Finally, someone honest in Australia that gives a fair and honest review of the super beautiful Peugeot 3008 GT. Well super done to you for such a great review. I'm getting the Allure on Monday.
I like this GT car reviewed here, but I've still got the 3008 1.6 hdi sport purchased at 24,000 miles. Its just coming up to 90,000 miles. Averages 56mpg nearly 60mpg on a long journey. Never broken down, needed injectors and DPF clean, but apart from that nothing. I find it comfortable and quiet. Nothing rattles. Yes, its ugly, and I could afford a new one but I just love driving it. Criticisms: Few, but 3 in the back is a squeeze. Legroom in the back is just about adequate too. (Previously had a Picasso so spoilt). A good all round workhorse. Best car I've ever had.
Just ordered mine (in UK too) the premium GTI in the automatic (as disabled) but as December probably won’t get it till end of May wondered how your finding yours? Only down side is & it’s a big thing for me can get a seat massage but the six way seat adjust & really needed that but have to have park assist due to my disability but couldn’t afford the over £1,500 to add the seats would rather have 6 way seat adjustment than the massage function but hoping that the seat position will be enough as they say due to steering wheel etc makes & supports you to drive in a more supportive position but if you see this would love to hear how your getting on & your thoughts.
I found our last 3008 diesel was a great car to own. It did 200k no problem at all. So this version must be epic if he reckons it is way better than the last 3008!
The 2.0L diesel is the best Peugeot engine by a country mile. Will just go forever. Just bought a 2022 3008GT HDi - last of the 2.0L diesels. Great car
I've got 1st generation 3008 hdi sport. Best car ever had (10 years old I've had it 7) 55mpg all day long. 84000 miles. Room in back could be bigger. Apart from injectors/ DPF clean, no problems.
Peugeot are making the best cars around at the moment, shame it is such an under appreciated brand in Australia but means great things for second hand buyers!! The 308 and this 3008 are both absolutely tops, and the E-Legend is nothing short of incredible.
Just had a look at the 3008 and 5008 in a local dealer. They have some good runout deals at the moment. I do wish these had AWD, but FWD still does OK in the snow and is fine for light trails im sure. Why anyone would buy a dull Mazda, Hyundai or similar over this is beyond me. At runout pricing this is a very compelling car, the interior feels like a 100k BMW or Mercedes and the exterior styling is sharp too. Why are most Australian's so ignorant? Peugeot have always been known for quality and exceptional ride comfort, and they've invested a lot in safety and build quality for their newer models from 2014 on. There is nothing to be worried of buying one of these cars now. Looking for a hatch? skip the boring old (and now too expensive) Mazda 3 and give the 308 a look, SUV then skip the CX5 or Forester and check out the 3008. I guarantee you will be impressed, I was.
you dont like the front end of the GT version , you shall look at the simple 3008 front end and then tell me that you still dont like the GT version front end ... Its the most aggressive one in this category. What is it ? qasquai that you like more than this one or vw tiguan or land rover evoque .. come on man be serious , do not review a car like a kid
watching this while being massaged in my 3008 GT oh and about the lag u talking about looks like u never drove it in sport mode cuz u didn't even talk about it and it's one of the big benefits of this car
Hi SFB The only people certainly in the UK who want 4 wheel drive are usually caravan owners or horsebox tow'ers.Maybe rural living require this but it's probably only ever used 10% in a year
The only thing that I didn’t like while driving it was the cruise control buttons/stick. And the thing that I liked the most was that it drives like a car and not like a SUV. Even the smaller engines have enough of punch to toss it around tight corners and steep hills.
The cruise control stick has been specifically designed to use by feel - without taking your hane off the wheel. My 2012 308 had the same system. Very easy to use.
The GT is 50k, $4000 extra for the sunroof and nappa leather. Good value for what you get though, no other SUV comes close to this. But boring Aussies will probably still go for a dull as dishwater Mazda CX5 or Subaru Forester, they don't know what they're missing! I'd even take this over anything from BMW/Merc/Audi, it absolutely kills their current offering on interior quality and styling.
6 speed auto .This car is now built with 8 speed Eat auto.Your car must be a 2017 early version as gearbox changed from this point? THE 1.5 Diesel does 51mpg real world
The versions available in Australia are usually 1-3 years behind what is available in Europe and Asia and with less choices, as carsguide is an Australian publication their reporting on the limited delayed specs in Australia 😟The only Engine choices here are the 1.6 petrol in all variants except the GT or the GT with only the 2.0 diesel. The Petrol is useless as it requires premium fuel that can sometimes be harder to find than an EV charge station and is more expensive than E10, Unleaded, or Diesel, so what you save if you don't buy the GT you will pay in fuel costs anyway.
Can anybody ensure me about the diesel motor of 3008 model please. Been year and half i am driving peugeot 3008 1.5 lt gtline 130 hp 2019 model. Some people gave me some negative comments about French cars. Now i am very much worried.

The front grill is great , it’s funny how we like the front grill on a Benz and we don’t like it on. Peugeot 😅
Hi Peter, what is like owning a 3008? I mean the reliability compare to Japanese cars and is it expensive to maintain?
Users in the UK rated the brand cars as the most reliable ones of all!!!

Yep, got 5008, it is SUPER CAR!
Why do car TH-cam presenters stand in front of the cars they are reviewing? The car is the subject.
May be a human being is the scale for the car. To show the height of the car.
So they can flex with it

Which Peugeot has a double clutch gearbox?
I think he meant the "automated manual" 5-speed box PSA cars used to have, it was absolutely dreadful.
Possibly. He does call himself a journalist though.
None anymore but the 4007 used to have one.
@@zerogeewhiz Oh the 4007 built by Mitsubishi?
s d that’s the one.
where do you buy that scooter from?
coolcattune it’s a Peugeot scooter and i think Peugeot dealers sell them.
saving up to get one

The lag in engine performance, and interior, the interior.. just ugly ugly ugly. Couldn’t get over it. It killed it for me when I was comparing suv
I think it's by far the best interior in the class, every other interior is drab and boring as hell.
