      Thanks for watching!! I think with some of these cheaper reels it's probably more common to get a lemon once in a while. Fortunately I've had good luck with mine, if you get hold of piscifun they will probably replace it or fix it. I've heard they have good customer service. Thanks again for checking out the channel!

      Take it apart. Alot of the times there locking up bc something came apart. Or wasn't greased in factory. I've had a reel from kastking that wasn't factory greased it was dry I didn't know. Took it out locked it. Brought it home. No grease. Greased it runs perfect casts amazing an works like a dream

    Straight out of the box with a 3 oz weight and no adjustment my 50`s and 40`s will bust 100 yards with no backlash, your 60 shouldn`t need much if any adjustment, they are great reels and all I use.

    New sub brother, great channel. I put my hands on one of those and it seemed be a nice reel, I'll probably buy a couple soon. About the wobble I've noticed it on a bunch of different rods and reels, I use something like an old credit card and cut a stack a couple pieces between the reel and rod then tighten them down, I've had to do this on a couple BCF rods and Abu 6500 reels. Thanks for sharing

    Is the frame and sideplates are metal? Thinking of getting one... The brakes are centrifugal? Or just spool tension? I have some baitcasters bit im pretty new to these bigger round reels

    • @FishinNFreedom1776

    @jonathanwells9461 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You mentioned adjusting the brakes for casting. How did you do it? I don't have the manual and I'm trying to make some changes to figure out what's best

    • @FishinNFreedom1776
      @FishinNFreedom1776  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much for watching Jonathan, I would recommend tightening 'slightly' the spool tensioner knob. Little knob on the handle side. Then loosen that knob a very little bit at a time, making a few cast each time, you will notice that you get more casting distance as the spool tension is loosened, but you will also start to get backlash so you have to use your thumb a little more aggressively on the spool to keep it from backlashing just try to find a happy medium between casting distance and it getting to the point of backlashing. Also with more weights, you Will want to tighten it a little.. Thanks again for watching!

YA NO, so now I have a left hand retrieve that I feel like a moron when I reel. I just deal with it for now, because it casts sooo good. Just ordere a pennn rival as well, to give that a shot too.

    Hi I have never used a bait caster type reel in my life (im 62) but want to try the piscifun alijos 300 reel for surf fishing...... I use a 4 meter long rod and sling a minimum of a 4oz sinker, 50lb braid with 2 hooks and large baits...... is this reel capable of handling this type of setup. Am I wasting my time and money even trying something like this...... you advise would be most helpful....... Cheers

      I have never personally used an Alijos, a few friends of mine have used them for catfishing and love them!
      4 meter is around 12ft if I'm correct.. I have had the Chaos 60 on my 11ft rod for almost 2 yrs now and throw 6 and 8oz weights and good size baits with no problem. I suspect that the Alijos would hold up fine in the same conditions. Have heard great things about them. And using braid you should have plenty of line capacity. Wish I could help more, if you get it please let me know how you like it! Thanks again

    Just received my 60 today, on mine I hear that same “clickity klack “ when your reeling on your first cast, I found it to be play where the handle is attached to the reel. I have 10 different brand reels anywhere from 1 to 20 years old and none have play like this. It seems kinda Excessive.
    How is your 60 doing, still holding up?

    • @FishinNFreedom1776
      @FishinNFreedom1776  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I have 5 of them now lol.. I've had some minor issues with a couple of them, like the bolts that hold the side plate getting loose over time and the clicker button getting hard to engage. That's all probably due to lack of maintenance on my part. I've been really hard on them.
      I have bought 2 Penns, an ancient mariner, and big salis X since then and my Chaos are still my favorite and best casting reels I have.
