Cool. I found this when I was looking for my great grandfather George Shilton who was a reverend in Saltcoats around 1927-32. Makes me want to visit this place even more.
The mediaeval Ardrossan Parish Church was in Ardrossan. It was destroyed during the storm mentioned in the video. The site of the NA museum is in Ardrossan Parish Church located in Saltcoats, as was the previous post-Reformation building, which the current structure replaced. The two historic parishes in the area were Ardrossan and Stevenston. Saltcoats wasn't erected as a parish till the nineteenth century.
