    Cut into squares instead of circle…no scraps and the dough is handled less

    Can I use spelt flour instead of all purpose flour? South Africa does not have all purpose flour .

    • @Ireneathanasiou
      @Ireneathanasiou  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey there! i've never used spelt flour for this recipe but you can definitely try! You might need to add a little more liquid. Pls try it out and let me know how it goes. ❤️❤️❤️

      All purpose is also known as plain flour. Not sure if maybe by chance they'd have that?

    I thought the rule was 1 t of baking powder per cup of flour? Isnt this a bit much? I dont want to waste my flour (its very expensive) and have them be bitter

    • @Ireneathanasiou
      @Ireneathanasiou  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Susan! I’m using baking powder in this recipe, not baking soda. 4 tsp of baking powder worked well for me in this recipe! I hope you enjoy it. ❤️❤️❤️🙏

    • @susansobon
      @susansobon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have had items come out bitter with using more than one teaspoon per cup. I will just continue with that and cut it to 3. Thank you

    • @Ireneathanasiou

      @@susansobon these scones are not bitter at all and very delicious but if you want to cut it to 3 go for it. 🙏❤️❤️❤️
