The first time I heard them was on the radio December 2015 and heard their version of "Mary Did You Know" and my dad, who LOVES that song (my parents are religious....I'm not but they don't know that yet...) and he commented on how pretty it was. So, I searched it up online and found their MV for it. Then, after that MV ended I found "Evolution of Music" and watched that, then watched "Love Again" and was instantly HOOKED!!! Then, I asked my dad to play PTX on his Pandora app since I ride with him for small errands and my dad was like "What music is this...?!" and I said "Acapella" and the music began to grow on him and he admitted that PTX (as well as other acapella groups) were really talented. THEN, my mom who ALSO sometimes rides with us as a small trio type of thing noticed that he was using Pandora and my mom, who didn't know about PTX (though we DID watch both Pitch Perfect movies so at least she knew what acapella was) and thought that they were nice. Then, I bought their 4 albums and we began to play them in my mother's car and we became even BIGGER fans! My mom, who sometimes likes to work out in the family room, would have me put on their MVs to help her workout and make it more enjoyable and would always try to dance/sing to their music (quite horribly unfortunately) and then my dad began to recognize their BADASS talent! And BAM! INSTANT Pentaholics. We STILL listen to their CDs everyday, all day 24/7 (at least my mom does since I'm with her the most) and she knows every song. Then....came the concert which was 4/19/16. My mom was SOOOO excited and had BLAST! My dad said that it was entertaining and that he enjoyed it as well! ARGH!!!!! WHAT DID I DO TO THEM.....?!

I commented that before I even watched the video, so here is what I have to say. One: I had no idea you where PTX_taco I follow you on Twitter 😂 you are literally the luckiest person alive! So many encounters with PTX and I'm so jealous. I went to the show two days after yours and met them, and I forgot everything I was going to say. As you mentioned, I love you they all keep eye contact with you the entire time you talk. I'm so excited I get to see them again in November for my sweet 16! I drove to a different state to meet them on 4/16/16 and it was the best decision ever. This time I have Soundcheck meet and greet and GA and I'm so excited! It was so cool to see all the Internet friends you met up with, as that's my fave thing to do. A ton of people that I know on Instagram are going to the show that I am (15-20!) so we are all meeting up! Great video, and love the bit at the end with avi's tweet bc I would do that 😂

Oh my god! I was going to go to their concert on the Kelly Clarkson tour but it was cancelled, too!!! I had VIP tickets, I was so upset. I'm also went to the first show of the tour in April, but didn't have VIP. That's so awesome that you got to meet them!!

Your so lucky. I got to go see them at Jingle Jam in my state with Tori Kelley, we didnt have that good of seat and the only thing I remember is Aha and Evo. of Micheal Jackson. the entire time I thought I was going to pass out. I literally was death gripping the rail in front of me to keep from falling on my face. It was amazing and i dont know what I woukd do if I ever got to meet them (probably cry and pass out) but it was amazing. Im so glad you had such a great expirience!
Oh, I'm glad you got to see them at Jingle Jam! It looked like a really fun time. I bet it was cool to see Pentatonix and Tori Kelly perform on the same night. Even if you just remember those two songs, those are good ones. I was the same way. I had to focus more on not screaming then the actual songs, haha. If you get the chance, then go to the new tour. It's worth it.
I'm glad you got to meet them, they're the nicest people in the world and I don't know how they're real. My meeting Scott was very similar to yours. It was at the screening for the documentary and it was just him. Very random and very amazing. I also had tickets (sorry yours got canceled) to the LA show with Kelly Clarkson in August and was in the nosebleeds so it wasn't like I was gonna wave or get a smile. But I still had a great time. Come September and I see people are tweeting about Rozzi Crane having a showcase in Hollywood at a bar and that she's going to have a guest performer join her and her hint was "tall and blonde" uh duh we all know who that was. So I begged my boyfriend if we could go and he begrudgingly agreed and we parked by Hollywood High and walked up, we weren't sure where to go so we kind of just were carefully walking around just in case we were going to get in trouble. Go into the building and there's like 4 bars in the building so I asked a waitress and she tells me its upstairs. So I go upstairs and I am getting nervous like what's about to happen. I turned like a little after I got up there and am greeted by Mitch, Scott, their roommate Justin, and Mario Jose coming at me. I almost had a panic attack right then and there lol. I told my boyfriend that I needed to go say something to them so I swallowed whatever nerves I had and walked up to Scott. I said that I met him at the screening and he goes "oh my god I remember you" I nearly fainted and I smiled and he went to use the restroom so I turned to Mitch. Now I had tweeted Mitch before my show with Kelly saying thank you for being an inspiration in my weight loss journey and he liked it so I said I wanted to thank you for liking my tweet then. He smiles and goes "what'd the tweet say?" And I told him and he goes "I remember that tweet. I know its hard but you're doing great" or something along those lines. I hugged him before we started talking and I didn't believe he was real so I was like "I am gonna hug you again" and he laughed and I did. I said "I'm sorry I keep hugging you" and he told me it was fine. I then went up to Mario and we talked for a bit I got a pic with him, then with Justin. I had forgot my ID at home (45 minutes from where we were) so I couldn't go in as well as my boyfriend wasn't dressed properly for the bar so we had to go but I forgot to get pictures with Mitch and Scott before they went in so I ran into Jake and got one with him and asked if he could ask if they could come back out real quick(didn't happen but that's okay). So we left. Then PTX's main twitter tweeted in October about the video for Sing and everyone is like its here, gotta learn the chorus so I did and went with the boyfriend again as well as someone from twitter who needed a ride. Payment for being in the video was a shirt and from our little trio, I was the only one who got one. That day was amazing and I got a selfie with Kevin cause he's super nice and Kirstin was being dragged back to the van to leave. I called to her asking if we could take a quick picture and she being the sweet angel she is, ran back and we took one that is literally my favorite picture of all time. I am not in the video but there is a part where I am standing next to this guy I met at the shoot where we ducked behind Kirstin when she's taking a picture with this couple so I am kinda in it? Then in December they were doing their Christmas shows and I was dying to go. I was broke and just resigned myself to living through the videos and pictures I knew would come. The day of the show I was just messing around on twitter and saw Jake retweet this girl Allie about if you retweeted the tweet you could win tickets to the show at the Microsoft Theater, its across the street from the Staples Center where I had seen them in August. Myself and maybe 4 other people retweeted it and I was contacted maybe an hour later saying I had 2 hours till show that I needed to get ready. So I went again and we were in fairly good seats and I was looking around and my boyfriend goes "isn't that Scott's boyfriend?" (I've trained him well) And it was Alex so I went up to him as he was talking to mytoecold(drew) and I asked if I could get a picture, he said sure, we took it and he said something but I ran away lol. They later announced the dates for the World Tour and I was like oh man but my best friend in Florida told his grandma when she said that he could go that if I couldn't go he wouldn't be able to enjoy his show so she ended paying for my tickets as well as my VIP(same level as you). I died that day. Early in the day I saw Avi walking into the venue and I said Hi and that I'd see him later on. He was like okay.. lol We lined up and I was like maybe 19-20th in line and the photo op was so quick, I saw Kevin, looked at Mitch and Scott said he liked my hair. Then got back in line with my letters to Scomiche in hand as well as the poster and walked up to the table and Avi was first and I said I'm sorry I spazzed earlier and he goes "its fine I was just chilling" and i moved over to Kirstin and I was like you're so pretty and thank you for being so sweet to me at the video shoot and I guess she couldn't hear me cause she stood up and leaned over the table so she could and she remembered me as well. I moved over to Scott and gave him his letter thanking him for brightening my life daily with his smile and he just was gleaming and Mitch was listening to what I was saying and Scott just said "thank you babe" ((can I die?)) then I moved over to Mitch and I said "in the same vein Mitch, thank you for giving me my life back" giving him his letter. I started rambling about the Rozzi Crane showcase and the tweet and he's like "no babe I remember you" ((die twice)). Then I guess I was taking too long cause no one was in front of me anymore so I moved to Kevin and I said I admire his determination with his cello but I really admire his moving into singing and he's like "that's so sweet thank you" Alright so those are all my PTX meetings, sorry its so long. Hope you get to meet them again s**n :P I have tickets to the Anaheim show in October but no VIP this time but I have general admission so its gonna be good :)
That's so amazingly cool! I was a relatively new fan when the screening was happening, but I remember seeing everyone's pictures from it and really wishing I could have gone. That's a super cool experience and it much have been special for you! I had heard that the Kelly shows were pretty good, but PTX didn't have a very long setlist. That's why I'm a little glad to have missed it, if that makes any sense. Kelly is a spectacular performer though, so I'm sure it was a fun time. And seeing Rozzie and Scott must have been incredible! I live in the uk. I went to their uk Birmingham show on tgw the 25th of May. it was incredible. I was gonna get meet and greet but I turned away to ask my mum to get them, so when I came back to them they were sold out... nevertheless they were amazing and I can agree with the fact that they can make such a great sound with only their voices.
I really enjoyed your story. I also became fans of PTX right around the time you did, Christmas of '14. Then I was hooked. I was fortunate to see them at their show in Portland with K.C. but had the best time last month when they came back to Portland. I have never met them in person so you are very lucky you did. Your family is so supportive. While it would be a dream to meet them I can enjoy just being a fan and I love their music.

+Kelsified the rules basically don't allow you to have a camera out and on the whole time if it's super obvious. I just used voice memo on my IPhone and put it in my pocket. At the cd signing, I turned on my camera and put it around my neck and let it run. Both times were okay so I think that if you keep it simple you'll be fine.
+malicat00 from what I saw at the show, the VIP guests get into the GA before the regular line. We were already up to the barrier by the time the other people began filling into the stadium. There was only a handful of people by the barrier then, so as long as you get there early you should have a decent spot!
As far as I know, the VIP for the second American leg of tour is between $125 for souncheck, $225 for soundcheck + meet and greet, and $300 for soundcheck + meet and greet + private performance!

Even if you just remember those two songs, those are good ones. I was the same way. I had to focus more on not screaming then the actual songs, haha. If you get the chance, then go to the new tour. It's worth it.

My meeting Scott was very similar to yours. It was at the screening for the documentary and it was just him. Very random and very amazing. I also had tickets (sorry yours got canceled) to the LA show with Kelly Clarkson in August and was in the nosebleeds so it wasn't like I was gonna wave or get a smile. But I still had a great time. Come September and I see people are tweeting about Rozzi Crane having a showcase in Hollywood at a bar and that she's going to have a guest performer join her and her hint was "tall and blonde" uh duh we all know who that was. So I begged my boyfriend if we could go and he begrudgingly agreed and we parked by Hollywood High and walked up, we weren't sure where to go so we kind of just were carefully walking around just in case we were going to get in trouble. Go into the building and there's like 4 bars in the building so I asked a waitress and she tells me its upstairs. So I go upstairs and I am getting nervous like what's about to happen. I turned like a little after I got up there and am greeted by Mitch, Scott, their roommate Justin, and Mario Jose coming at me. I almost had a panic attack right then and there lol. I told my boyfriend that I needed to go say something to them so I swallowed whatever nerves I had and walked up to Scott. I said that I met him at the screening and he goes "oh my god I remember you" I nearly fainted and I smiled and he went to use the restroom so I turned to Mitch. Now I had tweeted Mitch before my show with Kelly saying thank you for being an inspiration in my weight loss journey and he liked it so I said I wanted to thank you for liking my tweet then. He smiles and goes "what'd the tweet say?" And I told him and he goes "I remember that tweet. I know its hard but you're doing great" or something along those lines. I hugged him before we started talking and I didn't believe he was real so I was like "I am gonna hug you again" and he laughed and I did. I said "I'm sorry I keep hugging you" and he told me it was fine. I then went up to Mario and we talked for a bit I got a pic with him, then with Justin. I had forgot my ID at home (45 minutes from where we were) so I couldn't go in as well as my boyfriend wasn't dressed properly for the bar so we had to go but I forgot to get pictures with Mitch and Scott before they went in so I ran into Jake and got one with him and asked if he could ask if they could come back out real quick(didn't happen but that's okay). So we left. Then PTX's main twitter tweeted in October about the video for Sing and everyone is like its here, gotta learn the chorus so I did and went with the boyfriend again as well as someone from twitter who needed a ride. Payment for being in the video was a shirt and from our little trio, I was the only one who got one. That day was amazing and I got a selfie with Kevin cause he's super nice and Kirstin was being dragged back to the van to leave. I called to her asking if we could take a quick picture and she being the sweet angel she is, ran back and we took one that is literally my favorite picture of all time. I am not in the video but there is a part where I am standing next to this guy I met at the shoot where we ducked behind Kirstin when she's taking a picture with this couple so I am kinda in it? Then in December they were doing their Christmas shows and I was dying to go. I was broke and just resigned myself to living through the videos and pictures I knew would come. The day of the show I was just messing around on twitter and saw Jake retweet this girl Allie about if you retweeted the tweet you could win tickets to the show at the Microsoft Theater, its across the street from the Staples Center where I had seen them in August. Myself and maybe 4 other people retweeted it and I was contacted maybe an hour later saying I had 2 hours till show that I needed to get ready. So I went again and we were in fairly good seats and I was looking around and my boyfriend goes "isn't that Scott's boyfriend?" (I've trained him well) And it was Alex so I went up to him as he was talking to mytoecold(drew) and I asked if I could get a picture, he said sure, we took it and he said something but I ran away lol. They later announced the dates for the World Tour and I was like oh man but my best friend in Florida told his grandma when she said that he could go that if I couldn't go he wouldn't be able to enjoy his show so she ended paying for my tickets as well as my VIP(same level as you). I died that day. Early in the day I saw Avi walking into the venue and I said Hi and that I'd see him later on. He was like okay.. lol We lined up and I was like maybe 19-20th in line and the photo op was so quick, I saw Kevin, looked at Mitch and Scott said he liked my hair. Then got back in line with my letters to Scomiche in hand as well as the poster and walked up to the table and Avi was first and I said I'm sorry I spazzed earlier and he goes "its fine I was just chilling" and i moved over to Kirstin and I was like you're so pretty and thank you for being so sweet to me at the video shoot and I guess she couldn't hear me cause she stood up and leaned over the table so she could and she remembered me as well. I moved over to Scott and gave him his letter thanking him for brightening my life daily with his smile and he just was gleaming and Mitch was listening to what I was saying and Scott just said "thank you babe" ((can I die?)) then I moved over to Mitch and I said "in the same vein Mitch, thank you for giving me my life back" giving him his letter. I started rambling about the Rozzi Crane showcase and the tweet and he's like "no babe I remember you" ((die twice)). Then I guess I was taking too long cause no one was in front of me anymore so I moved to Kevin and I said I admire his determination with his cello but I really admire his moving into singing and he's like "that's so sweet thank you"
Alright so those are all my PTX meetings, sorry its so long. Hope you get to meet them again s**n :P I have tickets to the Anaheim show in October but no VIP this time but I have general admission so its gonna be good :)
That's so amazingly cool! I was a relatively new fan when the screening was happening, but I remember seeing everyone's pictures from it and really wishing I could have gone. That's a super cool experience and it much have been special for you!
I had heard that the Kelly shows were pretty good, but PTX didn't have a very long setlist. That's why I'm a little glad to have missed it, if that makes any sense. Kelly is a spectacular performer though, so I'm sure it was a fun time.
And seeing Rozzie and Scott must have been incredible! Ahh, I'm a little jealous.

I live in the uk. I went to their uk Birmingham show on tgw the 25th of May. it was incredible. I was gonna get meet and greet but I turned away to ask my mum to get them, so when I came back to them they were sold out... nevertheless they were amazing and I can agree with the fact that they can make such a great sound with only their voices.
I really enjoyed your story. I also became fans of PTX right around the time you did, Christmas of '14. Then I was hooked. I was fortunate to see them at their show in Portland with K.C. but had the best time last month when they came back to Portland. I have never met them in person so you are very lucky you did. Your family is so supportive. While it would be a dream to meet them I can enjoy just being a fan and I love their music.

Can you explain the rules for the meet and greet? (I really want to record audio like you did but do they allow it?)
+Kelsified the rules basically don't allow you to have a camera out and on the whole time if it's super obvious. I just used voice memo on my IPhone and put it in my pocket. At the cd signing, I turned on my camera and put it around my neck and let it run. Both times were okay so I think that if you keep it simple you'll be fine.

+malicat00 from what I saw at the show, the VIP guests get into the GA before the regular line. We were already up to the barrier by the time the other people began filling into the stadium. There was only a handful of people by the barrier then, so as long as you get there early you should have a decent spot!

As far as I know, the VIP for the second American leg of tour is between $125 for souncheck, $225 for soundcheck + meet and greet, and $300 for soundcheck + meet and greet + private performance!
+Christian's Crazy Life I just got my VIP tickets for the SC and M&G. I was going to go for the one with the private performance, but they didn't offer it in my city for some reason (New Orleans). Maybe they sold out of them? about how many VIP people do they allow for each event do you think?

+Camiłl3 Dun the seats won't be upgraded with your VIP ticket. If you purchase GA seats, they will stay GA seats after you purchase the VIP. So, I recommend buying the seats you want first and then picking VIP.
