Very similar conclusions to mine. I put one in my meteor a couple of years ago. On the noise, if you put your hand on the side panel when riding you can feel it vibrate. I've often wondered if some self adhesive engine sound proofing on the inside of the panel would reduce the noise a bit, if it matters.👍
Fitted the DNA on my classic 350, 3000 miles ago My conclusions?, mpg? There is no noticeable difference . Performance? a tad smoother pick up and yes much more intake noise. Got the cleaning kit and kept the original filter so I'm good for some time. Imho the biggest difference made is not the filter it's the open end cover. But if I was in India I'd keep the original backwards facing cover. Their roads can be super dusty
Hi Marc, nice video. If you want to get the best from the J series engine add a decat pipe with the silencer you have & a fuelx lite. As it stands, you now have more air going in the engine but restricted getting out. The fuelx will allow the engine to run cooler & more efficiently & with almost no difference in fuel economy. You should really start to feel the difference as the engine frees up after about 1500 K. Keep up the good work & ride safe. ☺
The filter is great but you can use the standard cover with it and reduce noise. Performance will be the same or quite possibly better. All about the pressure inside the airbox and the new open cover will possibly reduce that value.
Such a simple and (relatively) inexpensive modification to improve the performance. I put one in my Classic 350. Question: The windscreen is not a standard Royal Enfield product. Do you think it would fit on the Classic 350?
Thanks for the vid Marc. I was wondering if you would fit one to the Meteor after your experiences with the Classic 350 DNA. Be interested to see the fuel use changes over time. I just recently fitted the Hitchcocks cover plate on the standard air filter. Can't notice much performance difference, but definitely more induction noise on full throttle. I am still getting through run in period so haven't had it up to full speed yet, but had heard that this Aurora version of the Meteor has the speed limiter removed. But yet to see anyone try to get it above 120km/h.
Let's hope the engine doesn't seize up, while under warranty. Cause givin' it the beans up to a hundred km/h, after only 600 km's, isn't exactly what the handbook says...

So nice to see someone giving a Meteor some beans for a change. Shows it can go when you want it to.
Thanks for the review, will get a DNA air filter too.
I've always loved your reviews marc......
Thanks 🙂

Hi David, thanks a lot for your tips 👍
Always good videos.
I prefer k&n filters
Cheaper, better, and with many years in the industry 😊
Grazie Marc 😊
Great vid thanks for sharing.

It's the open cover, which makes the difference, you can notice it, when you use the standard air filter with the open cover.
@@curtis164 Time the acceleration you will find this to be untrue. Nice try.
@@danielleclare2938 Ride uphill and you will feel the difference with an open cover, pulls without stuttering.
On a dyno you get 1.5 hp more than with the standard filter and snorkel cover. th-cam.com/video/iMiRKPiuZBM/w-d-xo.html
👍👍👍
Plz try stage 2 free flow exhaust from Hitchcock's if possible what say.
These exhausts are not allowed in Germany 🙂
Could you please make a video of the extra lights you put on the slider? :D

The windscreen is only fitting to the Meteor 350

Still. no rocket ship, just a stuble improvement 😊

Hi Peter, I have to test the top speed after the run in period. :-)
@@Marc.Stonesim looking forward to it :)
Hi Marc, Goan Classic 350 seen already??? Regards Claus
Hi, yes, this one looks amazing 👍

Ist die Meteor mit dem DNA nicht zu laut für Polizeikontrolle/ TÜV?
Nein, das Auspuffgeräusch bleibt ja gleich.
@ Danke Marc
