Hello I got a question regarding changing the permalinks, I created a new WP site on the stagging site and want to push it live soon, everything is new, new pages and deleted the old one, how do I lauch this site without loosing the backlinks? How do I redirect the pages b4 or after the lauch? Or while launsching it? how do I make sure I dont loose important backlinks

Hello. Is the production website adress stay the same after the push ?

Please advise me. I received a notification to update my woocommerce database while I was on the staging site. While the update was runniing I realised that the staging site and the live site share the same database. Will the database update affect the live database as well. I know the tables have different prefixes but are the staging and live not sharing certain database components.

Hi Lennard thanks for the video, really good and self explanatory. I have a question, apart from orders you need to sync to staging too customers right? I expect that tables in production with orders is related with the "users" table so you have to do this with users table too? Thanks!

So far, I'm not having any luck with this. I keep pushing the changes of the staging site to the live site and it all looks good, the plugin tells me the changes were pushed successfully, but when I visit the live site and reload it in various browsers, it still shows the original production site that doesn't have any of the changes I applied in the staging site. edit: Wow, nevermind, despite having disabled my cache plugins, the site apparently still used their leftover caches to display the site. After re-enabling them, clearing the caches and reloading the page, everything works now.

On initial view, it looks like *three* plugin installs are mentioned in the video? That's just not something I'm going to do. The less plugins on a site the better. Adding plugins will always add to adding more potential problems from speed to breakage to hacking.

Method 1 was simple Method 2 was missing some explanations.

I agree with Ric Mann about your video speed. If you actually speed it up just a little bit more, the content will become one big long word. Then no-one will understand.

Please don't feel you need to either speed up the playback of you videos or talk quickly. A natural pace is much more enjoyable. Life is not so short that something worthwhile needs to be rushed (To be honest I can't stand being rushed !! :)

hello, is it possible to clone a staged site from the main wp-admin? i tried it once with selection the tables to clone from the staging site, but the new site only gives me an error for connection to database.

Is Importing WooCommerce Orders can recalculated stock?
