    I always recommend all my students to practice passive listening when learning Arabic. When you're going about your daily life, listen to the Arabic radio. It's so easy to do.
    You can download the TuneIn app on your mobile phone and choose any radio station from the middle east. I would suggest BBC Arabic for non stop talking. It's usually pretty clear.

    Are most of these podcasts in MSA or like egyptian dialect?

    • @MikeStillUK
      @MikeStillUK  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's a good podcast as recommended by Masaka - called 'Sciware'. It's presented by a guy called Mohamed Qasem and he presents in fusha so perfect for practicing your MSA.

    It has crossed my mind the other day, but I wonder if they use MSA to communicate. If they use dialects, it would be a little thwarting to write a sentence with four dialects in it. I cannot tell the difference yet, what you think? Is it MSA?

      You mean in podcasts or just in general?

    whats the difference between active and passive listening ?

    • @MikeStillUK
      @MikeStillUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      So active listening would be focussed study concentrating 100% on what you’re hearing. Passive listening could mean you have Arabic radio on in the background whilst doing some other tasks.
