... Mexico LMAO
Doesn't play risk
Andrea's so hot
Love Rob's podcasts but this is like watching paint dry. yeah I want to watch a board game. SMH

Stephen just won the game. I don't see a reason to continue playing.
I love iannn .
