Outstanding review! I just purchased this laser a week ago and am totally new to laser engraving/cutting so I really appreciate your review of all the different materials. Still trying to understand the speed versus power to get either darker and or deeper engravings on materials. What settings did you use to engrave the glass? All I hear is you can't engrave glass or clear acrylic with a diode laser which is clearly not accurate ... thx again!

I'm looking to purchase this system for my wife but torn between the 40w and 20w options. What is your recommendation. Xtool currently has a bundle for the 40w that includes the 2w IR laser for small detailed engraving.
Hi, I'd go for the 40W as it covers all your bases. It's fantastic for both cutting and engraving. The 2W IR bundle is a great deal and that module is also fantastic for working with jewellery, raw metals, and plastics. The 20W module will not disappoint either, it all comes down to budget really :)
i see you have had this S1 for some 4 weeks now, any issues arrisen? i am looking at one however i have seen some negative feedback re after sales, delivery from Xtool, any comment? thanks
Thanks for your question! My experience with it has been excellent so far. Delivery was spot on and packaged very well. I can't speak to the customer support but judging by the website they have a community forum and chat functionality. If there are ever any issues I will make a video about it 👍🏻 if you have any more questions please let me know!
Im in Miami Florida, it took about a week and half , I ordered the S1package deal, I received several large boxes in a timely manner, and I just unboxed it today and ran some small test. It's everything this video says! I'm super stoked for future projects. Watching this vid was very helpful as well!
