    Great video. I did this same trip in 2019, as part of a Seoul to Tokyo overland thing I put together. I really liked Busan though so I am planning to go back possibly this year. Thank you for making this video, you put it together very well and it was very enjoyable to watch. By the way, will you be going to a templestay in Korea?

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are indeed a lot of nice places to go to in Busan! We haven't experienced a templestay. In fact that's the first time I've heard of it. Sounds interesting! I will research on that and maybe try it on our next trip, so thank you ☺️
      In our trip to Korea, we went to Busan, Jeju and Seoul. In Busan, we rode the cable car and went to the beach. In Jeju, we walked the Olle trail paths (loads of nice views). In Seoul, we just food tripped close to the universities ☺️
      Also thank you for the nice words ☺️☺️☺️

    Cool Video ! may I ask you how it works with customs? do you also have to pass customs when you travel by boat? ~~

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! There's customs and you have to pass through it like any international travel.
      I remember, I bought a device from BicCamera in Tokyo and I got a tourism discount from it.
      In the store, they will tape the receipt on the passport.
      The store staff requested me to keep it there so they can claim their refund from the government.
      Then when we were leaving Japan through the ferry, the customs officer took the receipt from my passport :)
      No problem ^^

    You should inform about when this trip was. I guess it was pre-Covid, right? Maybe 2019? Almost 10.000 Yen? Expensive!

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes this was in 2019. Although the information is still relevant. If we check the rates of the flights from Japan to Korea currently, they are usually 40k yen per person. 10k is not expensive at all in comparison! 😉 And ferry is reasonable for some people who would rather not ride an airplane. There's more leg room and you can access your luggage any time if the waves permit it

    Hello Will I still need a Korean visa if I am a multiple tourist visa in Japan and want to experience sailing from Japan to Busan. But also return to Japan on my way home from the Philippines after 3 to 4 days staying busan? thank you..

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Short answer: For Busan, yes, you need a Visa.
      If you enter Korea through Busan, you need a Visa. If you enter through Jeju and stay only in Jeju, you don't need a Visa. All of these are regardless whether you hava multiple tourist visa in Japan

    I wish commentor "SirMurrayRivers" stops harassing my vlog 🙄🙄🙄 leaving ignorant and hateful comments

    • @SirMurrayRivers
      @SirMurrayRivers ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry. I am not trying to be hateful. I just want people to know there is a newer, bigger and better ferry on this service.

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      After accusing me of posting misinformative video (which is not the case at all) and posting comments multiple times, that's not hateful? sure!
      Like if you book an ticket from an airline company, do you care if you're riding a Boeing 777 or Boeing 747? NO, right? you just get from point A to point B. And you want to know the forms and fees and queues you need to line up to
      It should be a benefit for the viewers to know that there's a better, bigger and more stable ferry from the SAME company for the SAME price. Thanks for letting us know. 🙄🙄

      @@hallojanelle-travels If you had written the description as "Our travels by ferry from Japan to Korea in 2019", it would have been fine. Instead you wrote that this is the complete guide to the ferry. You then mentioned it was not suitable for someone who gets seasick like you. Whereas, there is a new boat with much less chance of getting seasick. Unfortunately, many people will be put off travelling by your comments.

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SirMurrayRivers is it not a complete guide? So what it's from 2019? A traveller will still go through similar processes as now in 2023.
      You're just adding a new argument
      And yeah I did get seasick but my companion did not. It is part of the travel that I'm sharing. Why would I hide the behind-the-scenes of travelling? Some people like an honest travel diary and some (like you) dont. It is my channel and I decide what to upload. If you're not satisfied with what I share, please check other channels. TH-cam has a lot of travel content creators 🙄

  • @SirMurrayRivers

    This boat no longer runs. It has been replaced by a much bigger ferry. You should not present a three year old video as a complete guide without pointing out that the video represents something that no longer exists. Your solution seems to be to delete my comment rather than let people know that this ferry has been replaced by a much bigger one.

    • @hallojanelle-travels
      @hallojanelle-travels  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not delete your comment but I did report it and TH-cam instantly deleted it which was not my intention
      Can you provide proof with link on your claim?
      Because this is the exact ferry that we rode:
      www.jrbeetle.com/en/
      It says there
      [On Friday, November 4, 2022, QUEEN BEETLE will finally enter service on the Fukuoka-Busan route. As part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Japan-South Korea route has been suspended since March 9, 2020, but due to the recent relaxation of border measures, we have decided to resume operations.]
      Excerpt from:
      www.jrbeetle.com/en/special/545/
      So, you're actually wrong
      This ferry is still operating

      @@SirMurrayRivers what "again"?🙄
      Look at the counter at timestamp 1:47
      My ticket at 2:26
      Our ferry at 2:47
      Everything says Beetle
      The logos are the same as in the website
      Even if they have a new ferry, it's still the same company
      And the prices are still reasonable
      Idk what u are harassing me for
      There will still be people who will choose to ride a ferry over an airplane and want to know what to expect on the trip, which is the point of releasing the video
