If you get a spot on leather/suede, silk or wool/cashmere, get it to the dry cleaners the same day, if possible or the very next day. They can get just about any spot out if done ASAP. Look for a “leather cleaning specialist” for leather and suede, they have special techniques and products. I treat all my light to medium colored suede clothing and accessories with two light coats of protective (let dry in between), water/stain repellent spray, it makes a big difference in spot and grime resistance. I like Kiwi Protect-All (All-Protect?, something like that), via Amazon. This can be used on mixed-material items, like canvas with leather trim. Thanks for your excellent video❤

I wear a silk jersey tee under my wool and cashmere sweaters and dresses. This keeps them clean for ages, barring any spots. I only occasionally dry-clean them, I can’t do the handwashing and my machine “hand-wash” cycle was not a success for sweaters. (Amazon has a good selection of long-sleeve silk knit t-shirts, some have some rayon blended in, but I don’t mind. It’s so much easier to toss a silk tee in the machine, then hang to dry, than taking a sweater to the cleaners or hand-washing it. I just check everything for spots, grime, lint, wrinkles, etc. when I take each item off, give it what it needs, including a good airing, then returning it to my wardrobe, ready to wear. This makes getting dressed fun and easy - no last minute ironing or steaming, repairs or shoe polishing! Clothes must be fully dry before wearing, anyway, or they’ll instantly wrinkle again. A fan in my laundry room takes care of the drying and airing, I have a clothes to hang them on, on hangers. Wardrobe maintenance is so important!

    This is great fashion advice!!
Thank you for explaining the importance of tailoring. I have recently been focusing on clothes that fit properly, and notice how people respond to me when I look well groomed.

I wear cashmere and silk whenever I can, silk is so easy-care and high-quality cashmere and wool, like Merino Wool, are also very high-performance in addition to being temperature-regulating. They are very resilient, so they resist wrinkles and hang and drape beautifully, I just need a silk underlayer as with cashmere. In high summer, it has to be linen, my climate is just too hot for anything else, but cotton is nice for the transitional (equinoctial) seasons. I only wear natural fibers and materials, like genuine leather, my allergic skin can’t take anything else. The only exception is the rayon/lyocell “manmade cellulosic fiber” group, it doesn’t bother my skin, I think because it’s made of plant fibers, not plastics. Quality and thickness are really important for this group, cheap rayon/viscose doesn’t perform well or look good. I’ve been styling for 40 years, I recommend buying only the best fabrics/materials one can afford, and choosing versatile, classic, timeless items, especially for the QL/OM style.❤
