He is so uninterested in being famous. But he's a philosophical anarchist with Bambi eyes and a voice like gold so it's kinda hard to leave this one alone :P
JeLeSaisTuMoé You're totally right, but you can clearly see that he has a huge stage fright. You can't blame hi for being shy, but you can blame him for always being drunk.
Fuck me this video is the reason I got into The Strokes. I had heard the track "Instant Crush" by Daft Punk and figured I'd check out where the vocalist came from (musically). This video was what popped up on the side for "Instant Crush." The moment this video started playing The Modern Age, I instantly got hooked to the sound. Then Last Nite. From there, that night I spotify'd Is this It and then it was a very smooth, yet accelerated, sail. Will never forget this video.
The Strokes are freaking awesome...glad you found them!! I've heard Daft Punk before, but I don't think I've ever heard of "Instant Crush". Just listened to it, and thank you!!! Loved hearing Julian's voice in a different way. And that music video...how fitting
Daniel Pearson they absolutely are!! I think they're currently my all time favorite band! And I'm really glad I was what helped you get to finally hear "Instant Crush" !! That song is really something else, man --you are completely right (about the music video)!
Hello. I only just saw this comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I made it when I was like 15 (I'm 20 now) because I hardcore loved The Strokes. I had no idea this got so many views!
So uh, am I the only one convinced Julian is a sex god sent to punish us for our sins by being too out of our reach with all his perfection and hilariousness?
He doesn't anymore, that's correct, but it was the drugs and alcohol that gave him (and apparently the rest of the band) the "I just don't give a fuck" attitude. ad Most of their performances usually benefit greatly when under the influence.... I use the music video for "Last Nite" as an example.
I was at the weenie roast when that happened. It was the most amazing day of my life even though that happened in the middle of one of my favorite songs from Angles.
@andyrawsyou "The Modern Age" It's on 'Is This It?'. Are you new to The Strokes or something? Lol, it's cool- keep listening to their stuff, they're amazing.
He is so uninterested in being famous. But he's a philosophical anarchist with Bambi eyes and a voice like gold so it's kinda hard to leave this one alone :P
louise ashbel this comment tho i felt it
that description omg love it lol
Nadav Guy probably the most accurate one i’ve seen lol
I thought he was just some edgy dude who liked writing songs
I mean you aren’t lying.
That chuckle he made before saying "I'm gonna shit on your floor" lmao
i love how julian is like freaking out and the rest of the band just doesnt even care
I swear that's been there dynamic and it pisses him off more😂😂😂😂
The show must go on 🤣
@@belzorahollow3888damn I miss Freddie
I just love it how Jules is always throwing his mic stand around haha
***** He's forever in the battle with the mic stand
TheAlbinoDude Halo Fan on a Strokes Video
You should just title this video: “The rest of The Strokes play while Julian Casablancas does something edgy”
It always impressed me how Fab, Nick, Albert & Nickolai don´t give a shit about what Julian says or do.
"I know this for sure, I wanna shit on your floor." is the best part.
"I'm gonna shit on your floor!"
"Did he just-"
"Yeah, man, just roll with it."
I don't know why I laughed so hard when he said "this bi*** said what?* 😭😂😂😂 so good
It's the what XD
Yeah same here 😂😂😂🤣
"I'm gonna shit on your floor"... I just died
that was hilarious, he even had a chuckle before saying it. lol
lmfao that part got me too
"This is your brain on drugs"
One word: Professionalism.
one word: rockstar
JeLeSaisTuMoé You're totally right, but you can clearly see that he has a huge stage fright. You can't blame hi for being shy, but you can blame him for always being drunk.
+Ivan Ovish He's been sober for many years now...
giisellegaalvan1996 I know that, but he still drinks at his concerts. But that's fine by me, its funny actually.
Does he? Well i love drunk Julian as much as the next girl does but i think he doesn't drink at all
i just love how all of the guys are so used to julians shenanigans, like "yes, i suppose he is gonna s**t on their floor"
"This bitch said what?"
this highlights how funny and insightful he is when he's not drunk. New era Julian is like a comedian. Old era julian was just a constant mess.
the strokes were so cool in the early 2000s. the atmosphere they brought was very 70's-esque and ahead of their time, simultaneously.
its funny how none of them laugh when he says all those stuff. xDD
theyre actually really good live
I really get why he's like this. That's what thier music is about, just having agood time.
2:51 this bitch said waaaaat? LOL best one
hey again
Marxer yoooo :D
he has the sexiest singing voice ever.
one week later julian destroyed a camera at hurricane festival :D

Same man I actually listened to Julians Solo album before hearing any strokes
Hello. I only just saw this comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I made it when I was like 15 (I'm 20 now) because I hardcore loved The Strokes. I had no idea this got so many views!
2:23 poor girl

3:52 "i know this for sure im going to shit on your floor.. yeah"
LMFAO!!
"im gonna shit on your floor" lmao
2:51 This bitch said WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? AJAJAJAJJA xDDDDDDDD
"Someone get them a switchblaaade"
I fucking love this band and everything about them...they are so fucking unique and spontaneous!!!!!! KEEP IT UP YOU ROCK GODS!
0:50 that's what happens to you when you throw a microphone stand
"this bitch say whaaa?"
2:52 "This bitch said what?!" xD
it seems like Julian's the only one being silly. the rest of the band is all 'I'm just gonna do my thing and let that kid be himself'
OH GOD I"M CRYING "So clooose, yet so far awaaay" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA What a tease!!!
Julien Casablancas is pure gold
But where is the most iconic....
NIKOLAI BROKE THE ZOOOOOM
I loved how Julian snapped at the end
1:57 "Someone get them a switchblade." Or a.........Razorblade
the modern age during the $2 bill performance....my favorite thing ever. thanks for making this =)
"So close, yet so far away" lol
3:05 get the giggles out bro, get the giggles out.
2:24 so so drunk. lol i dont think of him like that and i know he wasnt, well... maybe at the time :) still doing an amazing job haha
So uh, am I the only one convinced Julian is a sex god sent to punish us for our sins by being too out of our reach with all his perfection and hilariousness?

Still a better love story than twilight
At 2:08 that was FUNNY lol I literally started laughing.... Julian looked so dazed!
Haha "I'm gonna shit go your floor, yeah!"
I was at the weenie roast when that happened. It was the most amazing day of my life even though that happened in the middle of one of my favorite songs from Angles.
3:52 "I know this for sure, I'm gonna shit on your floor"
HAHAHAA love jules, love strokes, even if they become old I will still loving them
1:58 how awesome would it've been if he said 'razorblade' and then BAM they start banging into Razorblade. Like shit Jules, you had one job.
Love their songs and them this video made me laugh thank God
The Strokes - Is This It (Live from Bonnaroo 2011) is the same concert from the beginning clip, julian gets distracted i thought it was pretty funny.
Or when julian smashes the camera with the mic stand.
this is such a funny compilation, thanks!
3:50 You know what I'ed still have him over to my house.
love how he'scool about everything
"this bitch said WHAT?" lol
" lmao!that bitch said what?"
It was filmed at the 2 dollar bill concert. with a few other songs. They did a few songs twice at that concert to make music videos for um and stuff.
I was at the KROQ weenie roast and i was sooooo upset when his mic. went out! Your So Right is one of my favs in Angles! i but ahhhh i love him!
I fuckin love them all of them
to be honest..i want to see the old strokes back :(
I got good news for ya
"Awh SHIT"
as usual its all about the singer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my babies
It says right on the screen, "You're So Right"...
Why is he saying god damn you to the camera man? Was he the one making Julian laugh?
Julian hates mtv
Oh you forgot one where nick kicks over the Amp at The Theater at Madison Square Garden haha.
Julian rules! They're all cool! I saw the stokes in Albs, New Mexico at the Sunshine Theatre !!
Oh this helps me to wake up the call...I am dialing
"..and me? I aint ever gonna understand SHIT." - Julian Casablancas.
That about sums Life up. You'll never understand a damn thing.
I’m actually in this video.
"I'm gonna shit on your floor" - Julian Casablancas
More like "Julian - funny on stage moments" but funny nonetheless.
He kills me, SO FUNNY!
@SamsonOff7 Right now, Julian is 33 years old, Nick is 31 years old, Albert is 31 years old, Nikolai is 33 years old, and Fabrizio is 31 years old.
2:04 he's drunk.... :p
If i was at the 2 dollar bill concert i would've gotten on that stage a jump on Julian
Lol! thanks for this!! love the strokes!!
not on my floor!
young aggressive julian is so bad ass
I guess knowing him 10+ years they tend to get used to it
2:24 FUCKING REFLEXES.
the last part was the best !!! was so funny
"raised in carolina. He said WHAT?!"
he's chubbin out
Julian is totally wearing the exact same SWAG he was rockin' on the Lettermen show LoL..... Just Saying frfr...
@ElectroKhid bonnaroo. it's a festival held in manchester, TN.
2:15 best part hands down!
Julian admitted to abusing drugs and alcohol up till 2006. Don't think he does anymore. So, yeah.
Make a part two!! :D
Spaceships, they wont understand
@andyrawsyou "You're So Right". It's on Angles
you should write in the title Julian Casablancas - funny on stage moments
julian is so charming.
You don't hear a voice like Julian's everyday
@andyrawsyou "The Modern Age" It's on 'Is This It?'. Are you new to The Strokes or something? Lol, it's cool- keep listening to their stuff, they're amazing.
I've always kind of compared it to that.
Fuckin' Julian.
