I've been looking at this set!! I had all the cassette tapes years ago but sadly I lost everything and trying to find them again isn't that easy as I'm handicap and pretty much stuck indoors so online is my only option. This seems perfectly for me.

So far the only one of these value box sets that totally nailed on the extra tracks were White Lion's All You Need Is Rock N Roll set from 2020, that on every album included the single and edit versions, plus the live CD included other live tracks released as B sides on the Mane Attraction era singles.
Yeah I have the Rock Candy ones, you can't beat them - unless they decide to do a Jethro Tull-style box set for Dokken albums hah but obviously that's never going to happen.
Great video, Taylor. I've actually seen you in a couple of Facebook groups. I did have the Rock Candy Records reissues, but I sold them when I found out about this set(I love to collect box sets). I couldn't see really well. Do the booklets have recording info? I like that the cds have the Elektra label. BTW, are you going to review the Motley Crue Crucial Crue box set?
With this set it’s pretty much what you see is what you get. The inner flaps of the cases do have some recording info. I’m debating if I’ll get that Crue box or not.
I do already have the Rock Candy remasters, but I wanted to know if you could give a comparison on the quality of the remastered sound between this set and the Rock Candy set. This one was newly remastered by Andy Pearce, who generally has a good reputation with his results. If the sound quality is marginally better on this new set then it would probably be worth it for me to have both versions, double-dipping aside.
@@TaylorTCarlson Okay thanks; the Rock Candy remasters do sound nice and are a big enhancement over the original issues but as this package is also done really nicely I don't mind splurging a little bit, as it breaks down it's only ten dollars per album.
The packaging isn’t specific about that, but to my ears that DO sound a little better than past CDs. Like these have a bit more punch to them. Not a night and day difference but the best I’ve heard them sound.

Aside from missing (the song) Back for the Attack and not including the live album, this is a great release and would likely suit you!

The previous 5 cd box set have this live album at a lower price! Don't know if it sounds good or not....

I can’t really give a direct comparison (I don’t own the Rock Candys) but these are pretty solid sounding discs.

The packaging isn’t specific about that, but to my ears that DO sound a little better than past CDs. Like these have a bit more punch to them. Not a night and day difference but the best I’ve heard them sound.
