    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've watched dozens of videos on how to install that filament guide and either it would be too zoomed out or not explained enough where it goes. Even the companies video is too quick and not detailed enough at least for me to see how it's accurately installed. I gave up and was doing it without the filament guide till I came across your video. Now it's installed and you've gained a subscriber again THANK YOU!!

    This looks very like the original creality cr-10 with a few improvements. A reasonable price and those looked like good initial results.

    • @CasualDIY

      I think so too. Especially when you consider that I'm just using the basic "recommended" settings which are never perfect. So there is plenty of room to improve and tinker about.

      That was my first impression also. Is the Longer compatible with CR-10 parts?

    I've never thought of purchasing a 3D printer, but I can see how valuable they could be in prototyping designs as well as actual production of parts (I noticed part of their machine is 3D printed) ... a nice large print area and quite a good price as well ... hmmm, could be tempted. Thanks for the video Tomasz 👍

    Can you give me measurements of how high your limit switches please? I’m having a hard time with correctly because of this limit switch.

    • @CasualDIY

      From ground to bottom of the limit switch I got 10.3cm. But just need to be careful not to damage you bed or nozzle when setting this up.

    Appreciate that the title of the video was detailed assembly, levelling and test prints, but it would have been useful at the outset of the video to explain the specs of the printer and what it costs. The link to the product on the Longer website gives the prices in US$ even when selecting EU region, and there’s a warning that UK residents (of which I am one) will have to pay import duties. So I’m still not really sure what it would cost and how it compares to say the Ender 3. It looks to be good spec, very decent bed size. The way of feeding filament in seemed very fiddly though and I do wonder about their quality control when there’s a spelling mistake on the printer screen (see 17:13)!
    I’ve only got experience of the Easythreed X1 I was given for Christmas, but I certainly love the world of 3D printing. Been able to print rail stops, zero insert plate for the bandsaw, flappy paddle bandsaw power kill switch, an LR32 jig and I’ve a long list of other things I want to print. The larger bed of this printer would definitely have helped with a couple of models that I had to cut in half to print.
    BTW the marks on the hull of the boat, that looks like a slicer issue, you can change the corner seam to be random positions or the corners of the boat which stops such lines appearing on curved surfaces.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well if it was a machine at let's say $800 we can nit pick at spelling mistakes. There will always be some compromises when it comes to budget tools. Got a video out this Friday with some more prints, workshop related and useful. With the price I would just email Longer or checked UK Amazon. I'm pretty sure it will be there in a Amazon warehouse. I got the Ender as well. And I have to say the print capacity is a lit bigger on the Longer plus it's dead quite. Both print well for me with no issues. Although I have changed the extruder and put a glass bed on the Ender. Somehow the glass bed on the Longer is better. When it cools down the prints just come off with no force. Whereas with the Ender original glass bed is not always the case. I'm just using the box settings as I want to show what people can expect with not messing around in the software

      @geoffreycoan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CasualDIY Amazon UK have three different listings on at £429-£465. All are US imports and the price includes a deposit for the import fees. Similar to the Ender 3 but with a bigger bed 👍

    I was hoping the LK5 was going to be a massive upgrade from the Ender3, but it was nothing but a massive disappointment. I was able to print 2 items and nothing has been able to print since. I have never seen something clog up more than a toilet at a all you can eat like the LK5 Pro. Huge waste of money.
