great job, super pictures, and congrats for finding the sun - when we used to go there the kids called it WINDY ISLAND - got many a pic of their shivering little faces as we sheltered behind a wall to eat our sandwiches.
Photo #1, super photo, Gary. Photo #2, super photo, Gary. Your photo #3 is very different than the one you won an award. I prefer the one you won an award. Great video Gary.
Lindisfarne was gods gift to photographers! I was there many years ago the weather was so bad that it was dangerous to even get out of the car however the weather changed in the afternoon so I went back, I had the whole place to myself for a couple of hours, I always promised myself I would return but I did not shame on me, but I did get some nice shots on my visit! The anchor ring gets bigger as the lens gets wider, you got some lovely pictures and you was blessed with some good weather. Well done I enjoyed that. Thank you.
I liked the final fine art one the best. Like many of the honey pots, you have to shoot the castle but there is much more to the island and I cannot wait to go back there and stay overnight. Not sure I will be dipping the dangle-berries but much respect for going that far for your art! Thanks for sharing.
Another brilliant vlog Gary. Great images as always. Love your minimalistic photography and technique used while out finding your compositions. Keep up your fantastic work.
Absolutely amazing, my pick would have to be the B&W image of the groins leading to the castle with the water smoothed out, how could anyone not love long exposures and minimalistic images. Thanks for sharing Gary.
Absolutely loved every single one of your photos on this video and especially watching you editing the 1st image, how you managed to remove all the distracting junk that you didn't want was brilliant. I can only wish that one day my editing skills will be half as good as yours Gary. When i am out with the camera i also find myself trying to find shots that i have never seen before, it makes it more challenging but i like it.!!
Thanks Gary... Gave me a good laugh watching the water going higher up your legs & getting your shorts wet...You prevailed once again & came away with some beauties'! Bill on the Hill... :~)
Just spent a wonderful week in the Holy Island area. We go back year after year, and that is no mean feat as we live in Plymouth, near 500 miles away, and I always find something worth photographing. The area is well worth a visit.
Following inspiration from your videos, I've been discovering some great locations and am enjoying my landscape photography more than ever before. Thanks.
Absolutely loved your images from Lindisfarne: these and your fine art compositions have inspired me to go in that direction with my photography here in the Lake District where I live.
Great to see you back on the scene Gary. Fantastic images as usual. I found it difficult to choose which image was my favourite, but i think the one with the Boat with the Castle in the background and the last one shown were my favourite. If there had been a rogue wave it would have been sack and crack.
Wonderful! Made me chuckle a few times, I won’t mention age and sack length. What a start to the video as well Gary! And as I’ve said many times, first class images and skilled editing! 👍
What a great tutorial stunning images as always loved the footage at the start , and the minalamistic shots were fab your certainly fantastic at this. Thank you Gary
love your fav - it was mine too ... was great to see holy island too - I read the book but understand it so much better now after seeing the causeway and castle lol
Another great video giving more food for thought. I've shot from there in past years and this gives me a reason to re visit. Something you may wish to consider Gary, I notice you regularly wearing wellies and sometimes getting them filled with water as do many other photographers. Have you considered buying/wearing anglers chest waders? I have a pair and they do an admirable job. They keep you dry and clean, not just when wading but also in wet and muddy environments particularly when having to kneel down. Just a thought............. Cheers.
Great video and lots of lovely long exposure photo. I love the one with the ring bring covered with water. I learn a lot and also gain some inspiration from the video on long exposure photography!
You brought me nice memories. Whenever I visit my Dad in the North East I always visit Holy Island as it is a magnificent place. Now you made me want to visit again which I am sure that I will. Great vlog as always.
Outstanding images as is the norm for you Gary, love your laid back approach too. I'm really glad that I hadn't got a mouth full of tea, or even worse, beer, when you made the comment about getting a wet sack, it could have made a right mess of my keyboard & monitor 😂😂
Wonderful compositional thought processing Mr Gough - especially given your "Monty Python Gumby" impersonation in shorts & wellies !! :) Hers a daft question : when using a 10 stop & polariser, which goes closest to the camera lens ? I have magnetic ones and am not sure at all how to combine them. Any thoughts warmly welcomed Gary.
I like those images a lot, I love long exposure photography at the coast. I haven't done any in ages which is a bit mad really, as I live in a Suffolk seaside town.
You need a bum bag for situations like that. So very useful for filters, cards, batteries, cleaning kit. So long as you don't need to change lenses your backpack stays on your back.
Very good drone footage at the beginning, would have liked to see some of the old castle also. I see why your earlier photo won an award; great shot Gary. Keep up the great vlogs!
Gavin, you had me in stitches with the sack comment. Great ideas, great images all in a great video. You are an inspiration to us all. Thanks for the time and effort you put in.
Hoping you're still impressed with the image quality of the camera. Take the strap off, surprising how the wind catches it! As always your imagination and photography skills have given us all a treat, you've perfected your style and no body else comes close in my opinion! Tremendous images Gary. Cheers. PS it was worth sacrificing the integrity of the "Sack" lol.
You did well not to end up on your arse -I know how slippy them rocks can be. Luckilly my camera bag was on my back so it saved my spine. I'll have to give it a go when tide is coming in instead of going out - problem solving :-)
Love It Gary, I was there one week ago and shot a lot of those scenes. I note the National Trust did not allow drone flying on their land so I too had to fly along way off from the back of the castle, along the coast.
Yeah the NT can be a pain at times. Thing is, they don't own the airspace so it's a pretty unenforceable rule. I respect nature though so I didn't fly it much on the Island at all
Really great video Gary and the final image where you ask for thoughts.....I do like the one where the ring is just under the water as it adds a little something else. Just a question regarding your tripod? How do you clean/dry it after being in the sea like that? I was knee deep on Sunday trying to emulate some of your style and I now have a tripod that seems to have a fair bit of sand in it. (Glad the sack stayed dry by the way!)
When you compare those 2 images past & present how you have become such an outstanding photographer. Maybe It is time to become a member & move my standards up a level or two. Amazing images.
Hi Gary, great fine art style pics as always. Do you use multiple images, one normal exposure and mask the long exposure to ensure sharpness or just one image? Cheers
Not bad I suppose... but if I'm being honest bloody brilliant! I'm down in Southampton soon for a week, I thought it was a good base to start from with loads of great photo opportunities from forest, street and seascapes as well as architecture. I'm just starting out in photography so trying all options.
Very nice. How did you keep the camera still for a 2 minute exposure with the waves crashing into it? Or did you just take the chance and see how it came out?
Great video again Gary and thanks for sharing. I have a couple of questions though. This afternoon I attended a landscape photography course and they stated that you should never (within reason) shoot on f16, 18 or 22. Also, never use a polarizer with an ND filter? Any thoughts?
I shoot at F16/18 all the time. All the images taken in this video have been taken using a polariser and ND grad. They look pretty decent to me. It’s never good practice to shoot at either end of you camera aperture. Having said that, I shoot lots of fine art so it really doesn’t matter. If the light and conditions dictate you fire at F18 then do it!
You are simply one of a kind and an absolute MASTER when it comes to minimalistic images !
I also like the black and white the most!!!
great job, super pictures, and congrats for finding the sun - when we used to go there the kids called it WINDY ISLAND - got many a pic of their shivering little faces as we sheltered behind a wall to eat our sandwiches.
Favourite photographer, favourite location, great imagery. No more to say.
Absolutely stunning pictures! This video is a real inspiration!
Thank you so much!

Gary does it again. Another informative and entertaining video with stunning images as well.
Cheers Thomas 👍👍
Precioso. Grandes tutoriales. He aprendido mucho, con usted siguiéndole y poniendo en práctica sus reglas y composiciones. Gracias.
Muy amable de tu parte al decirlo. Gracias
Another great video. It is very interesting how a small shift of location makes a big difference. Thanks for this.
Cheers Sandy 👍👍
Thanks for the video Gary. Top class images.
Thank you Mr Hamilton :) 👍👍

Beautiful photos Gary! When almost every photographer complains about the light is being to harsh you take amazing pictures during these conditions.
Thanks 👍 Cheers Tom 👍👍
Your work is excellent. I do enjoy watching your videos. Well done!
Thank you very much!
really enjoy watching your thought process , nice video once again.
Thank you very much!
Thank you for the fast-play of the retouching. Fine art photos at their best.
Final image is superb
Cheers Rich 👍👍
What can I say, Brilliant thanks for the lesson Gary, a pleasure to watch and be taken there.
Many thanks!
Super images, especially the final image. A very enjoyable video.
Found this really inspiring Gary - thanks for picking me up again!! 🙏🙏😎👌
Lindisfarne…my favourite place
As always, amazing images and helpful guidance! Thanks!
Superb Shots Gary will definitely be having a go @ this thanks for the time & effort you put in to theses vlogs
Thanks 👍
Always look forward to your videos Gary and your images are fantastic 🙌🏻
Yet another fantastic video Gary; and what a fabulous set of images and post processing. You are a master at Photoshop!!
G'day Gary. Very nice. I continue to learn from you every video. Thanks mate.

Brilliant Gary! Loved it when you said you’d call it a day when the water reached your sack!! 😂😂
Thanks for transporting me to a favourite place.
A great set of images Gary and a terrific location 👍🏽
Just spent a wonderful week in the Holy Island area. We go back year after year, and that is no mean feat as we live in Plymouth, near 500 miles away, and I always find something worth photographing. The area is well worth a visit.
I love it as you could probably tell :) Thanks Valerie 👍👍
Following inspiration from your videos, I've been discovering some great locations and am enjoying my landscape photography more than ever before. Thanks.
That's great news all round 👍👍
Absolutely loved your images from Lindisfarne: these and your fine art compositions have inspired me to go in that direction with my photography here in the Lake District where I live.
Nice video Gary 2nd time I've watched this one.
I personally prefer too your favorite but the one where you won the award.
Stunning work as always Gary.
Fantastic shot well worth the award l like the original due to the green and brown but the black and white still sensational.
Great to see you back on the scene Gary.
Fantastic images as usual.
I found it difficult to choose which image was my favourite, but i think the one with the Boat with the Castle in the background and the last one shown were my favourite.

I like them all ! Beautiful work.
I would doubt you would money in your pockets, but 1st thing come to mind was van keys🤣🤣 thanks for your time, as always great to watch👍
lol the van keys were safe and sound in my camera bag. I've been there before now :)
Wonderful! Made me chuckle a few times, I won’t mention age and sack length. What a start to the video as well Gary! And as I’ve said many times, first class images and skilled editing! 👍
Thank you my great pal 😁😁
Images are stunning
Cheers Richie. They will be available to download at the end of the week. 👍👍
@@GaryGough appreciate that as always. yYour work is just outstanding. I am very greatful of your work you share with us all.
Thank you very much. X

All those images are fantastic. I aspire to be as good as you.
Glad the drone is back. Great images as always
Back with a vengeance :) Cheers Peter
As always Gary, a great video with lots of tips that we can all learn from and improve our photography. Trouble is - you always make it look so easy!!
Exemplary Work Gary, a very well done Sir,
love your fav - it was mine too ... was great to see holy island too - I read the book but understand it so much better now after seeing the causeway and castle lol

Lovely all of them Gary
I too like your favourite ….. but I enjoyed the colour version as much or more
I'm astonished the images came out so sharp, despite the waves continuously hitting the tripod during the two minutes.
Fantastic shots Gary 1st class
I love the intro and the video style! the images are all amazing specially in black and white! fantastic work as always!
Cheers Muhammad 👍👍
Great images, love the last one too 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent, thank you
Cheers Owen 👍👍
Great images Gary, very inspiring
Great images and great commentary made for a great vlog!
Cheers GB 👍👍 I struggled to use the 30fps footage, it was too jumpy :(
I can use the drone footage on my next video though :)
Great video and lots of lovely long exposure photo. I love the one with the ring bring covered with water. I learn a lot and also gain some inspiration from the video on long exposure photography!

I must confess Gary, I liked them all.
Really nice compositions really like the b&w conversion too :)
Wonderful compositional thought processing Mr Gough - especially given your "Monty Python Gumby" impersonation in shorts & wellies !! :)
Hers a daft question : when using a 10 stop & polariser, which goes closest to the camera lens ? I have magnetic ones and am not sure at all how to combine them.
Any thoughts warmly welcomed Gary.
It's important that the 10-stop is sealed from light. That usually means the ND filter is closest the lens. It depends on your filter system though.
I like those images a lot, I love long exposure photography at the coast. I haven't done any in ages which is a bit mad really, as I live in a Suffolk seaside town.
You need to get out there :)
You need a bum bag for situations like that. So very useful for filters, cards, batteries, cleaning kit.
So long as you don't need to change lenses your backpack stays on your back.
Sensible idea Mark, cheers 👍👍
These were fantastic images.
Been looking forward to this all day.
Very good drone footage at the beginning, would have liked to see some of the old castle also. I see why your earlier photo won an award; great shot Gary. Keep up the great vlogs!
I think you were at your awesomeness best in this one.

It's wedding season so the strap will be on more than it's off :) Too much of a fuff putting it on and off 😁 Cheers as always xx
Top drawer as usual Gary, some stunning images!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great photos and place 😍😍👍👍
Thanks for opening my eyes and starting up my imagination
Great vid mate. Well done on that last comp in the sea! Right conditions and that’s a banger. Well worth getting wet bits for 😂
Enjoyed the video, great ideas, wished I thought of some of them when I was there last week.
Wonderful pictrures. I'd never be brave enough to do a long exposure my back turned to a rising sea.
It was nice and calm :) Cheers 👍👍
All photographers should get there feet water to get a fantastic shot.stunning images though Gary
Great video and great images
Some cracking images Gary, as always an inspiration to us all. But leave the dangerous stuff for Mr Hardcastle.
You did well not to end up on your arse -I know how slippy them rocks can be. Luckilly my camera bag was on my back so it saved my spine. I'll have to give it a go when tide is coming in instead of going out - problem solving :-)

Amazing like always
looks good 'everything in place' , a you stand in water up to your ---- . Good to know ;)
Great stuff , really interesting !!
All good gary, mono every time for me, I tried similar with the boat but there was slight movement, I’d love to shoot that place minus people
