Lennard, your video made a huge difference on my site. I was able to get a 100 page score, and I asked WP Rocket for a refund on the plugin that I purchased from them yesterday, and the plugin only got me a score of 58. Thank you so very much, for your time and information.
Hi Lennard, nice tutorial I went from 43 to 69 following most of your recommendations. I could increase my speed rating again by "optimizing" Elementor, thanks to the Page Speed Insight I found out it was the issue. I might use asset cleaner to clear up the useless remaining scripts loading in my page. Can it create some conflict with the optimization already done ? Huge thanks, keep those kind of videos it's amazing ! And the summary on your website provide all the tools that's great !
Hello Maxence, thanks so much for your kind words. I assume you mean that plugin? wordpress.org/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/ I did not hear about it before but it seems to a great addition to my tutorial. The developer of it says it works best with WP Super Cache but I am not sure how well it works together with Autoptimize. Could you give it a try and then share your feedback with me? Do it on a staging site first and you can not break anything;-) I might come up with an additional video about WP Asset clean-up because it looks very promising when I look at the total stunning reviews😲
@@wpstaging Hi, I tried it, Autoptimize and Asset Clean Up work perfectly together, the optimization already done via Autoptimize are already ticked in Asset Clean Up. Unfortunately I could not help me that much to eliminate the render-blocking ressources remaining. I'll work on a solution since it's the most common issue I'm facing on all the wp I work for. Regard !
@@maxfxch In Autopimize plugin there is the "defer" option for javascript. You can try this out to load the js code non-render blocking. If a script does not work with this option add it into the exclude input field. I hope this works. Cheers

I have a shopping system with a lot of dynamic content. Is there something special I need to take care of when activating the WP Super Cache? I just want to make sure that activating the cache does not interrupt the check process. Thanks so much🙂
Hi, when you use WP Super Cache with a shopping system like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads I recommend that you exclude the checkout page from the caching process and keep it dynamic. Also activate the WP Super Cache option "Don’t cache pages with GET parameters." Let me know if you need further help.
Hi, Lennard. Thanks for this tutorial, it has really helped, however, an image from my homepage has vanished, but the content (text) is still there. Maybe there's a conflct with another plugin which I still need to figure out. That being said, are these two plugins mentioned by you compatible with either Asset Cleanup or even WP Cloudfare Super Page Cache plugin? I think they might not be compatible with WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache, but might be, with Asset Clean up. Could you kindly advise on it? I've already subscribed to your channel as it help me improve my speed a lot. Thank you
Hey Vin, If it's only one image that varnished I don't think it's caused by a general incompatibility. First of all I would purge and refresh the cloudflare cache and if that does not work, disable it temporary to see if cloudflare is causing the issue. I'd also disable Asset Clean Up to see if this fixes it. As a last step you can check the source code of your website by pressing F12 and then checking the status code of the missing image. Are you able to open the image when you add the complete path to it in the URL bar?
@@wpstaging Thanks so much for getting back. I really appreciate all the help. Will try out what you've suggested and get back later. Looking forward to watching more helpful tutorials from you. I already deleted cloudflare cache as well as asset cleanup before following your tutorial. I think I might have done something wrong elsewhere. I can always delete the section and add it again as I'm using Elementor Avato plugin, which as you know, comes with free kits and sections for all pages. I, do, however, find Elementor slowing down my website. I need to start using Gutenberg soon. If I do switch, I'm gonna have to do it carefully as it can break my website - let's see how things go. Thank you once again for the help.
Thank you, Lennard. This is a great tutorial. I was able to speed up my WordPress site from a 69 to a 93 page score🤘 I've sent you a link to my website on your contact form. May I ask you to have a look at it and let me know if there is something else I can do to increase the page speed even further? Cheers

Wow, a page score of 100 is really impressive. It's very hard to get 100 points. Thanks so much for your feedback.
Thank you.
Very good tutorial, Lennard! I've been using Wordpress for years and these tweaks have had some of the biggest improvements to my sites.
Thank you so much 🥰
