Blew the whole budget on a mediocre movie. The cgi is gorgeous but the chemistry is cheap, then all being separated is baloney, and I know it’s taking after comics but marvel has strayed away from comics before, why not do it again? Mediocre movie, good cgi.
Probably why the movies after 2021 had doodoo cgi

I understand I’m one of the few who loved eternals. But I don’t think it’s just the celestials. The CGI in general carried this movie. From the celestials to makari’s speed to the Domo, hell even the deviants looked amazing
I enjoyed the movie. Rewatched it a few times since it was released
Yeah they look amazing, but I hate how they (sorta) ruined them in the movies. The main villain deviant is so forgettable in the movie when he plays an important part of the book. I doubt he or any of the deviants are anyone's favourite marvel villains, but I still wish they were more faithful.
@@PauTheDeo yeah I won’t be bullheaded and I will admit the story of eternal is probably mid at best. It wasn’t terrible I mean we had some good parts like the struggle of Icarus was done well and Circe kinda coming into her own as the leader was done pretty good but everyone else was kinda left to the way side and I wished we got more and deeper info to the flashbacks

@@GalaxyDWolf The story was far from mid. It was quite good. It just wasn't long enough. People always say the film is too long and drags, but I actually find the pacing quite good and think it would've benefited greatly from another 20-30 minutes. A film like this needs to be longest MCU film. If they do a sequel it benefits from losing four of the characters and the rest now having been introduced and set up slightly, but the first film should have been longer. And most of that extra could be exclusively dedicated to flashbacks, because that's what it needed most.
The Deviants were likewise underdeveloped, but I don't think the story itself suffered at all. The lacking character development definitely affects the story, but the story is still great. And of course, the fresh tone definitely helps.
Marvel really dropped these GODS in the MCU and just left them to collect dust for 2-3 years💀
They were in Love & Thunder so technically it was 1-2 lol

That’s not how it works, all of these projects are released in one slate each, the only time sequels are greenlit is if the movie succeeds, eternals both succeeded and flopped, so they didn’t leave them to collect dust they created slates ahead of time there’s still time to slot in a sequel
Fun fact: the voice actor David Kaye who voiced Ashism the Red Celestial, also provided the voice for Megatron in Beast Wars and Optimus Prime in Transformers Animated.
He also voiced clank From the titular game series with Ratchet.
Arishem was David Kaye? Wow.
Also, I forgot to mention he did voice acting for Charles Xavier in X-Men Evolution.

He was one of the most the interesting characters in CBM as a whole. No other character in MCU was like him. A soldier/patriot who fought for his mission for thousands of years only to realize he committed genocide of trillions in his masters' name and refusing to to believe he's the bad guy all along. Icarus is the story of every soldier who ever lived 🥲
He isn't evil or broken. He's just doing his job as an Eternal.

I will always stand by Eternals being a good movie!! They did a great job with a huge cast
Finally, someone loving this movie the same way and for the same reason I do. Angelina Jolie's Thena and Jemma Chan's Sersi were my favorite.
Makkari and Phastos vs Icarus was the best part of the movie

Arishem's voice made it even better, a lot of people hated Eternals but I personally loved it so much. The visuals were also one of the best in the MCU, I just hope they don't scrap the sequel.
Getting cosmic characters like that is great. That is why Unicron, while still in a planet form, was levels above 2000s FF Galactus. Plus the Celestial in Eternals were even higher. Hope Galactus gets more in FF
The portrayal of Makari's speed was phenomenal and something much needed.

My friends and I agree that Eternals simply collapsed under the weight of its own ambition and grandiosity. It should've been a 9+ episode show.
The celestials are the best. I love there designs, each of them has a unique look to them that is amazing plus the voice acting damn good shit
This is why I loved Eternals. It was epic and somewhat rewatchable. The Celestials are so gas.

And they proceeded to completely ignore and do nothing with them. How has no one in the MCU talked about the gigantic space dude in the sky and the one that started to pop up in the ocean. But yeah, the celestials looked dope. The sense of scale was executed perfectly. Especially the perspective of people seeing Arishem from earth
I loved the Celestials in the Eternals film; they made the movie way more interesting and fun to watch. I can’t wait to see more of them in the MCU!

Anyone remember Inuyasha? The red one is voiced by David Kaye, who did the voice of Lord Sesshomaru. I was shocked to see his name during the end credits.
Honestly I really want an Eternals 2. They could redeem that first film whilst not going backwards. Reincarnation is a huge thing with those characters and so the chance to bring them all back and the added drama of what happened in the first film but them all pushing forward to be the heroes they are in the comics too whilst also dealing with the celestial problem would be awesome.
Now I just want Arishem to have a long drawn out “Yeeeeeeeeees”
I think I'm one of the very few people who actually like this movie. It has a very interesting concept and characters and it also has Don Lee. The characters needed more fleshing out. This would've been amazing as a series.

Arishem's final scene in the movie was genuinely scary. I really want to see him, or other Celestials again!
I love it as well, do you have a clue about what his final words were, and I quote "You have chosen to sacrifice a Celestial for the people of this planet, I will spare them, but your memories will show if they are worthy to live, and I will return for judgement." I have no idea what they meant, but I think they may be pointing towards the future of the Eternals.

I’m not gonna lie, every time I hear Ashirems (the Prime Celestial) voice, I feel as though my entire body shakes and rumbles. Despite Eternals not being the best mcu film, they really did knock it out of the park park when making Ashirem seem godly and otherworldly.

What's great about the MCU is how they sneak in these huge Celestials without much attention. One is literally stuck in the ocean! 😂
Makkari is the best part of the film and the celestials are no better than Kang, no matter what Jonathan Majors was but his acting was insane
The only bad thing about the celestials is that one of them has their hand and head sticking out of the ocean and it has not and probably will never matter

I liked the eternals BUT this movie should've been a GENESIS movie about the rich marvel universe and everything in it but instead it was just a dumb down version of these powerful characters.

Edit: The Celestials would be a bigger bad than Kang. Yes, there’s infinite versions of this time-hopping, multiversal conqueror, but he’s limited only by his tech. Without it, he’s powerless. But with the Celestials, they’re basically a mix of Unicron and Primus from Transformers

The CGI carried this film too, the story was meh(Should've been a TV series) but the action scenes and CGI including the Celestials were good though.
Don't worry about the celestial,s they are coming back when the x Men comes becues there's this event called judgment day and it's has the avengers x Men eternal,s and the Dead celestial is the avengers base

I’ll just come out and say it: if the MCU version of Galactus is a Celestial, I’d be more than okay with it (he could be called Galactus the Devourer). I mean, the MCU made Ego a Celestial in Guardians Vol. 2 and made it work, so anything’s possible

Nah best part of this movie was when the credits rolled I literally got out of the theater and asked myself to remember one thing about the movie I’m still struggling
Since Thanos is a Eternal, do you think he knew about the Celestials, thats why he wiped 50% in the universe
I mean, yeah, but that's because of two reasons.
1. They didn't need much character growth or development, unlike the Eternals (though I still cried for Gilgamesh, so they did enough with what little we got).
2. It added HEAVILY to the mythology of the MCU.
The Egyptian Gods and mythology was also great in Moon Knight. And had Love And Thunder balanced the comedy and drama better, the exploration of the Gods in that, and their overly pompous and careless attitudes would have been equally great.
But the scale and look of the Eternals really made them that much more effective. Though they gave Arishem and Khonshu that same booming voice effect.
Think it would have work better as a series but I still like it
