I was considering buying a oled for gaming but I feel like it's a lot of money that would benefit very little games in terms of hdr. Especially for console gaming. I've watched all your videos with gaming tech and it seems like a waste for maybe 1 or 2 games a year with proper hdr that I'd want to play.
On the PC you can play all the games with great HDR. On Console not all games but a lot of them have HDR, especially the big ones. It's totally worth it, plus OLEDs look much better than anything else even on SDR
I watched your video regularly, always wanted to ask, what's the deal with this Yellow/green windows theme? Is this a personnal preference, or are there other reasons for that (I imagined, maybe to preserve your TV)
He stated in another video that he liked the extra contrast
It's to protect my eyes from blue lights, it's a lot easier to the eyes, I could be working all day long with this high contrast theme without any eye strain.
This auto HDR doesn't work for me. When I slide SDR brightness down, it does get dark in game.
That's because you're not dragging the right executable to the Leodedge app. These games, for some reason, have the actual real executable inside some folders where the installation is, rather than in the root folder.
I went to local files from the steam settings. It takes you straight to the file where the exe is.
I see, that's weird, explore the folders to see if there's another one and make sure the AutoHDR box is checked
keep getting an error when the hdr analysis tool
The HDR analysis tool is hit and miss with AutoHDR, but the TRC fix doesn't give an error, and it works, so if you don't see black crushing when using it, then keep it
thanks for the video! do you know anyone who has the LG C3? I updated to the latest firmware 13.40.75 and now I am having stuttering issues when you use GSYNC, VRR, HDR and 120hz, terrible stutter that doesnt show on the frametime graph using rivatuner, im struggling here to find a fix :/ or at least make LG aware
I would try this: go to device manager and uninstall the GPU then download the latest Nvidia drivers and do a fresh install. If you want a shortcut maybe try the CRU app and hit reset and restart64.
Make sure to have Gsync for borderless as well as full screen checked in NVCP
So basically I don't think the problem is the TVs firmware. Otherwise, more people would have reported it
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 thank you! i also tried DDU for reinstalling the drivers, I think is the firmware because when I use 60hz I cant replicate the issue and it also happened to the CX years ago because of a firmware update
Weird, well let me know how it goes and if you find the fix
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 hi! they fixed it on the latest firmware 23.20.50, WebOS 24
The game look sick. Don't know why HDR is always a pain to work properly. I had several HD tv over the years and never once I had HDR work out of the box.
@@Kaynos you can use native UE HDR with the engine ini tweaks with this game btw
Could never get RTX HDR to work with this. Anyone know how?
RTX HDR doesn't need this fix, if the base SDR game looks good, RTX HDR will look great
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 The thing is for some reason RTX HDR doesn't work on this specific game on my system. I might have to use the mod you mentioned for auto hdr
will this work with special k hdr injection?
Special K can load Reshade like a plug-in but I haven't tried SpecialK for HDR too much
Hey Ariel, when will you do Iphone balance video???? Can you share it with me please if you have it? Man you promised me like 1 year ago, and always when I ask you tell me same stuff. Please man, been like 1 year.😞😕
They patched the Color Temperature Meter app to ensure that even if we delete the data like I showed, it still doesn't work after the trial period. I tried yesterday and can't get it to work
Hi, there is a problem with the game Remnant 2: this fix doesn't work with it. And sadly even more, ReShade crashes the game. Is there a different solution to force AutoHDR with this game? What should I try? (I'm playing it on PC game pass, and I'm using Windows 11 version 24H2)
In those cases, you can force Win11 AutoHDR with Leodedge app, if necessary, and fix it, if necessary, with Dylanraga's ICC profile
th-cam.com/video/EPUKW3xLTNM/w-d-xo.html
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Thanks man, Dylanraga solved the problem.
what about no reshde method? change that icc profile is much easier.
gamma correction profiles will still leave Auto HDR looking more washed out than it should. They're only accurate for pure SDR content.
this method literally changes the gamma, where profiles do not.
Keep doing that then, they're both trying to accomplish the same thing
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 okay thx!
Does Reshade works well with online Dark Souls? I'm gonna try that fix tonight!
It should, download the Reshade without Add-ons support (not necessary for this TRC fix)
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Okay thank!
gr8 video as always bro i just bought 65 used c1 for dirt cheap price and i want to get the most out of bfi on pc i have 4080super i tried it and the motion clarity is insane on diablo iv but i dont know what frame i should lock my fps i was thinking 156 and use lossless scaling to get to 312 frames
FPS=Hz for OLED Motion Pro high, 60fps/Hz, 100fps/Hz, 120fps/Hz.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 thanx for clarifying it. What’s the difference in using bfi in game mode and in standard mode?
Imput lag is better in Game Optimizer mode
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 have you tried lossless with bfi? To boost the frame to get more clarity
Yes, it's great
Should i use autoHDR or native HDR?
Native, MajorPainTheCactus, RTX HDR, Win11 AutoHDR, SDR HDR trick. In that order
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 thanks 🙏
You can forget ALL your HDR troubles, by using Linux now, lol!
Any Linux with wayland and, i think KDE 6.2 or higher, now has an HDR toggle, which works literally perfectly, and universally across all games and desktop apps... Though some games still refuse to display in HDR-mode, but SDR content looks flawless in Linux HDR, nothing is washed out, colors are good, literally flawless. xD
Thanks for sharing, I've been hearing about it. But can you play all AAA games on Linux?
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 TH-cam is censoring me... -.-'
There's a w****te called ProtonDB where you can check if a game will run on Linux via valve's Proton compatibility layer, AND how well it will perform based on its rating... Gold usually means the game runs fine outta the box, but could run better with a couple of launch commands, Platinum basically means it runs as if it was native on Linux, without actually being native on Linux.
God of War and Thymesia have Gold, and Platinum rating, respectively... They should run fine.
I can't speak for all triple-A's, but you can easily look up this info for yourself via that w****te.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I keep getting censored, lol.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 There's a place you can check if a game in question works on linux or not.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 the game featured in this video has a platinum rating there., which means it works flawlessly out of the box, i believe.
Hey I’ve seen you guys are doing a new stream tomorrow, what about me? 🥺
I'm not sure, Gaming Tech is coordinating the livestreams with other creators, we might have FOMO invited too, but it might not be confirmed
We'll stream together one of these days. I've been busy. I have a lot of videos waiting
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 we can do a side stream just you and me, that would be easier 😁👍
Can I use it on my laptop that does not support HDR?
If your screen does not support HDR it can't show you HDR. So no.
You can use the SDR analysis tool to fix games like Black Myth Wukong which has black level raised on SDR
Hello Ariel, man sorry to bother you, did you make iphone white balance settings? Because every time I ask you just ignore me
I answered your previous comment requesting this and told you that the problem is I can't use the app anymore unless I pay for it (which I'm not doing). It seems like they patched the workaround I shared. I've answered more comments from you than any other. To say I ignored you is unfair, to say the least.
You should try to do the calibration yourself to get the best results. The difference from panel to panel will make copying these settings pointless. It's way to subtle
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 By ignoring I meant that every I ask about these settings. But besides that ofc I know man that you always answer to my questions and I am really grateful for that man. So how will you now calibrate your current 2p calibration settings that you are using right like green -4 andblue -11
I can't calibrate without the app without having a reference monitor side by side. We need something to compare
I have many videos waiting, even sponsor videos that I haven't done and would pay me good money. Also the 3d glasses which I haven't even connected. I'm busy
Do you need to use the ICC profile in your previous videos?
No, all these methods are trying to accomplish the same thing
Is auto hdr even worth using? I thought with all the other options we now have you wouldnt ever use it anymore. At least as long as it is not on a better level.
All of the different inverse tonemapping options are very similar, this doesn't have the performance issues of RTX hdr and fixes the one major gripe with Windows AutoHDR
@@AnimeUniverseDE What's the major gripe? He just showed how to force it and then was rambling a lot again, I've probably tuned out and missed it.
@@AnimeUniverseDE The major gripe is just that it doesnt work on every game or the gamma problem? Pretty sure the order is something like Native HDR(good implementation)>Liliums HDR>Rtx HDR>Windows Auto HDR
@@vSoulreaver the gamma fix, you just turn on the sdr trc shader there
@@rejectxz yea I agree with your order, but Windows AutoHDR does work with every game if you force it, and you can fix the gamma by using Lilium's sdr trc shader
Doesnt work for games with anti cheat
For those use force AutoHDR and use the Dylanraga ICC profile
Is it better than RTX HDR?
Yes, because it fixes the only issue Windows AutoHDR had and it doesn't have the performance problems of RTX HDR
RTX HDR looks better and has better settings to Tweak and the performance hit goes away when using Low quality with the Tweaks mod I shared
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 RTX HDR has awful default settings, targets like gamma 2.4 and oversaturates everything to hell
It actually targets 2.2, you can see it on the Tweaks I shared, which has the color saturation dialed down vs default
Me on win 10 watching this😔
For Win10 use MajorPainTheCactus Add-on with Lilium's inverse tone mapping

I'm going to sleep so you'll be the only reply until tomorrow
Anyone know why the Auto HDR intensity slider is greyed out? I have HDR on all the time but Auto HDR doesn't work
That's a bug, and that slider lowers (below 100) the peak brightness you selected on the HDR calibration app. It's not necessary to adjust it and it better stays at 100%.
For Windows 11 Auto HDR to always work, you can force it with Leodedge app like I showed here
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I think I've written it wrong. On Game Bar the Intensity Button is greyed out. I can not click on it
@@andym.8610 you can only drag the slider while ingame when auto hdr is working at exactly that moment and you should put it at 100 anyway.
@@vSoulreaver the problem is the slider doesn't appear and the "change HDR intensity" idk how it's called in English is greyed out on all games
