    Some of the old school color schemes are timeless and so clean looking. That's a sharp bike!

      @@KaplanCycles just been eating meat i eat some potatoes but try n stay away from anything that turns to sugar im down to 295 from 370. i think between not eating garbage and my new kidney pill n shot once a week it takes what sugar i do eat n gets rid of it. i lift about 5 times a week im not going nuts on lifting just strenghth n walk 2 miles a day on the treadmill sometimes 3 if i can. as nerve damage to the left side of my dody hinders me sometimes. it is all mindset cause thiers times i think to myself is it really worth tryn as fckd up as my body is i can say i do feel better cause ive lost some wieght but because of walking n lifting im tired to. like i say to people im dieing of heart n stage 3 kidney diease this is just slowing it down i tell people dont be a fat diabetic like myself take care of yourself cause your dead a long time. what sucks is i farmed n drove semi 30 yrs n woke up one day with mersa blood infection n found out i was diabetic n that was a rough couple yrs in 2015 about died twice was in n out of hospital for over a yr had a pic in my left arme going to my heart had to go to hospital everyday for 6 months straight n get pumped full of antibiotics. ill be 53 in april id like to try n make it to 60 but i dont think thats gonna happen. hopefully i can stay out of the ground a few monre yr to take care of disabled wife she will have a nice house when im gone only cause my late uncle passed n left it to us hopefully she can pay the taxs n keep it. i think being unable to work puts me in depression mode sometimes cause ya cant afford shit on social security lol n ive come to realize my harley roadglide is just a pipe dream n im ok with that i just go to the dealers n look at them n bike shows ill probably just save up n buy a old 1500 dollar japense bike to putt around on or just keep watching your videos shatree surgeon weems motor co n blockhead on youtube those 3 are down in florida there fun to watch. i know i bust your guys balls n its a bussiness but your videos seem like ya guys dont have fun anymore you know im a lifer i like every video on both channels you should look up those guys on youtube. i know thier out of tampa i know shadetree surgeon is a big fan of yours hope your having fun down in florida keep making videos i always save watching your videos untill im walking on the treadmill it keeps me from saying fck it n quiting love ya guys

    “Uncle Ray” had a bike just like this back in the 80’s. Should get some video of him riding it before someone buys this beautiful time piece. It was a cool bike back then and it’s even cooler now!

    I agree with Bill, the late 1970s & early '80s produced some great motorcycles of all genres.

    Fantastic platform from Suki, I owned the 83 GSES 1100, in the day. What a bike, back when 110 hp ruled the world🏆

    Awesome classic bike. Sharp looking example there.
    Saw Wes Cooley at Portland International Raceway sitting in the grandstands few rows down from us in his leathers talking to someone years ago. We're like, "That's Wes Cooley!" 🙂😀

    Stored a buddies GS1000 for him at one time. Bike had magnesium rims, engine was blueprinted punched to I believe was 1078cc, rotating mass welded as was the clutch basket. Maxi bored carbs and I forget what cams but drivability was awesome but when you made it twist and shout the bike was a handful. At the time I didn't have a full helmet and couldn't top bike out. I remember just granny shifting into 4th at 130mph and front wheel lifting. Bike revved well past stock red line. I only took bike to 160 mph and that was 4th gear. Ride the bike normal and it purred like a putty cat but twist the throttle it would roar. I was lucky bike wasn't registered to my address cause I'd only had to hide it in my backyard every time I'd come back from a ride. I'd take my harley out after that and it was like riding a jalopy 😁

    I love how the Kaptain knows to put the emphasis on exclusivity for mechanical work.
    I'd rather set valve lash and change carburetor jets any damn day of the week over modern machines
    The mechanical design of them makes them the absolute simplest machine to dial in.
    Get a chuckle every time.
    The Kap Tax®
    The value from buying one of the Kaps bikes comes from knowing it was gone over by competent, confident minds.
    That alone is worth the tax. You never know what you're going to buy from some a****** on the street.
    The salesmen in him still upsells the hell outta that tuning🤣

    A 1979 xr185? Mostly cosmetic accessories.

    • @KaplanCycles
      @KaplanCycles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no central despatch, distributor or dealer for classic bike parts, its a full time job for several people to pull off parts searches online worldwide for dozens of classics we restore every month. Good luck in your search.
