Congratulations! 🥳🎉I’m so glad that you don’t let being an introvert hold you back from creating videos. As a fellow introvert, if I was a BookTuber, after each video I would have to lie down in a darkened room with a cold compress.🛌
Thanks, MJ! Believe me, I often feel like doing that, not so much after filming as after posting. That, and hiding my phone because as much as I love getting comments I'm always nervous about them.
Winging it and trying to keep up is how it still feels to me after four years making videos. I am very glad you decided to start a channel. And you said you wouldn't really review Singapore Grip but that was a perfect summary of the joys of the book.
Happy Anniversary! Cheers to imprecision and introvert mysteries! I am a major introvert but I don't find BookTube draining like a social occasion. It's just different. I read The Rachel Incident for the BookTube Prize so my review is on hold. Here's to another great year on BookTube!
"Hi, I think I'll put myself on the internet" 😂 I relate so much to your chats about introversion and BookTube so much. That was a quick year! Huge congratulations to you on your milestone, Priscilla 😊
I used to tell my elementary school students that turning pages down on a book was like punching someone smaller than you-hurting a defenseless thing. LOL. Happy Anniversary, Priscilla!
Congrats on a year of sharing your charming self and great content as you share about the books you read. I love your "winging it", your laugh and everything you bring to your video's. For me... it is like sitting around talking with a friend. Not many in my life that want to talk about books. I have about 3 or 4 people at work that I routinely share books with and then "check in" for a book review LOL. I might be driving them crazy tbh. . My daughter always quips... "did you ever notice Mom how you conveniently find some way to turn every conversation into the current book you are reading?" 😝Haha
Thanks so much, Marcia! That's exactly how I want it to be: like sitting and talking with a friend. And as someone who is always shoving books into people's hands whenever I get the chance, I know what you mean about thinking you might be driving them crazy. Ha!
Thanks, Sonya! I'm so happy booktube extended our online connection. And I hear you about the time change--the light is changing so fast here, and when we turn the clocks in a few weeks it's going to completely mess me up!
Really enjoyed "chatting" with you. I don't remember, but I may have been the one who recommended The Violin Conspiracy to you. I do know that it is one of the best books that I read in 2023. Another possibility for March Mysteries is the China Bayles series by Susan Wittig Albert; the series is set in eastern Texas. Happy Anniversary, Kay
I'm pretty sure it was you! Or maybe I saw your Goodreads review? Either way, I'm happy to be reading it now. Thanks for the rec for the China Bayles series--that's one I've heard about but always forget!
Hi Priscilla! Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I have really enjoyed following your channel. I jive with your book selections and enjoy your commentary! 🌸📚🇨🇦
I skipped the little part on _Singapore Grip_ because afraid of spoilers but I’m glad you liked it. Congratulations on a year! I was going to tease whenever I want a chaotic mess I just come here but actually everything is just as I would like it. Well done!
Has it already even a year?!?!😮 Happy Anniversary 🎉❤ I’m so thrilled you chose to begin! I fly by the seat of my pants 👖 a lot! I love your random, fun, waffley chats!
Congrats on your year anniversary! I wonder if I read If On A Winters Night for the first time now if I would t have enjoyed it as much as when I read it in my youth.
Congratulations on one year on BookTube, Priscilla. Even though you’re from the US, I feel you’re also a fellow Dutch BookTuber, living in Amsterdam, right?!? I loved Lonesome Dove so much that I really want to read Terms of Endearment. So far I only know the movie, which was indeed wonderful.
Thank you so much, Leo! I love the idea of being an official Dutch BookTuber! I hope you'll get around to reading Terms of Endearment. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Happy Anniversary! Congratulations! One year is such an accomplishment. I’ve just reached one month, so I’m very impressed with what you’ve done. And you don’t sound at all like you’re winging it. You have a wonderful, warm presence. Congratulations again!
Happy Anniversary, Priscilla! 🥳 I'd say you've had a very successful first year on BookTube.
Thanks, Hannah! I really cannot complain, but it's always tough to please that inner perfectionist.

@@EveningReaderThere should be a BookTubers' support group to talk over those kind of issues.😀 I would feel the same way, I'm sure.

Ah, I feel less alone now! I so enjoyed the read along with you and Sarah. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks! No, it's not draining like a social occasion...draining in its own special way. 😂

Thanks, Aisling! Ha, we got the idea around the same time, I think. Great (introverted) minds!

Thank you! Ha! That's funny about the kids. It makes me think you could spot the bullies by watching how they treated books!
I enjoy you & your honesty so much. I’m an avid reader and love having people like you in my life 😊

It’s been a great first year on your channel. So glad you are here. The time change this weekend has thrown me off.
I’m in the introvert category!
@@anenthusiasticreader Good company! 🙂

Congrats on your year anniversary! I wonder if I read If On A Winters Night for the first time now if I would t have enjoyed it as much as when I read it in my youth.
Thank you, Brian. It seems to me it would hold up if you loved it the first time.

Oh man to I feel your pain with the work life overtaking the reading life. It is a real bummer!
Totally nuts lately!
Happy Anniversary
