Agreed, very proud of the Corvette team. Excited to see the Zora take on the Revuelto in a couple years, they're going to have similar specs. Revuelto has 1kHP, 595lbf torque and weighs 3,900lb, the Corvette Zora should ~ the same weight, within 100hp, and have at least 120lbf more torque. Pretty bananas, assuming they just take the ZR1 and put an electric system on the front axle, similar to the Eray. And it'll probably be about half the price of the Revuelto, too. I doubt they'll charge more than 350k.
I would. The Vette is 0-60 in 2.6 ON PAPER...after multiple runs on an ideal surface with a professional driver. LOTS of videos show that AWD EVs are REALLY fast with almost anyone driving. They just plain hookup better and can always use their immense torque immediately. In the first 50 yards or 50 meters EVs are unreal. They also drag race VERY consistently.

Got a Z06 allocation this week after waiting almost 2 years. Gladly trading in my Tesla Model 3 Performance for it too. The Tesla was fun at first but became very boring and sterile after a year of ownership. Still love my Rivian R1T. It’s much better looking than this fridge design disaster.

@@scottleggejr Actually, when driving on-road, thanks to the air suspension dropping the suspension low down for good highway performance, the nose of the Cybertruck is lower than pretty much all full-size truck with their barn-door sized bullnose. In addition, the windscreen is swept back in line with the profile of the bonnet (hood). This means that pedestrians are actually safer being hit by a Cybertruck as their head and chest is above the bonnet line. And with the windscreen sloped back so far, there is far less danger of smashing headfirst into the windscreen - the tendency would be to slide up and over.

Tesla has done internal crash tests and published the videos which compare very favourably with crash tests of F-150s and other trucks. It helps not having a huge engine block being deposited in the laps of the front seat passengers. NHTSA hasn’t yet tested it as they only do that with vehicles that are shipping in significant volume which the Cybertruck isn’t yet. Trucks with gooseballs and fifth wheelers are a tiny fraction of one percent of all trucks sold meaning that is not a requirement to be classed as a “real truck”.

Having recently go a Z06, I can honestly say I really don't care if a Cybertruck can beat me from a dig. The sound, 8600rpm rev limit and general experience of the Z06 just makes me not care if a silent, soulless EV truck is faster. :)
I've owned 2 different supercharged C5 Corvettes over 15 years, and a host of other hot rods and sports cars. These EV's just have no soul to them. As you said. And that takes out half of what I love about ICE sports cars/muscle cars/super cars.

So I keep seeing the comments about the Eray not being any faster than the Z06. Well I’d hate to break to you guys but look at the review on Hagerty. Eray vs Huracan vs F8 and guess which car won the drag race? Eray because of the 120hp electric front drive motors thing pulled off the line 2 to 3 lengths ahead before either of the two caught up. Which makes it quicker than the Z06. They even did a comparison with the two vettes.

I noticed that nobody mentions the Cybertruck hitting the speed limiter that keeps it from going over the max speed of the tires in any of the videos of it drag racing. In some truck drag race videos where the vehicle has a speed limiter, the driver usually mentions “hitting a wall” or something, but I haven’t heard anyone say that in a Cyberbeast drag video. Given the 11.2s quarter, the CB must be going somewhere north of 120mph, so they are probably “H” rated which is a max speed of 130mph. If that’s the case, then in the roll race, I wonder if the Cyberbeast actually hits the speed limiter before the end of the run?

Confirmed, Elon tweet on 2/27/24 the Tesla roadster 0 to 60 is less than 1 second. It will be nice to see sports car against sports car. Unveiling this year production next year.

Got a Z06 allocation this week after waiting almost 2 years. Gladly trading in my Tesla Model 3 Performance for it too. The Tesla was fun at first but became very boring and sterile after a year of ownership. Still love my Rivian R1T. It’s much better looking than this fridge design disaster.

@@scottleggejr Actually, when driving on-road, thanks to the air suspension dropping the suspension low down for good highway performance, the nose of the Cybertruck is lower than pretty much all full-size truck with their barn-door sized bullnose.
In addition, the windscreen is swept back in line with the profile of the bonnet (hood).
This means that pedestrians are actually safer being hit by a Cybertruck as their head and chest is above the bonnet line. And with the windscreen sloped back so far, there is far less danger of smashing headfirst into the windscreen - the tendency would be to slide up and over.

Tesla has done internal crash tests and published the videos which compare very favourably with crash tests of F-150s and other trucks. It helps not having a huge engine block being deposited in the laps of the front seat passengers. NHTSA hasn’t yet tested it as they only do that with vehicles that are shipping in significant volume which the Cybertruck isn’t yet.
Trucks with gooseballs and fifth wheelers are a tiny fraction of one percent of all trucks sold meaning that is not a requirement to be classed as a “real truck”.

Having recently go a Z06, I can honestly say I really don't care if a Cybertruck can beat me from a dig. The sound, 8600rpm rev limit and general experience of the Z06 just makes me not care if a silent, soulless EV truck is faster. :)
I've owned 2 different supercharged C5 Corvettes over 15 years, and a host of other hot rods and sports cars. These EV's just have no soul to them. As you said. And that takes out half of what I love about ICE sports cars/muscle cars/super cars.
That's what people say now. Quarter mile is about who's fastest but now since electric cars are smoking everything, people like you say it doesn't matter. When that's all that matters.
Some cars are ugly at first but you get used to them and even start to like/love the styling. The cyber truck is weirdly the opposite - just gets worse every time I see it 😂

So I keep seeing the comments about the Eray not being any faster than the Z06. Well I’d hate to break to you guys but look at the review on Hagerty. Eray vs Huracan vs F8 and guess which car won the drag race? Eray because of the 120hp electric front drive motors thing pulled off the line 2 to 3 lengths ahead before either of the two caught up. Which makes it quicker than the Z06. They even did a comparison with the two vettes.
That E-Ray is is coming for those Cybertruck stainless steel cheeks. The clappening is on the way!
The C8 Z06 is my dream car. I've loved Corvettes since I was a kid. I'd be thrilled with a bare-bones C8 Stingray! I saw a Cyber Truck recently. It makes a statement, that's for sure.

I noticed that nobody mentions the Cybertruck hitting the speed limiter that keeps it from going over the max speed of the tires in any of the videos of it drag racing. In some truck drag race videos where the vehicle has a speed limiter, the driver usually mentions “hitting a wall” or something, but I haven’t heard anyone say that in a Cyberbeast drag video. Given the 11.2s quarter, the CB must be going somewhere north of 120mph, so they are probably “H” rated which is a max speed of 130mph. If that’s the case, then in the roll race, I wonder if the Cyberbeast actually hits the speed limiter before the end of the run?
