I love the flycam. I use my fx9 and fx3 on it but I can NEVER imagine using a camera with no autofocus on a flycam lol that’s a deal breaker for me no matter the image quality as a solo filmmaker. Love your content dude, keep going!!!

I'm from Russia and I've looked at a bunch of flycam redking reviews and you have no idea how difficult it was to order it in the current situation. But I did it, I'm happy, I'll practice
I use the nucleus nano for focusing and there's an attachment clamp that i got off amazon that I use to attach my zoom h1n to my boom pole. So I think that clamp could go on the redking and the nucleus nano handle can be screwed on to it which would allow one hand to hold the redking for stabilization while the other is off to the side focusing from the nano.
I am thinking of buying canon m50 cuz it has great af and I can get a speedbooster with it to get better low light performance and close to ff look ....any suggestions?
I have definitely looked at it! But I will say that I actually love manual focus with the RS2's focus wheel. You should check out my RS2 video to see what I mean, it is super effective and reliable! I actually trust myself more than autofocus in most cases.

@@powellfilmmaking It's a Panasonic G7. Yes, I want to add a cage but it's only 330 grams, not a big improvement, so I wanted to know what weight do you think is proper so that I can make my calculations.
@@effex3168 Here's an idea: amzn.to/3CiVc0E You could add a base plate like this one with extra 1/4-20 threads on it and figure out a way to mount extra flycam weights to it 🤷🏻♂️
@@samt8017 I wish! I am actually kinda underweight... 6'2" and only 135 pounds haha. But I have found that the more I use my gimbal the more the muscle groups it uses get used to it! My current rig weighs 11 pounds and I typically carry it for 8 hours on a wedding weekend, but I couldn't do that at first.
@@powellfilmmaking I filmed my first wedding this summer. I had 2 cameras one was on my steady cam. I used my M6 mark ii with my trusty sigma 18-35 1.8 a light and a Rode mic. My second camera was on a mono pod and was using a 50mm 1.8. For my wide shots, I was using a DJI pocket 2. This was tough. I was called a day before the wedding. It turned out good and the couple was really happy and recommended me for someone else next year. I have a lot of respect for those who are exclusive to weddings. It really is exhausting.
@@hjkhhjkh3635 I don't think you'd be able to do that while also holding the steadicam and controlling it. Both hands are very tied up when stabilizing.
@@hjkhhjkh3635 You could probably rig something up, but it really takes two hands just to stabilize it! This is a big reason I went to using a gimbal, and honestly it has been great. Not sure if it would be a good fit for you but the DJI RS2 and RSC2 are both awesome.
Sincerely I don't know why anyone doesn't use an autofocus Mirrorless camera as a solo shooter. You are just complicating your life, nowadays you have 10 bit raw in nearly every camera, from APSC 1500 camera.

Yeah manual focus made it a problem for sure! The RS2's built in focus wheel is a game changer for me.

These are a deep depth of field if you own an oldrr Lumix cam, wouldn't trust my S1H for autofocus. You dont always need shallow dof.

What camera is it? It would probably work best if you put a cage on it and/or found a way to add weight without making it awkward to use.

It's all kind of relative haha! I would say a lightweight setup would be about 6-7 pounds but that is just me.
