  • You'll be surprised to learn how much color influences our moods, our choices, and our lives.
    Riley Johnson is a junior in high school and loves acting, drawing, painting, and writing. When it comes to art, she frequently uses color psychology to achieve certain effects with her pictures. She hopes you all find a topic as simple as colors to be interesting.
    This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    She was super super nervous, but did it anyways. Props to her for this. Brave move. Would love to hear her explaining a little bit more in a more calm and less stressed state.

    It takes courage to stand before an audience and talk about a topic. She did very well, and she managed not to lose herself. A very interesting topic, I'd love to hear more from her !
    Bravo!

    I know I’m two years late to this video, but she did great! Very informative. You could tell she got a little frustrated with her mishaps, but that’s a lot of courage for someone to talk in front of a lot of people. Congratulations to her!

    You did it! Most people would rather be in the audience and don't have the courage to do the speech. Color is fascinating! Thank you!!

    Public speaking can and does make a lot of people nervous. It takes courage to do stuff like this while you are feeling nervous. Enjoyed the content of the presentation as well. Well done Riley!

    She did great! The topic is fascinating-- she is not alone with being nervous! Famous writers and authors are better at expressing themselves through writing, she may be apart of that group-- I know I am!! Yet she still got up on camera in front of a live audience and freakin' did the thang. Props to you Riley!

    Learning and previous experience with color accounts for a disproportionate amount of the variance in preferences for color and emotions.

    Great job. I would love to have someone do a study on me with the Bright color Construction Orange color. After 10 mins I get Nauseous, break out with cold sweat, and weak. It can take hours to feel somewhat normal again. When my mother was pregnant with me she had to throw out her Orange rug. She threw up every time she saw it. Then when I was 5 yrs old my teacher used Orange paper in the windows. I immediately got sick and went home. I told my mom about the color Orange, I couldn’t look at it and tried to move my desk completely around. She then told me about when she was pregnant with me. I would love for someone to find out why? It’s horrible. I get embarrassed by it. 😉

    I have a question if anybody can answer, I am trying to research something.. if you feel a certain way will it subconsciously change the way you see colors?

    • @simrah4271
      @simrah4271 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yaa it can
      let me give you an example
      So assume that you had a big fight with someone and you are in a angry mood now if you gonna see the colour red you will see that colour that represent aggression but colour red can also be used as a symbol of love
      But besides of feelings it can also be depends on environment around you like if you are in a angry mood but someone suprise you with room full of red balloons and a cake you will feel happy
      So in my opinion both things depend on each other
