I love this record. Was totally missed by everyone at the time. Admittedly, I only got on it posthumously but there is very little record of this band even existing.
You're very welcome. :) the Nice comments on this post further show me how glad I am for posting this song for others to enjoy. I loved it when I 1st heard it in the film and still love it now 20 years later. I only have one wish . . . That u all play it LOUD :)
Playing it loud...It's a requirement. I saw the movie when I was 6-7 and fell in love with it and the soundtrack. My father just asked "Why???". Lol. Thank you for uploading
X2wolverine The movie version of "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" begins with an original guitar solo by Steve Vai and then transitions into about when the vocals start in the original song. Rerecorded but adequately similar versions of this solo and Vai's other contributions to the film (which include the background music from the birthday party scene and the various air guitar licks) can be found on his album The Elusive Light And Sound Vol. 1, which is on amazon mp3 for fairly cheap.
yeah! everytime i run out of new stuff to listen to i keep telling myself "it could be any moment, my big song could be right around the corner" and it always is, sooner of later
I don't have tabs for you dude, since I learned this by ear, but totally relate to the feeling of this riff leaving it's mark. I remembered it from 20 years ago, and the exact scene it's in, with dead Bill and Ted walking away from the dusty car. Anyway, if I'll go back to playing my guitar more often, maybe I'll upload a tutorial. Be excellent and party on dude!
@X2wolverine I know, totally agree. I love "drinking again" but this track rocks. Took me years to find this. Then one day I tried my luck for it again and found the album its from. Plus there are still whispers in the air of a bill and ted 3. Dunno if i'd like it after all this time but worth seeing if they do!
Just read back through the comments, I'm surprised how difficult it is to find these guys on the internet! Also surprised how many other bands are called Neverland (including a Michael Jackson tribute act who have been asked to change the name by his estate). Anyway, I had a bit of a look and managed to find this page: discogs [dot] com [slash] artist [slash] Neverland+(4) (TH-cam won't let me post a link!) Also, it looks like they were signed to Interscope. Hope that's of some use to you!
@surfertim damn, dude. you rock more than i thought. i'm actually looking forward to B&T3, as long as they don't fuck it it up, with like, 3D and stuff. hey, better than the reboot they were talking about, right?
Stoked to hear that Bill & Ted 3 is still going ahead. Grew up with both films as most people, lost my bogus wingman to cancer but still rocking. Considering the third instalment and this public advert for it a ticket to the opening would be nice ;)
Back then during my hi school days i can still recall this kind of music its way too long ago during the 90s glam rock sensation at its best👍💖😄🎸
We used to be pussweeds, but now we're metal! So get over here and put out!

Not only do I love the song, but I love how you put this video together - even though it's simple. BILL AND TED FOREVER.

@TMNTG
I searched for years too, so when I found it I couldn't not share. Enjoy and play it LOUD.
Class tune with a killer riff, always stuck out in the film for me when I was a kid, anyone have a guitar tab for this?

Bu muzik daha youtubude bile yokken bi hafa aradim cocuklugumda internette bi haftada bulmustum keske ilk ben atsaydim amüniyim
Senin gibi mal orospu cocu zaten 1 hafta birşeyi arar . 10 dakikalık şeyi..
................. Rainbow - Stargazer
That's also the point of the song though.
Or the president is a duck... Whatever you'll go see it!
