Can you imagine? Today ants attacked my sx 700 as well. But no any fault, I just saw ants coming out from a speaker mesh. I dissassembled the keyboard and checked, everything is ok till now. I wiped internals with a rag put in cinnamon mixture with water. Ants hate cinnamon and its smell, therefore they leave that area. You can also use this method to avoid ants attack to you equipment or your kitchen.
Yes Yamaha makes experience keyboards but carrying cheaply China made plastic type key beds for the past 10 years or more for PSR S models which is shame and degrades the Yamaha keyboard. Values Yamaha must fix this issues

I had a bad experience with keyboards and ants, so I put baby oil on the legs of the stand and cables where ants could access. Found out ants hates baby oil, it's better than insecticide as its non toxic.

Yamaha Geno's has also poor keybed .... Yamaha needs to give better quality for the price they're asking for thers bords....I'm also an Yamaha fan.....but I'm sorry to say keybed for Yamaha in general is inferiors ,some pianos of Yamaha have good keybed but just a few .... arrangers have poor quality
Some keys make weird noise... 3 keys are together. Also lost some styles since these keys started having issues. The style will show but as soon as I select it it goes away. Also makes that same sound when I play any style with kick in it.. I just recently updated the firmware also but the problems continue. Any help you can render or advice ?

I have a 30-year-old Korg 01W, and it has never had a dead key problem. I only need to lubricate the keys once every 5 years, or so. The key action on the Korg 01W has a Yamaha logo and it's fine.. And yet, the keys on my 2-year-old Yamaha keyboard are dying and I have to open the keyboard to clean the key contacts like in this video. What's going on? Did Yamaha invent a new, poorly thought-out keyboard design like the butterfly keyboards on Macbooks?
good day sir, I'm from Slovakia, are the rubber bands you gave 5 rows of 13 articles? because I know that the keyboard has 61 keys, did you cut the ones you overpriced, of course, it is not published in the video, because it only looks like one row of 13-link rubber, and the other 4 rows of 12-link rubber, is that right? because I want to fit the original rubber exactly on the sx, I only carry genos and tiros. Sometimes the rubber only need cleaning with alcohol. I usually swap the rubber contact strips the ones in the middle with the ones at the ends as the middle ones are mostly used whilst the ones at the ends are used less. This is to compensate for wear of the contacts.
Sometimes the Carbon of the conductive will damaged due to 🐜 ant eaten. So it must be change as new. No use when the alcohol or any cleaning solution when used

Psr sx700 and especially 900 are too expencive keyboards for this low quality keybed.
On yamaha s700 I couldn't remove the keyboard keys. There are fixed. When I try I would brake them. 😢

My psr e463 had dead key issues within 2 months of purchase. Luckily, it got okay when i cleaned the board with cleaning alcohol.
