Great video Steve. Glad to see you back on the road making videos with the guys. We did the NC500 last month and had a great ride there. I look forward to seeing more of your trip.
Great to see you back Steve, I particularly like your planned stopovers! Any chance you could let me have a copy of your plans please? Nothing sinister, just an old man being lazy, I would really like to have a go at this tour myself but I don’t have a set of Co riders to share the research and planning load. Hi Henry after this episode I am giving the GPX files of every route we did while there my friend but if you mean the prompt sheets you can gladly have a copy of any you wish if you let me have your email fella.
I'm back Steve . Had a few health issues since last time but all good again now . Certainly been missing looking at your rides and hearing the voice say ,Hello happy people . My wife and I are looking at coming back to the UK early next year for a prolonged period and I might look at buying a bike over there although my wife is not into being a pillion anymore but my nephew is a keen motor cyclist and is already looking at days away with me . Sorry to say that my cousin in Hagworthingham is not too good as she went down with breast cancer but she is in fine spirits Keep riding safely and I'll keep you posted on what our plans are . I might need some advice on where to get a good bike from ( remember I will need to see before I return to Aus .) As always take care . Mal in Australia
Hi Mal great to hear from you and really pleased your doing good now. Sorry to hear about your cousin my friend give her my best. And yes keep in touch about any plans that develop as they do. Stay safe fella.
Nice to see you on the road again with great commentary as usual and very picturesque scenery. Could I ask Steve what your mic set up is as I’m looking for a system that works with my Shark Evoline and yours works so well. Looking forward to the next rides. Cheers
Hi Paul I have a Sena 20S com's kit fitted to helmet which has a boom Mic on it, all I do is clip the standard Drift Mic for my camera onto the stem of the boom Mic. Also find that the bigger sena Mic kinda protects smaller drift Mic from wind noise being clipped behind it. Hope that helps fella.

Just done a Scotland tour myself, a beautiful part of the world to be in even though we had some rain but one expects that in Scotland 👍😊 So you were obviously not bothered that in almost all of the west Highlands there is a Drone flight prohibitation due to it being a militry air manouver area ?? he he
Hi Steve, just came across your channel and liking your content, loving your Scotland tours, I have a 2006 R1200rt but it has the abs delete, can you tell me what the model of your shark helmet is? How do you find it, looking to upgrade and fancy trying an open face, cheers Paul (south of oban) 🏴
Hi Paul and thanks for watching the video's fella, the helmet is a shark evoline series 3 which is a bit old now and a few models have been released since but I love it and very rarely fold the chin guard back in place. Can be slightly noisy when open but hey it's an open face then. But definitely highly recommend them hope that helps.
Hi Steve it's been a long time coming great video... I love the way you edit it together with both views from the camera.. What drift is the camera you use to record the view of you talikng?.. Is this on constant record and you edit it in with front faced footage when you put it all together.. Sorry for long question but I love the way you film thanks Steve Rich from Hull
Hi Rich Drift ghost S is the helmet camera and the Drift Stealth 2 is the dash cam. I did a video about both of them ages ago here's the link to video 1 of 2 should answer a few questions my friend. th-cam.com/video/wUTd7fP-vGc/w-d-xo.html
Hi Steve Muzz and Dec, cracking scenery up there. I must say like a few others I prefer the Old Military rd but I don’t like using the same road for going and returning. I have a question for Muzz, I have the same bike as he, I wouldn’t have put it down as a touring bike, I find the vibration tingle at 70 for prolonged periods too much, how does he find the long-hauls?
Hi Anthony we don't like going and coming back on same road so saved home run for the best way back. And Mussy says he never gets any vibration on his bike, think different people feel different things. Ride Safe my friend.
I have been going to that caravan site since I was a child. Now in my 40s. I hope you visited the beach and took a dip in the Moray Firth. Did you use the van as a base?
Hi Al yes we did use the van as a base and at the end of the next episode we walked on the beach and I sent the drone up to get some great views from above, so keep an eye out for that one my friend. think you'll enjoy that.
Hi Waltham we are always out on bikes my friend and do what we call a brekkie run every weekend to different cafe's we know which usually rack up 100 plus miles.
Hi Derek We are just a group of mates riding places, if I took all the people who ask if they could join us the crew would be massive lol. Am still considering a meet up though at some point my friend.
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt thanks for the reply yes I will have to look as most of my friends only ride now and then and the rest don’t tour so it seems I’m on my own 😂
Hi Steve, great stuff as usual...i am thinking of getting a camera, primarily for safety and insurance purposes, just incase the unthinkable happens, but it's a minefield....i was wondering how you cope with the low battery life of most products, even the "better" ones...it seems to me that i may need a hard wired (for charging) one on the bike, for accidents sake...and maybe a helmet cam, for filming the ride, bends and scenery...battery powered....how do you manage, some of your videos are longer than typical battery life, plus there must be footage not uploaded...? thanks
Hi Steve don't go the GoPro route as they are the worst batteries going 45 mins max. I have drift cameras and get at least 3hrs for each battery of which I have 5 🤣. Mine is an old ghost S but my mates is one of the newer ones and gets at least 7hrson one charge, think it's the drift XL but would recommend Drift all day long. Hope that's helped fella.
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt thanks Steve... I nearly bought a Drift, last night, but another vlogger put me off saying narrow FOV makes speed seem slower??? Probably go with it now tho.. Cheers 👍
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt hi Steve, me again, just wondering which SD cards you use.(.. I bought a nearly new xl pro, used once, with box and all gubbins, except sd card...) Thanks...
@@stevehotshotsantini9777 I use genuine sandisk 32gb cards (got about 12 now) bit of advise buy them from Amazon so you know they are genuine. I once bought from eBay and ended up fake said 32gb and were actually 8gb and I missed loads of what I thought was recording but wasn't. Plus 32 is a nice size about 3hrs record time. Don't go massive i.e. 128gb 256gb as if the card corrupts you lose all the tour where as 32gb if corrupts you just lose a few hrs. Hope that helps.

Another cracking video Steve, looking forward to see the rest of the tour! If you get the weather and if you can avoid the dreaded midge, there is nowhere better than Scotland! I try and get there in May, avoid the midge and sometimes get ok weather.👍
Cheers Don your spot on mate about weather and midges but as you'll see in future episodes we were quite lucky 🙂
Glad to see you all back on the road, The wife loved seeing dec again ❤️lol.
Will let him know fella it'll make his day, pleased you enjoyed my friend.
Steve, looks like you had good weather. We were up there doing NC500 and Skye about a week after you and it was a tad cooler.
Thanks for posting your trip.
I'm in process of uploading mine and trying a bit of commentary.
Not used to that yet so it's a bit naff, but I like how you do your trips and interaction with mates.
May have to try that next time.
Thanks for the video.
Looking forward to the next days rides.

Great video Steve. Glad to see you back on the road making videos with the guys. We did the NC500 last month and had a great ride there. I look forward to seeing more of your trip.
Lots more to come my friend, pleased you enjoyed the first one cheers.
Great to see you back Steve, I particularly like your planned stopovers! Any chance you could let me have a copy of your plans please? Nothing sinister, just an old man being lazy, I would really like to have a go at this tour myself but I don’t have a set of Co riders to share the research and planning load.
If it’s possible, I am happy to provide an email address by private message on FB Messenger.
Ride safe as always Steve. Best regards Dave Cape from Scarborough.
🏍🏍👍👍
Sorry to say that my cousin in Hagworthingham is not too good as she went down with breast cancer but she is in fine spirits
Keep riding safely and I'll keep you posted on what our plans are .
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt cheers very useful info 👍
I came down southbound over fourth bridge on my new xr. I had alot of rain
Its just pot luck with the weather in Scotland as we all know Austin my friend.
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt i was neant to go the week befire but i had to baby sit my cats. Must say tbe xr is great in all weather and the rallypro 2 suit is shit hot
@@austinmatthews347 Happy days my friend.
Just done a Scotland tour myself, a beautiful part of the world to be in even though we had some rain but one expects that in Scotland 👍😊 So you were obviously not bothered that in almost all of the west Highlands there is a Drone flight prohibitation due to it being a militry air manouver area ?? he he
Think we were more east than west Gaz 👍
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt cheers for the quick reply, I will look at the other models, cheers safe riding
Hi Steve it's been a long time coming great video... I love the way you edit it together with both views from the camera.. What drift is the camera you use to record the view of you talikng?.. Is this on constant record and you edit it in with front faced footage when you put it all together.. Sorry for long question but I love the way you film thanks Steve
Rich from Hull
Hi Rich Drift ghost S is the helmet camera and the Drift Stealth 2 is the dash cam. I did a video about both of them ages ago here's the link to video 1 of 2 should answer a few questions my friend.

@@Steve-Clark-1200rt thanks Steve.. Watched it... Just need to brush up on the editing process which I struggle a bit with
Hi Steve Muzz and Dec, cracking scenery up there.
You should have went through Blairgowrie to get to Pitlochrie Steve , a much better road
Yeah have been through there William when we were based at Tummel Valley on a previous tour my friend.
Hi Steve, great video and stunning scenery. How did you prepare/build up to doing the mileages you cover on your motorcycle?
Hi Waltham we are always out on bikes my friend and do what we call a brekkie run every weekend to different cafe's we know which usually rack up 100 plus miles.
Um! I think you find you are on the Queens Ferry crossing not the Forth road bridge 🤔
Yeah apologies another viewer pointed that out to, ya live and learn thanks for that.
Hi Steve, are your tours just for your group or do you advertise a tour at all?
Hi Derek We are just a group of mates riding places, if I took all the people who ask if they could join us the crew would be massive lol. Am still considering a meet up though at some point my friend.
I have finally brought a touring bike I want to go for a ride with some lads it would be good
Plenty of facebook groups out there fella that are really friendly to new bikers my friend.
Cheers
👍
@@stevehotshotsantini9777 field of view is fine Steve, you won't regret a drift fella trust me 👍
@@Steve-Clark-1200rt hi Steve, me again, just wondering which SD cards you use.(.. I bought a nearly new xl pro, used once, with box and all gubbins, except sd card...)
Thanks...
Hope that helps.
ha ha if you told me you were on the forth bridge i'd say watch that effen train coming up behind you, the bridge you are on is the Queensferry bridge forth road bridge is to the right of you then its the forth bridge the rail bridge
