imagine if you could use teleports to check out other players planets or even a multiplayer scenario where if you opt in as long as the owner is online you can fight them or try to kidnap duplicates or do other crazy things.
That's why i love the rime and arboria asteroids. Especially the arboria is so cool, cause it is in fact cool in temperature but also has oxyferns, my absolute favorite plant from design and gameplay. And arboria also lacks swamp biomes, which i absolutely hate. Slimelung is disgusting to have, i tell you from my own personel experience, the coughing and sick feeling is shit. Oh wait, that was corona, but you get what i mean.
Digging out your starting zone destroys what is otherwise a massive heat sink. You should be digging out hot areas and walling them off ASAP. Those steam geysers that usually spawn near the start are death if you leave them too long. Don't use coal in your main base. Use it for remote applications on small systems if anything. Like running the pump out of the oil biome is perfect for coal. Don't run any industrial machinery inside your main base, and keep the cooking area away from the crops. If left in place, the water basins in the starting zone are powerful heat sinks that should be able to keep the heat under 30 until cycle 300 or so.
The perfect dump makes me so happy. As someone who always builds around things rather than strip- mining, it's a joy to see such an advanced colony that isn't also made out of prefect squares.
I have 80 hours into this game and never even made plastic... Great video though, super inspiring to try harder and finally get to lategame. Love your regular use of the word 'wonderful' Echo, so wholesome
5:30 It seems that those numbers are to show what ranch it is. The amount of critters is the green vertical bar. You can see that ranch 3 only has one critter.
It appears that the numbers are to identify the ranch and the color of the number indicates if the ranch is full or not along with the vertical bar indicating the exact number of creatures in the ranch. Give me a big gigantic visual indicator any day! (Also I think the P at the end is because its the Pokeshell ranch.)
Imagine being a creator that wants to show engagement... then shows that he doesn't even look at your bases he asked to see that you spent a hundred hours on.
That high pressure oxygen pocket is a geode. It got cut off by the biome border. But it has all the characteristics. Obsidian with diamond sprinkles surrounded by an abyssalite shell.
from what i can tell when looking at the automation at 5:30 , to me it looks like the numbers are just the numbers for the ranches, and the automation turns the numbers green if theyre full. theres also a bar below them which also shows how close they are to being full, which is why so many critter sensors are used
Its fascinating seeing other people's setups, especially for power. I recently started playing, and its a little overwhelming just trying to figure out the basics. Stuff like this helps a lot, so thank you for sharing! These look so cool.
Ah yes those high density gas pockets are great fun. Especially when it's something "useless" like chlorine. And you don't notice when breaking open the cavern. And your entire map fills up with this stuff.
How did the first guy managed to wildplant so many sleet wheat so close together? I thought Pip Planting would limit it to 3 plants separated by 3 spaces.

Good morning Echo! I loved seeing this video and getting to enjoy how everyone tackles the same problem in a different way. That's why I love this game, you have so many options for problem solving and creativity. Thanks for another great video (and great colonies from the community)!
It helped me a lot with the full achievement run. Doing Locavore, Carnivore, and Super Sustainable on a map with limited algae made early oxygen HARD...
Me: I'm so proud that I managed to make the plumbed bathroom Echo Ridge showed me how to make. This Video: Here's a fully automated colony with the most complex base layouts possible. Me: I give up. Lol
The mechanical airlocks on the steam generator inputs looks incredibly familiar; maybe Brothgar did something like that way back in the day? Either way it's a really cool control system for hot vents that's for sure!
And here I am, still struggling to keep the duplicates alive after 100+ cycles, when the heat shuts down food plants and I run out of algae to deal with carbon dioxide and to produce oxygen :D
2:39 I have a pocket like that with over 460 kilos per space in my current playthrough on rime, except instead of oxygen, it's natural gas. I haven't tapped into it yet though, but I'm thinking of building a liquid lock and pumping it into a natural gas generator or 2. It'd be able to fuel a natural gas generator for nearly 19 hours
Hello every one. Question: 16:40 How do I create those very large statues that you can see in the bedroom ? I seem to have researched everything that I could, but still I can't craft them. I have looked everywhere in the build options. Am I missing something ?

Absolute bliss to see this video.
I was laughing so hard at 24:30 where you "fixed" the recreation room with TEA!!!
:) Thanks Ghostrider!
what kind of tea you serve them? Let me guess: Yorkshire...
Makes me want to make a colony called "Anti-Tea Rebles" made up of dupes that rebel against the tea drinkers and chug soda instead.

I just started playing OnI and this, is what amazes me
I Didn't use the oxygen geode. To be fair I only played up to cycle 219. Also we called it the emergency button

I really like The Perfect Dump. I wish that kind of building was more common.
17:00 2 doors on the horizontal works too, short of material. giving 1, 3, 5 ports, 3 temperature ranges
