My computing needs are very basic. So I'm using my Red iPhone SE 2022 for the absolut basics like Texting, Calling, Music and Podcasts and very minimal Social Media usage. Everything else like watching TH-cam or doing longer Web-Searches, is done on my Chromebook. I've done that for almost a year now and it works great for me

I like how intentional you are about how you use technology. I’m probably like you, I don’t need fancy feathers on my phone, as long as it meets my daily needs!
Also, I still use only my iPhone 8 and SE 2 to film and edit all my YT videos and the camera qualities are amazing!

If you’re buying the one with 90-100% battery health, this phone will be a good one! If the battery is too low like if it’s a used one and under 80% or so, you might regret so just a heads up!
@@mymatchalatte77 So the ones I have seen not many have ones with battery health over 90 but all of them are above 80 and some have like around 86 87... Ig it shouldn't be a prob right. If like in a year the battery is weak we can replace it so I think it shouldn't be a prob. Planning on using the for some apps like Quizlet and for Google maps when I need to travel for classes so I think it should be good. Thanks for replying
I think it should be fine and like you mentioned, you could have your battery replaced if you experience the worsening of it like I did! :)
I have the iPhone SE 1st gen as a secondary device although no longer supported by Apple it’s still a charm to use:).

I just bought the 12 model of these phones haha but honestly feels pretty smooth and new to being 4 years old almost
iPhone 12 seems like a nice model as well! As long as the latest iOS will be supported for 3-4 more years, I don’t mind getting “older” models either!
Screen is too small. So small some sites don't work. 12 Mini is the perfect screen size _and_ is physically smaller thanks to no bezel.

It's a shame that iPhones won't recognize an unofficial battery because like you mentioned, there's no way to know my current battery health anymore:( But I have to say, it was totally worth it having my battery changed because I feel like my phone still performs like a pretty new phone!

What is your battery health on the phone. If I don’t mind asking
Actually, I’m not sure because I had my battery replaced at an electric store (not Apple), so my iPhone doesn’t recognize unfamiliar battery:(
But if I had to guess, it’ll probably be in the 90s because it’s been only a year since it’s replaced!
After using my mom's iPhone 7 Plus for a little while I started to tolerate iPhones much more (before that I hated them) and now when iFixit killed contract with Samsung iPhones are even more tolerable which makes me think of **maybe** getting one as my next phone (my main now is Redmi Note 10 Pro)

Well, even though my SE 2 is over three years old, the battery isn’t. I had it replaced about year ago at a local electronic store and that’s probably why!
I wasn’t sure about putting an unofficial battery at first, but it was totally worth it!
One thing I noticed with your phone is the battery life, it’s pretty impressive! How did you do that? I follow the 20-80 rule but there are times when I find myself charging my phone twice a day. Would love some tips ❤ Thank you!

I actually had my battery replaced a year ago, so just the battery itself is only a year old whereas my phone is three years old. That’s probably the prime reason it lasts longer.
But if I’d share with you something I do to keep my battery longer, my screen is almost always pretty dark and I turn off most of the notifications off so whenever I get one, it doesn’t turn on my phone automatically!
Also, it’s probably not fair to say that my battery is good because I didn’t do any intense work with my phone on that day like filming and editing videos😅

Hii there, i saw you were asking about pros of having 120hz on a phone. First thing being extra smoothness while scrolling, opening share menu, switching between apps and swiping between homescreens. For gamers who play online shooter games, 120hz helps players to spot opponents and aim at them easily and overall reaction time is much better if you play high fps like 90fps or 120fps. And lastly battery will last a little longer as the phone ramps down the refresh rate based on what you are doing which leads to consuming less battery consumption while watching videos or reading a webpage. But here is the thing if you never used a 120hz panel and you are happy with your current phone then there is absolutely no need to upgrade for 120hz. Extra smoothness is only noticeable when you use a 60hz and 120hz phone side by side or when you go back to 60hz or phone after using 120hz for a while. But considering the price you have to pay for that feature on iphone side, i would not recommend it unless you are gamer or you really want to experience ios on 120hz. Ios is already very smooth for what it is even on 60hz. I upgraded from an iphone 11 to 15 pro max just for 5g capability and 120hz. Although i love the experience with my new phone, i do not see much difference apart from smoothness while scrolling, better ram management because of 8gb ram compared to my iphone 11. I could have easily used my iphone 11 for 2 more years but its just that i really wanted to experience 120hz. I hope i helped you clear your doubts regarding 120hz. Your videos are so calming btw keep them coming.

Well, I’m a super beginner, so I may not be the right person to ask about how to study, but what I do everyday is jotting down what I did each day in short sentences in French, looking up pronunciations, and recording myself reading out loud.
I also watch TH-cam channels like “Français avec Nell” and “The perfect French with Dylane” with French subtitles!

If you’re on a budget, the SE 2 is definitely a good one to choose, if you don’t mind a relatively small screen and bigger bezels! I personally think it’s still totally usable and relevant to this day😊

although the battery percentage has dropped to 79% but it gives me around 3-4 hours in 1 charge if i am not much on calls (due to my work nature) but it drains faster when i have calls or text alot

I was actually worried at first too, but I haven’t experienced any problems with the non-Apple battery so far! It was way cheaper and easier than getting it done with Apple, so I think it was worth it, at least for me.

Good vid. I have the SE3 and for the most part it's great, I use it on my runs instead of a GPS watch since I can just palm this no problem as compared to the newer bigger models. The only drawback I have is the battery life, I heavily use the phone for music streaming in the car and as a hotspot device for my laptop whenever I'm in school or studying outside, which drains the battery big time, it doesn't help that the standby time on this phone is not great compared to even the iPhone 11. I have to charge this at least once throughout the day, to which I carry a mini powerbank for. Regardless, I love the SE, it suits my lifestyle and my use cases as someone not big into taking photos or social media, the display is good, performance is great, and the compact size and light weight makes it an excellent tool for me.
Been using it for almost 2 years now, my battery life is at 85% which sucks but I find that the phone charges rather quick with its small battery capacity. I do not plan or replacing it anytime soon, probably just replace the battery once it dips below 75%. Might consider the SE4 after a couple of years, but until then, until then, this phone remains one of my best purchases for value.

As you said, the battery life of the SE series is not the best, but I sometimes carry a power bank with me like you do just in case the battery drains.

That’s what I’m concerned too:( Journaling digitally is very convenient but it has its own limits pros and cons, especially the security and privacy issues.
I personally sacrificed that risk for convenience and keep using the digital journal😅
Instead of typing your old journal onto the journal app on your phone can you just take pictures of the pages and attached the pics on the digital journal? This way you can still have the visual of what the pages look like.
I was thinking about that at first, but the problem is that my handwriting in my journals are HORRIBLE 😂 Even I have hard time reading and understanding what’s written haha
So I’m gonna take extra effort to enter them manually, which is probably gonna be a life-long project!😂

I think the one for public is not released yet! Only for developers now?
@@mymatchalatte77 there’s a website you can go and sign up for the free developer beta. Then it should appear on your iPhone update menu. You can find TH-cam videos on how to do it. Just back up your phone and take precautions because it’s still a beta.

been using se2 since early 2021 and that's all i need as my primary device. it sits at 80% battery health probably be replacing it with se3 or se4 when apple rolls se4 out in 2025. se2 is one beast of a compact phone, always had problems with big display phones im happy i found the right phone for myself. even with 80%BH, I Get 4-4:30 hrs of screen time with 90%+ charge. it held up well, much better than i expected.
I love the SE 2 for the same reason with you! It’s simple and portable.
Do you think you will still upgrade to the SE 4 even if it doesn’t have the home button and if the size is bigger?
@@mymatchalatte77 I really do like the Touch ID and SE2’s Pocketproof design But I’m looking for an upgrade. If Apple keeps SE4’s screen between 5.4-5.8” design then i would have no problem adjusting because i have handled my best friend’s iPhone 13 mini which is 5.4” and My sister’s iPhone X which is 5.8” i think so no problems there. After using 1st SE ( 2017-2021 ) and now SE2 i feel like this lineup suits me the most. I did consider buying Galaxy S23 base model earlier this year But didn’t like it even though the phone was genuinely good so yeah Waiting for SE4 and what it brings to the table.

in December mine will turn 4 years old. this little phone is AMAZING the only thing is of course the battery, but i can’t complain, because it’s served me well for almost 4 years. i think of getting the iphone 16 when it releases

Actually, the battery I have right now is not the original Apple one anymore because I had it replaced at an unofficial electronic store last year.
I was experiencing worsening battery about two years after I got this phone, so I needed it to be changed.
I wasn’t sure about installing an unofficial part on my phone, but my new battery has been doing surprisingly well!

I’ve really been enjoying my SE 2022. I had the SE 2020 but it broke because it was refurbished.
I'm thinking about getting the SE 2022 after this phone! Do you feel any difference between the SE 2 and 3?
@@mymatchalatte77I would say that the battery is much better and can get me through a full day whereas the 2020 version would get me through half. 5G is present so the internet speeds are much better, and it doesn’t really affect the battery. And it will get at least 2 more updates, and it is so much faster and more responsive which I instantly noticed. Keep up the amazing work, I love your videos and I see u getting heaps more subscribers❤🎉.

I know it sounds strange, but maybe you could do an accesorising video of your iPhone 4, like case, screenprotector etc. Maybe you could also jailbreak and install some tweaks for modernising it?
I can’t promise 100% if I can make that kind of video, but your ideas sound very interesting! Because my iPhone 4 is so old and won’t even last 5 minutes without constantly changing, so it might be a problem, but I’ll consider!

Maybe you could get the battery replaced, you Gould get one for pretty cheap from a local store, i know it sounds like a lot, but since you put a lot of effort into your vids, so here are the things that you could do, battery replacement, back panel replacement, case, screen protector, and latest software update as well as jailbreak with some tweaks, also please tell me the software version of your iPhone 4 so I can recommend you some good tweaks, be careful while jail breaking, you could accidentally brick your device, hope you take my ideas into consideration!
Thanks for suggesting that option! I didn’t even think about that. I know a good electronic store nearby that probably would fix my iPhone 4! If that works, I’ll definitely make a video about it. But I’m not sure what iOS is running on that phone:(

Battery life?
I had my battery replaced at a local electronic store a year ago, so there's no way to know my current maximum battery capacity because iPhone doesn't recognize any unofficial parts:(

My maximum battery capacity had gotten down to like 82% after two years of use and the battery drain was pretty bad. For example, just streaming music on Spotify with the phone turned off made my battery drain from 80% to 30% in three hours or so

As far as the battery life goes, I think my iPhone 8 is better than this one because my 8’s battery health is still 88% after five years (no battery replacement)!
