Never knew how easy it was to swap em out till now. Thanks alot
You got it bro, appreciate you watching..
I wish I had friends like you guys, good video bro!
It’s definitely a blessing, appreciate bro..
I installed the same yukon duragrip in my silverado with 3.42. Its holding up well with zero noise or issues. I babied it for a while until I was able to get that break in oil changed out. It says to change out after 500 miles but i let it slip to 1500 but was taking it easy. I think most of the bad reviews on amazon come from install error.
I agree! I’ve babied mine for the first few hundred miles, works flawless haven’t had any issues!
Looking to get one on Amazon has multiple options do I need carrier kit?
@@BRED23 yes you do
Bro’s Spanish is on point 🤘🏼🤣
What are you running for the front wheels? Love the deep dish steel wheels
Use the old seal to install the new seal .
2000s GM trucks come with G80 dude. I had LSD from factory on a 2000 single cab shorty with 5.3 4L80e trans oilcooled 4x4, until my dmbazz uncle did a dirty burnout and blew the diff. I still put a G80 and its awesome but I broke the axle and now I have to change the whole assembly🫡🤙
Lol hopefully it works out for you bro. Yupp they do mine had a g80 as well but as you know when you push them they tend to break break that why I went with a Yukon.
Nice hey from Deep South Texas 956
The Miata though 😯
yup the lil NA miata lol its supercharged !
Where yall located bro? Good job plan on doing this soon
Dumb question bro, do some come pre put together? I don’t have a press and stuff. But great video!
No worries bro, but not that I have seen most of them you need to press new bearings on. I’m pretty sure If you take it to any shop they help you press them on for a small charge.
@@ErikRose_ Cool bet, Appreciate it bro!
❤
how about highway speed? my z28 78 have originally installed and its feel slow at highway speed
Was it a 11 spline or 12 spine pinion gear
Doing 411 with 4l80 swap. Boost and DOD delete. Turbo cam. Hopefully will be good..
sounds like a solid set up 🔥
did y'all had to heat up the ring gear to fit on the LSD? or was it just straight through? Because I'm thinking to do a LSD on my silverado.
No, you do not need to heat it up. You just need to install it and tighten the bolts evenly to draw it up and then tighten to spec.
What type of diff fluid did you use ? And did you flush it after some miles ?
Vavoline 80w-90 Gear oil
A bro I'm upgrading my 342s to 410 getting the whole yukon kit is it hard to do ? I know I need to set Pinion gear and shims but is it a hard job
If you have all the right tools and an extra hand to help you its not that bad at all bro, its more time consuming than it is hard!
What rear end gear do you recommend for a RCSB 4100lb street/strip turbo 5.3 with a 6/700whp goal (Will be going 4l80e)
Don’t mind going 2400-2800ish rpm at 70mph
Have stock 3.42 at the moment
this is very similar to what my truck will be, my truck has 3.73 which ive heard are ideal for boost but 3.42 isnt too bad either 👌
@@ErikRose_ i heard the 4l80e has a long first gear and can be sluggish. I do see a lot of turbo builds on 3.73 but it’s not a big jump from the 3.42s
Think a 3.90 or 4.10 will be overkill? It will be my weekend truck.
Or perhaps go 4.10 while I’m still n/a then go 3.73 when i buy the turbo kit
Did you just end up using the factory shims or did you add a few on either side?
I just used the same factory shims, haven’t had any issues.
the factory shims are solid spacers both left and right. If you change carrier you will more than likely need an adjustable super shim kit for each side in order to get your backlash back to spec.
@@jamesfarmer2748 yea ive done this sometimes it work sometimes it wont pan out so well
Dude sprayed painted on the street haha
street already black 🤷♂️😂
How do you get it to slide like i put the lsd in but im scared to like doughnut but i burnout and it works fine
put it on 3 and step on it lol
So the G-80 was worn out? they are pretty good if not broken.
No the G-80 was working perfect, I just wanted a limited slip differential for more fun lol
The g80s like to explode if you push them, mine did so im going for an lsd
@@joew7882 yup they do, mine was fine but i knew it would blow eventually so I just did it, get that LSD !
Can you drop the link bro for the posi
link for everything ?
Tengo la fortuna de tener una amigo que también me al

could you put the link to it for this type of truck. i can't find it.
yessir gotchu my boy!
Yukon Dura Grip Limited Slip... www.amazon.com/dp/B003O755NS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Will it be the same strength on both sides or will t be stronger on one side only
yessir same on both sides !
How long did it take yall to install it?
Not to long like 2 hours
How is the diff holding ? Is it worth getting ?
So far great no issues.!
Any updates?
How does it feel with the bolt on c notch??
Honestly bro its solid, depending on how low you go you might need some decent bump stops other than that i havent had any issues. Im forsure gonna weld it later though for the long run!
@@ErikRose_wassup Erik went with the bolt on now I’m on to air bags keep up the good work brotha I need to catch up on your videos 💯💯
I have a question I have a g80 diff and Ik it’s limited slip what’s the difference between the Yukon and my stock one?
Yours is a mechanical lock which has tabs that lock up with speed and disengage without. Some people claim that they can break and fall apart which is why I went with the Yukon. The Yukon uses clutches to engage rather than a mechanical lock.
@@ErikRose_ thank you for clarifying !
No problem bro
Does your lsd make like a roaring sound when driving ?
No, no noise at all.
@@ErikRose_ how did you set your backlash ?
Honestly, we just threw in the factory shims and it’s be great. But the proper way would be to use a dial indicator and shim it with the proper spacing and using the yellow paste until you get the right engagement into the ring gear.
How’s it holding up ?
still solid haven’t had any issues 👌
Will this work on a 2006 4 door
yes should be pretty much the same thing if its 2wd !
I don’t have g80 on my 03 Chevy Silverado 1500 could I still install this limited slip?
yup they all pretty much have the same compatibility you should be good bro ! 👍
I installed the same 7.5 in my cutlass and on the first intital drive I beat the frame outta that rear end no need to baby anything that thing is good 2 go outta the box I’m pushing 500hp outta that rear end with 342 gears
damn 500! thats gives me alot more confidence lol! Im no where near that type of power yet, but yeah mine is still going strong 👌
What's the part number for the bearings you used?
gotchu its under - CKGM8.6
@@ErikRose_ alright thanks 👍 because I ordered ones that were smaller.
Any mods to get c clips in
No mods at all you just need a decent magnet to get them out.
@ErikRose_ how do you go about putting the c clips back in with the springs and plates in the way?
Hows it feeling after a year?
Still holding up great no issues.
@@ErikRose_ what else have u put into the whip ?
@@ErikRose_ i got a similar one im working on a 2001 single cab but idk if i should go for rigid axle or yukon
@@ErikRose_ how does it feel when accelerating at high speeds?
Quite a bit since that video, I’ve done a cam, headers, trac bars, e85, E-fans, head studs, and some other stuff and about to boost it. Honestly it feels good at high speeds. I know some other people have their biased opinions on the Yukon but it’s been good to me so far. I heard some pretty good things about Eaton tru tracs as well if you would want something a little more decent.
Se necesita hacer tunning or not?
What do u want for them lift
already sold it bro lol
Part # ?
Got mine on Amazon should be cheaper there!
Manufacturer Part Number - YDGGM8.5-3-30-1
How much that LSD cost you?
About $360 bro ! I’ll paste the link to the one I got!
Yukon Dura Grip Limited Slip Positraction Unit for GM 8.5"/8.6" Differential with 30 Spline Axle, 2.73-And-Up Ratio, YDGGM8.5-3-30-2 a.co/d/iCMQtGl
Just put the bearings in the oven at 250 degrees and put the diff in the freezer. Bearings will slide right on maybe just a tapmof your hand required. Future reference my boy.
Damn never knew that thanks for the info my boy! 🔥
@@ErikRose_ yessir.
Is this a 4x4
nah 2wd !
Lmfaoooooo weakkkk
Was it a 11 spline or 12 spine pinion gear
