Was thinking of buying a goretex jacket and pants that seal together with a zipper at the waist boots and gloves, and have some kind of netting over the face on a hood that hangs out far enough for the rain to not hit the netting. That way I would be sealed up from rain and bugs and could go camping without a tent or hammock. And add more base layers or take them off and stuff them in a dry bag if I need to warm up or cool down. Bring a dog to deal with small annoying critters crawling on me while I sleep.
why not go outdoors in a big plastic bubble? that way you can always be comfortable and can completely separate yourself from nature and any form of mild discomfort. better yet, just stay indoors. no rain, no wind, no bugs, no light, no cold... sod that, maybe embrace it all more :) nice keeping dry from time to time but come on.. why even bother going out if not to experience it, good and bad?.
Wait.. So after watching this, I can see why my newest Gore Tex pro jacket cost $700.. But, if I’m being honest, I was expecting a younger more Asian workforce.. This video has only made me more curious.
after watching i can honestly say im not so sure my tupilak was worth 350 pound hahaha.. gretex is great stuff!! but not sure its worth that much haha.
Yes it works when new..once it’s been worn a few times it “wets out “ and this stops its breathability…and if it’s creased by being rolled up sat on etc it will leak & they won’t replace it..warranty is useless 😮

It's says it's air not steam, but I see your point. It looks like it does allow some air thru, but I can attest to the fact that vapor from sweating does escape, albeit not 100% but far better than a plastic poncho or something non porous.
To be fair.. It works much better as an under layer. I have a couple "cabella's" hunting coats that have a strong polyester on the out side that looks and feels like the texture of wool, the gor tex is next.. then thinsulate--- then a nice silky polyester lining. Best dang coats I've ever had, other than my sheepskin coats.. The one I'm referring to I believe is from the late 80's .. maybe early 90's.. not exactly sure. But it has a distinct darker green camo.. I seen 2 on ebay a few days ago, and they still cost $200 used..... my point is, the gor tex last much longer if it has a good outer shell on top of it.
Just got a gortex made cap and it survived my 10km walk fine. My head didn’t overheat. Let’s see the quality after a few washes lol
Bad review, didn't even use the hat as socks.
Thank - - you .
How much is a military Gortex Jacket worth? I've had 2 stolen from nursing home, just wondering.
£100-£1000
Save Lead. Use Gortex. Make perfect bodybags.
Gore Tex isn't nearly as breathable as promoted in real life situations.

What?
Why no one is making elegant shoes and boots with goretex (vegan and breathable)?
Vegan? Have fun eating your shoes 😂
You jackass. Vegan clothes means it was made without exploiting animals to make it. :P
There are gore tex boots
I have Goretex boots on as i write this. $150 Merrell hiking boots.
Just got my pair of Nike Gore-tex Air Force 1’s Lows
This factory sure has a lot of cute white girls.
It doesn't last
Idk , I have boots that are 15 years old and the gore Tex still does it’s job .
@@MrBlizzard769 That just means you only wear them once a month at the most.
That’s because you need to reapply the hydrophobic layer in the outside.
I concur. I have tested a brand new gore Tex to make sure. I think that they are good for splash proof
