It's just Sierra that's the problem. Since then, I've had nothing but trouble. Interestingly enough I found out one of my issues and that was to do with the SD Card adapter. I mentioned the SD Card reader IN my Mac wasn't working since the update so I had to use an adapter which plugs into a USB slot. I noticed since that it says 'SDHC adapter', whereas my card is SDXC. Probably means nothing to most. But as it turns out, SDHC is storage UP TO 32GB, whereas SDXC goes beyond that. So my issue with half the videos not able to transfer or play on the computer is because the adapter was only showing me 32GB worth of video and showing as 'corrupt' for the remainder of the clips. I also found out, weirdly, that if I restarted the computer WITH the SD Card in the SD Card slot that's built into the computer, that it would show up when the computer has loaded. If I take it out and back in again, it doesn't show that it exists. So only on a restart does the SD Card slot work. And the remainder of the clips would have been absolutely fine (I ran a test and maxed out an SD card to try and all footage was fine).
