Amazing 👍👍👍 Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 is a great country, so many mountains, rivers. I was also riding my bike on the side road through Kyrgyzstan on my way from Germany to 🇨🇳China by bike 🚴♂️💪
amazing footage so much respect for these racers.....it makes me want to push myself and not do it all at the same time........life changing experience im sure
the mix of bikes is what I find most interesting, drop bar gravel bikes, solid fork bike backing bikes, full suspension and hardtail trail bikes. I find it just goes to show that while there may be specialized niche category bikes, there really is no wrong bike, just what ever you prefer you and can make work.
Was literally thinking the same thing! Also people must choose to pack light, have a lighter gravel bike and get the job done quicker, against having full sus, packing more substantial and heavy food etc very interesting

The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Extraordinary achievement across the harshest terrian,huge altitudes for a yak let alone human on a bike,lack of facilities,fresh water,heat,cold.madness really but congrats 😊
Martin from the Czech Republic has his freehub break on him. You can zip tie the cassette to the spokes through the slots in the cogs. Then you can get the full fixie experience.
Where are the girls!?!? I am suprise that we only see (and hear) two women in the video. Jenny and Cat were definitely not the only ones to take part in the race....

That bike with the broken freewheel. I would rather fix the cassette to the spokes with cables ties or shoe ties and make it a fixed wheel bike than walk all the way

Beautiful areas (seen some of the '-stans' in other moto adv videos from Charly Sineway) but, only for the truly crazy and committed. Kyrgyzstan seems to be the only safe '-stan' of the bunch; all the others, not so much...
Has anybody in this community tried the Tannus Armour inserts? They should avoid most pinch flats, should be good for this crowd. I run them with lightweight Tubolito tubes (40g), so far so good.
Seems Kyrgyz people deem it inappropriate to battle the history, thus many soviet monuments. I think it is smart, unlike first world countries approach of today. Film is very good. The beauty, the people, the pain, the lows, the gutter. All the stuff.
I havent done much cycling...but would love to participate on this journey some day! Dont know if it will come true or not, just couldn't hold my slef from comenting
They pretty much all run tubeless to start with but if you damage the beadseat or get a bad sidewall cut, sometimes you still need to put in a tube. That's when the pinchflats start...
Can you make your content accessible by formatting the auto captioning into closed captioning? It is extremely hard to enjoy your content having to keep concentration on the auto captioning and not be able to see your content properly sadly

Riding at night is indeed stupid, you are forced to go slower and can't see much ahead of you. I will get 8 hours of sleep
and still do it in 12 days.
