Lorna's point on depression, nowadays I think you experience that when you're younger, I think it's also brought by the fact that most of us are forced to grow up and take care of ourselves way younger than normal.

Alcohol sedates, that's why you black out and alot of people confuse that with "deep sleep". Sedation is not sleep. It also affects the strength of the waves generated by your brain during sleep that help with memory that's why we have Korsakoff dementia in chronic alcoholics.

Guys, when you start gyming is when most of your physical traumas you've gone through in life surfaces. You mostly need constant muscle therapy( which muscles are 80%of your body) to get your muscles worked on to reduce tension from daily stresses of life. It's like getting your body serviced the way you get your car serviced. Let me know if I can help with some of these physical discomforts.

i can relate with the noisy knee thing when doing squats. The popping sound usually comes from air seeping into the soft tissue, finding its way into the area around the joint and causing tiny bubbles in the synovial fluid. When a person bends or stretches their knees, the bubbles can burst with a popping or cracking sound. It it is usually harmless .My hangovers are not as a result of heavy drinking but because i end up with severe insomnia. I limit my drinking to 2 drinks only.

Nice stuff... Truth be told we have evolved and it's high time we appreciate that fact and work around it to ensure our bodies don't disintegrate so fast.. So, one exercise is paramount, what we feed our bodies, and how we relate to life situations (mental health matters).
And to emphasize exercise should be specific and with the right instructor.
Also wished to come on board as a physiotherapist to talk about how our body reacts to exercise and how best to ensure best outcome.

Exercise helps your body release endorphins and there is more blood flow to more areas and you get less tired.
Also the older you get your gut digestion slows hence the intolerance to some meals.hence being intentional about what you eat is really important bea use you tend to feel like what you eat.

This is a very enlightening episode. I totally agree with your points. I would say that for me, I have learned how not to take things serious and let go of things I cannot control. However on the other side of this coin, I know what I want, I am not scared to ask for what I want and I know what my priorities are. This applies to all situations I am approaching. I also have boldness, without being rude, when I have a conversation. I said what I said mentality.

Jules there is a product named Actilife Women's Flora. It has 30billion CFU, 13 strains of probiotics, 9 lactobacillus and 4 bifidobacterium species. It also has cranberry extract and D-mannose to help with yeast and bacterial infections. It costs something between 850-1200 for 15capsules. You can find it in any chemist around Nairobi.

I have noticed there's quite a number of 20's ladies asking about hormonal contraceptives. Pls, be advised that hormonal contraceptives are not saviours for irresponsible sexual behavior. Infact, recent research shows that hormonal contraceptives actually harm/repress our sexual health as women. I know it sounds contrary to all you've heard in your life about 'You need contraceptives,' but sis, your mind and self-control is your best contraceptive. I promise you, you don't need it, and you ESPECIALLY don't need it if you're thinking to start because of your boyfriend. Actually, I thank my mom for advising me to not take them when I sneakily got a packet of the monthly ones when I was 22. She's a nurse and she told me to especially avoid them before I had had my first kid (if I ever decided to go that route). Long story short, your mind is your contraceptive. Consciously make decisions about sex, be ware of your cycle. Be smart. Choose your partners wisely. Do not let sex get you in trouble. It will not be worth it. Bless❤️
