I’m really liking these triple shots more and more! I really like your demonstration of these too…you give a good bit more variety than just the ambient stuff. I’ve got the MIM Player Series maple fretboard strat. Leaning heavy towards getting an SD Pearly Gates in the bridge tho. And possibly looking at Dimarzio True Velvet for middle and neck single coils. I know probably unreasonable but if I could get a head to head comparison to something like that vs Tripple Shots/Grinder would be pretty huge. I like the ambient delays that the Lambertones offers…but at the end of the day I’d still like the strat to do “Strat stuff” if needed. Church playing examples how I’m looking to have mine set up: 1. Big Church - delay style 2. Hole the wall church - bluesy/rock/country /dry sounds style. Just hook up to an amp w/no pedals and go type. 3. R&B Style Gospel - (R&B style/Funk/Blues) *I REALLY LOVE the ambient delay stuff but if it can’t do #2 & 3 all that good it’s no good to me. *Also would love to hear a sound demoing the Strat - Grinder/TSS played dry just through an amp style.
Appreciate video! I'm buying a loaded Lambertones Pickguard for my Cory Wong strat, and wrestling with the Crema vs Grinder. I have a Tele, LP, and P90 guitar... so I'm torn if I want to keep the Strat like flair of the Crema, or go Grinder and have a closer PAF sounding Humbucker.
Thinking about swapping the pickups in my satin semi hollow Vela to a grinder and either a lamber’tron or ristretto and wondering what your thoughts are. Thanks! P.S. enjoyed the playing in your demo.
Thank you Nate! Love those Vela's and other S2 style guitars. I've owned 3 of them. The S2, and two Starla's. I think the Grinder/Ristretto combo would be sweet!
I was interested in doing this set up in a guild, Surfmaster deluxe, But after hearing you say, HSS (hum bucker, single coil, single coil) I really want to try a hum bucker , a mini hB, and a single coil - For the reason that I can call my guitar an (HMS) Obviously, the HMS shredder, would have to be in navy blue
@@ZachBrobstMusic nice to hear! and thank you! My guitar tones are way too loud and twangy but I havent played worship music with a group in a few years, so im used to louder ruder rock tones. I would love to get a nice white sg like rosetta tharpe for gospel music personally.
You said at the beginning the triple shots have a mid range scoop but in the conclusion says they give good midrange to the strat player. Sound contradictory
@@ZachBrobstMusic oh ok I see what you’re saying. Do you think mid scooped sound is a characteristic though? I think it’s more common in start pickups to be mid rangier than scooped.
@@ZachBrobstMusic roger, I see. And I guess everyone’s experience may be different which is the beauty of it all. Thanks for the clarification man appreciate it, your videos definitely helped in me doing research for getting new pickups.
Have the exact set in an old MiM Strat. Brought it back to laugh. And I'm glad I chose the grinder over the crema. Love that extra punch!
Great video! I have this set coming for a partscaster build and even more excited about it now.
Incredible man! You'll love them. They made my strat so much better

Can’t find the video comparing the triple shot grinder vs triple shot Crema video you talked about linking in the video.
Linked the wrong video. 😬 Here you go dude!

I have tried both and really enjoy the Grinder flavor in the bridge pickup!
Nice video! Did you try the Red Eye yet ?
I have not yet! Hoping to soon!

Thanks Zach! I was kinda thinking Ristretto.
Guitar looks and sounds absolutely sick
Love the backseat lovers parts!

sounds pretty gnarly dude! I've always wanted to try, but never have, a mini bucker!
Sounds great
Really Warm sounds, less bright and fluttery as a normal strat
that's more of a "me" thing than the pickups. I prefer warmer strat tones and my amps are dialed in that way!

Heck ya dude! That’d be sick!
I want one of those gold top Les Paul’s!
triple shot or v60lp or v63?
Hmmm.... V63s with the SSV or Triple Shots with the Grinder would be my go to
Hi, it would be more intreresting to hear same demos on a real amp. Hope you will make something like that.
Noted!
What is a Millimeter?
a unit of measurement we use in the states! Should be equal to one thousandth of a meter.
You said at the beginning the triple shots have a mid range scoop but in the conclusion says they give good midrange to the strat player. Sound contradictory
It's a little tricky because the pickups do have a mid-range scoop but that scooped sound is a characteristic that's popular for strats.
@@ZachBrobstMusic oh ok I see what you’re saying.
Do you think mid scooped sound is a characteristic though? I think it’s more common in start pickups to be mid rangier than scooped.
@@aux-box it might be! From my experience with 60s style strat pickups, most of them are more dipped in the middle.

Wanna sell me your Strat? lol sounds great
hahahah if you would've asked me before I swapped pickups, yes!
