The most amusing thing that I've heard from Disney was when they decided to change the new cap movie from new world order to brave new world to seem less ominous.
@davidgantenbein9362 Yeah it's a pretty good one up there with 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 as far as dystopian society and how they selectively inhibit the development during birth to be 'either alphas to epsilons and then keep them in light with a drug called soma.
Well at this point, for Disney and the rest, the inmates are running the asylum, so... it ain't gonna change until the asylum burns to the ground. So to speak.
The only reason that Disney was going with Kang was that, at the time, Jonathan Majors had been selected by Hollywood to be the next big star. So without him, there's no point.
Entirely new schools of economic thought must be created to figure out where the hell all the money Disney spends goes. If Valiant can crack it, he may get a Nobel in economics, you never know.
The Nobel committee is a political machine. Some laureates are deserving, many are dubious. It's like the Academy Award. The guests have their gift bags and the laureates have free publicity and a significant raise of the paycheck following that. For the Nobel, same process. Except all selected candidates get free publicity so the overlords know which scumbags to hire for their projects. And the laureates get the money prizes, which sometimes go to a potentially worthy mind but most times go to amoral, or very twisted individuals, more than happy to serve the overlords. The Nobel is just another institution by the amoral elite, for the amoral elite. And they virtue signal pretty hard left.
It isn't money laundering, just normal corruption. The director hires her friends, those friends hire their friends, etc, etc. Everyone is making tons of money except for Disney.
Here’s the thing that gets me and I get there. It’s making it cost saving money for them because they get some of that money back because of the way the British movie industry works, but given the fact that every time they shoot in Pinewood and they know that because of the way the British laws are that those all of those taxable stuff all the taxes and stuff have to be made public, you would think Disney would learn not to shoot in Britain because they can’t hide the numbers like they can and say California is it just me that desperate or that stupied because it seems to me after the first one or two times they got caught lying about the numbers they would stop doing it
There's more to it. The UK does give good tax breaks but the excellent studios, crews, locations and access to other European countries also play a major part in selecting the UK as a production base.
It probably has to do with the expenses in California being even bigger, so it’s either avoid losing more money by filming in California or it’s a couple of TH-camrs knowing the numbers. Let’s not overestimate TH-camrs, most normies don’t know and if we are talking hundreds of millions in difference over time, the UK wins.
@@peterd788 but my point is because of the laws that are involved where they have to have transparency you would think that Disney a company that likes to hide all the numbers would not want to film there because they would actually have to show numbers and it just shows you how much Disney has basically lied to its customersand potential customers
Something that I would like to see because I’m kind of curious about it I’m wondering how much money in total Disney has lost between Disney+ and the movies combined since endgame. I really would like to see a grand total on how much money they have lost on the show after show after show on Disney+ and how much money they’ve lost at the box office and take those two numbers and combine them together and get a grand total to see how much since endgame has premiered, they have lost just curious
A few 10 billions I expect at least, if Valant can get a rough figure, it will likely be a massive bomb shell, I honestly wonder are they truly making money from streaming in general, we know Disney plus is a dead anchor on the company and they are determined to drive out the middle class from their parks with all of the hikes, really this company needs a full audit, top to bottom and then they can start cutting the real waste!!
@@superomegaprimemk2 I think it’s more than 10 billion. I would bet if you averaged it all up it comes out somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 trillion. Dollars. Disney is not making money anymore. The only thing that’s been keeping them afloat and going are the parks and Bob Iger determined to destroy that too $400 for a cake. It’s insane determined to make Disney exclusive to the rich. The problem is making exclusive to the rich means, fewer people means you’re gonna have to bump up the prices get rid of those pesky peasants and you can drive the prices through the damn roof. It’s insane. There’s a lady I watch on TH-cam called the retail hippie just on some of the fashion that they like to wear and some of the things that they will spend just like she just did a deal where one of the big hoity-toity designers selling a $2000 boomerang, yeah it’s insane. do you think the child procurement would be under the "Hospitality" budget line? i wonder who's taking up the slack in the UK now that Jimmy Savile has passed.
I just can’t get over the fact that Babylon 5 cost something like $2 million per episode and then work barely coughed up that much. Yes, inflation things a little bit. But I can’t fathom the extraordinary amount of money Disney spends for so little return.
At this point, all I see is money laundering. How is it possible one company can burn this much $ with no backlash from the stockholders? Definitely don’t seem to be doing it for profit since nothing is profiting.
The stockholders either don't know or don't care. Or they 100% support the message. Remember, for lots of these rich people, making money is far less important than being invited to all the right parties. Speaking out will get you disinvited.
Disney is great at not making money or either really bad at money laundering (over invoicing to artificially inflate costs), not sure which yet, need more information.
Loki SE02 was just dull as dishwater. It's like they sucked the joy out of the script and the actors just couldn't work the magic with what they had. SE01 was alright, I don't get Pro throwing shade 2 years down the road. No one was saying "it's broken" at the time
Season 1 didn't age that well and was slightly over hyped, IMO. Sure, the first few episodes were great, but it quickly became a bait and switch with girl Loki calling the shots and the Infinity Stones turning into paper weights adding up. Not a bad first season, overall and as good as Marvel shows will get.
OK, if the *brief mention* that Loki is probably bi ruined that episode for anybody, you are the problem. It's not as if Loki was previously established to be a total poon hound in his earlier appearances and they retconned it. It also wasn't a big deal to the story. The show never became about his sexuality. The weird romance with his alt self later in the season was far more offputting, just because I can't fire if she's technically liek a sister to him or not. I'd rather leave that sort of thing to Game of Thrones.
well, at least we all know there are folks out there who have NO CLUE WHAT A "MASTERPIECE" IS and are very very VERY easily amused. it must be nice to be able to watch any old garbage and think it's the greatest thing to ever happen to film....
Not a masterpiece, but it was alright. If a fanedit had Season 1 and Season 2 as 1 Season with some of the filler taken out, I think it would be pretty good, if not great.
I don’t remember any virtue signaling in Loki outside of Loki saying what we have all known and has been that way in the comics is that he’s sexually ambiguous. Now we are jumping off a cliff crying about that now too? Also in that episode they were on a planet that was being destroyed as a moon was crashing into it and was absolutely one of the better episodes of the season. You guys gotta stop reaching.
Yeah. The comics are trash after 2000 they don't exist. Loki is a shapeshifter not a weirdo. I bet your favorite part was he got kicked in the ballz repeatedly. 😢😢
The most amusing thing that I've heard from Disney was when they decided to change the new cap movie from new world order to brave new world to seem less ominous.
funnier if you've read the book brave new world and then you start wondering that was the real reason they changed the name at all
These are very ignorant people, doubt they knew who Aldous Huxley was before getting panned for that totally not ominous title change 😂😂😂
Damn, didn’t know about the book „Brave New World“, but now that I know, the title change of the movie feels like a conspiracy theory in plain sight.
