To give you a little backstory Jun is fighting to wish his dead brother back and Shinji is fighting to wish his dead clan back neither of them are the good or bad guy they just wanna wish they're loved ones back

Since Jun clearly knows from the first fight that clones aren’t strong enough for Shinji, I’m thinking he just uses them to tire him out.
And distractions for him to get a good hit in
Assuming it works like the shadow clones from Naruto, the only use for them in fights with equals is to tire them out and cause distractions.
If hadn’t had the clones he wouldn’t be trash talking

The guy did the first one himself with a mouse but he did use stuff from Naruto, DBZ, and others. He took the part where time stopped and Yellow hit several Red clones from a Jet Li movie called The One, where Jet Li fought Jet Li. The second one took him three years to do and just yesterday he came out with a more story like version of part 2.

Shin Ji or The Yellow Guy is a version of Iron Fist from Marvel Comics. Originally partnered with Power Man in Heroes for Hire. You can look him up online. Jun or The Red Guy, is a blend of Yamcha from DBZ (Wolf Fang Fist) and Naruto.
Iron Fist is also the name of several real martial arts training techniques.
Wolf fang style martial arts are also used by multiple people coordinating together. Hence why red uses his shadow clones more often

He definitely references fights from Naruto, Boruto, Dragonball, etc. Pretty much all of the close up scenes where they're drawn with realistic proportions doing hand-to-hand are literally traced over fights from anime. He lists stuff like that in the credits. He literally uses a bunch of stuff from the Kakashi/Obito fight in the first Combat Gods

If you like something like this then I’d recommended Imitator collab either 1 or 2. And/or Dominate which is similar to combat gods, but came out before it. Great reaction through. Cant wait to see more.

I understand why people think Jun is the bad guy, but man does it irk me after finding out awhile ago why they’re fighting
Combat Gods 1 got a lot of heat because he scoped much of the close up animation and choreography from actual anime. The second part is basically his redemption.
I guess Jun has something in common with shinji's clan's destruction, and that's why shinji is so mad at him. I feel the second episode like seeing a goku vs sasuke fight in terms of symbolic. Goku is always here to protect while sasuke is here to avenge his clan. What makes it different from naruto vs sasuke is that goku is way stronger than sasuke while naruto is slightly better. Where naruto made sasuke come back to konoha with the words, Jun is waking him up to reality with his bare fists
Where do you see him being mad at jun? He wasnt mad in the first one when he thought he won. He got mad in the second one when he got his ass whopped xD. The only reason he got mad was this ass whopping, nothing else.

the shadow clone jutsu is a forbidden form of the clone jutsu for the very reason that you can use far less chakra and produce far more clones naruto using the shadowclone jutso is the reason he can pull several hundred clones out of his back pocket in a pinch also in order to dispel a shadow clone you need to deal fatal damage on top of every clone being just as strong as the user and in narutos case able to use the sage mode and nine tails chakra

I never see anyone point this out, but the finishing move that Shinji uses on Jun is repeated in Combat Gods 2, except Jun dodges/blocks every hit this time.

If you’re interested in more high quality stick fight animations I would definitely recommend those from guildedguy. They’re top notch.

It's unfortunate the first combat gods is completely plagiarized but the creator came clean in a video that he stole work from anime scenes and other independent animators but came back with part 2 a lot more humble and ethical which is dope

Greatest anime redemption arc of all time.
That's a bit black and white. He traced some scenes from a handful of select anime fights but it was certainly not completely plagiarized. You make it sound like he copy-pasted material from all kinds of sources and just superglued it together in post when there was clearly more to it than that.
From what i understand the animes he traced as wellas the specific fights he traced were originally part of his video description. I don't know why, perhaps he had to re-upload the video, perhaps it was on purpose or maybe he fatfingered it and deleted them while trying to change something else, i doubt we'll ever know for sure, but for some reason they disappeared.
I have the suspicion that the internet did an internet here and he got more heat than he deserved and he just bit the bullet and did the required groveling so the angry neckbeards would lay off him. Because part 2 is clear proof that he has the skills to back up his claims.
@@timokampwerth1996 Wouldn't call it black and white when he said everyone was right and he shouldn't take credit for everyone's work. He said himself he copied and shouldn't be excused. He even shows the videos side-by-side fram-for-frame of what he copied. He already apologized and said he should do better. It's not like I'm dragging him, the video is on his channel. No one's upset anymore. All the creators reached out and you can see in combat gods 2 that it's a collab so everything is cool now. He did something bad, apologized, and everyone moved on.

hard to say his intent was to trace an claim it original when these are well known obvious references, even the sound fx were there on top of that his og description mentioned it, "iMo" it was a love letter to the shows i figured inspired his love for animation an were more like easter eggs that had me playing "spot the anime" but if the vast majority had made their mind up on him doing so, ofc admission even if it wasn't real is the safest move because it's seen as the honorable approach to get back in the good graces of people who were the majority to believe it true, well worked on you anyway
